As it apperead in a business magazine, working six hours per day may have a good impact in the employers life. Henry Ford who created the assembly line in 1914 used to have his employes working eight hours a day. Since 1914 nothing has changed, therefore as time goes by, the more we change work hours and working conditions the best results we have in the company and in the workers life, the more time passes, technology grows and humans habits change. Country's like Great britain tried changing school times to see if there would be any improvement in the students grade. Most people, especially students do their best thinking later on in the day. So the classes were changed to 8:30 to 10:00 in the morning. They had a good outcome, students grades improved by an avarage of 19%. Some companies in France and Sweden already changed their work time to six-hour, but as an outcome they had to put some guidelines in the workplace, no using of personal computer and fewer meeting is a outcome of these new hours of work. Also, workers would have a hard time applying for a health plan that full time workers get. Changing these work hours would also impact the bussiness, making the company pay the same amount for less hours worked, or by having to hire more employers or changing their bussiness time in order to follow the workers six hours schedule. Many businesses would not be okay if these changes, they would end up closing or even losing money.
