In my high school career, I want to have a high GPA, Honors/AP courses in english and history, and be valedictorian. A high GPA is my main goal, it is important for my other two goals. Having AP/Honors courses would not only help me be a better student, but also help my GPA because they’re weighted. Valedictorian is my most challenging goal, but my most desired as well. Having smart high school goals give a head start in college and in life. A high GPA is key to achieving my goals. A 2.0 GPA is required for graduation. A 4.0 GPA is required for valedictorian. Having a high GPA not only gives me a good reputation at my school, but it also gives me a better chance at a scholarship too. I need to strive for a 4.0 GPA throughout my high school career. Honors and Advanced Placement courses would also help my GPA. However, english and history AP classes are difficult but they are worth it because they are weighted. The classes are weighted so a grade of a B in an Honors or AP class is equivalent to an A. They also give college credits for passing the course, so I would save money in college too. They are difficult classes and becoming valedictorian means lots of stress. To become a valedictorian, you need a 4.0 GPA, be a recognized CSF Seal Bearer, meet all A-G requirements, and score advanced on the CAASPP for mathematics and language arts. I would face many obstacles like stress, laziness, and procrastination. However, fighting through those challenges would be worth it because becoming valediction has many rewards.
