Doctors Doroghazi and Bergin suggest the Health Professions Scholarship Program as an option to pursuing the education without the financial burden. The scholarship can be used at civilian medical schools or at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). The scholarship covers full tuition and fees for civilian medical school and additionally grants a $20,000 signing bonus, a monthly stipend, and health insurance in exchange for one year of active duty for each year the scholarship is used. To become a Health Certified Health specialist it takes an individual who is passionate about giving back to their community and making it a healthier and safer environment; it requires a competent individual that is academically trained to assess and determine what is the best for the environment and for the public. According to the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (n.d.) under the CHES exam eligibility section, it states, in order to become a Certified Health Education Specialist an individual must hold a “bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree from an accredited institution of higher education”(para. 2). Treasure Coast High School is a breaking rank, small learning community high school that was established in 2006 under the leadership of Dr. Helen Roberts. Breaking ranks is a concept that refers to schools that are stepping away from the norms in education and doing things differently. There is a strong focus on data driven school decision making and the goal is to prepare students to be successful in the twenty-first century. The school has a capacity for 2500 students and employs approximately 175 teachers, staff and administrators. Due to the large size students are teamed by their English, math, science and freshman seminar teachers during the 9th grade and their English, math, science and social studies teachers during their 10th grade. Upon entering upper school (11th & 12th grades) students are teamed by their Small Learning Communities which support their Career and Technical Education programs selected during the 10th grade. Treasure Coast High boasts three innovative Small Learning Communities that support eight Career Academies. In this paper I will conduct an evaluation critique of the Health Science Program in the Public Service Academy. Just as the economy travels through its cycles, from bear to bull and back again, so does the number of doctors in the country. In the 1960s, the government began an attempt to create more physicians using various methods. One such method was to reward medical schools for training a certain number of doctors (Bernstein 1013). This would give the medical schools an incentive to accept more students and to allow the students to fully graduate and go on to attend residency programs. Another such method was to give a monetary reward to residency programs for providing graduate medical education. This totaled approximately $7 billion, a sum large enough to “pay the tuition and living expenses of every medical student in the United States” with a large portion left over as well (Bernstein 1013). As I researched this health care profession, I found it very interesting on how close this program is to becoming a doctor. Students must learn some of the same subjects that a doctor must learn, only with less time and of course they earn a lot less income. If I can turn back in time, I would advise my young self to join the Kaiser Permanente volunteering program sooner and to skip the small conversations in meetings. Those talks may seem necessary for the first few times, but this communication method can become meaningless since people do not interact on a personal level. Joining the program had supported me by allowing me to associate with various friends through teamwork and encouraged me to thrive beyond my comfort zone.

The credentialing process involves the verification of education, licensure, certification, and reference checks. In order for a nurse practitioner to be eligible to bill government agencies and insurance companies, they must be credentialed. Credentialing is a term used to designate that an individual, program, institution or product has met established standards set by (governmental or non-governmental) that they are recognized as qualified to carry out the established standards. At age ten, I left everything behind in China to start a new life with my parents in United States. It was not long before I realized that I was, in many ways, different from all the other kids in school. Gradually, I became less confident and more isolated. One day in the schoolyard, while I was playing hopscotch alone, a girl named Becca walked up to me and asked if she could join in. Although we had difficulty understanding one another's speech, we had no problem communicating through gestures and expressions. We soon realized that we had different ways of playing hopscotch. I watched her way and she watched mine; presently we came up with a brand new version of the game. Others soon joined us, and I found myself playing and laughing with kids whom I had thought I had nothing in common with. I have learned so much from Becca, but most of all I learned to not be afraid to build relationships with people who differ from me. Over the years, I have tried to live by this rule, and, as a result, have enjoyed many memorable and enriching relationships which have contributed to my desire to work with others in the practice of medicine.
I am applying to the Health Professions Recruitment and Exposure Program because I will substantially benefit from the experience that it will give me. As the name of the program states, the exposure I will be receiving will greatly influence my future learning in medical school. It will familiarize me with the hospital setting and help me adapt to it sooner than most. I want to be able absorb this information and share it amongst my peers who aspire to be in the medical field as well. This program will not only help me academically but personally as well. What if people knew that public health exists everywhere around them and how much of an impact public health has on each person’s daily life? Public Health has really opened my eyes to a different perspective of health, I never knew that so many different aspects of health were possible. I have had my CNA since 2012, and my phlebotomy certification since 2017. Ever since my first job as a CNA, the experiences I have witnessed while working in a nursing home have made me realize that I wanted to be able to help people in some way pertaining to their health. I applied to the Global MedPrep Scholars Program to study abroad in Shanghai, China. This experience allowed me to view health care from a global perspective. Studying the Chinese health care system has given me a glimpse as to what Global Health entails, allowing me to aspire towards my goal. Similarly, I believe the SPRINGH program will allow me to continue studying Global Health in the capacity of my interest. Day by day, health diets and educations started to change and vary; therefore, some problems began to exist. The consideration of whether better health education can solve these health problems is approved by some people but others do not agree. Because eating healthy becomes compulsory and people begin to have enthusiasm and desire to be healthy and also due to the influence of better health education, solution of health problems is better health education.
