Green Tea
Green tea is one of the types of tea that is entirely made out of leaves. It is also very popular in ancient times and it was originated in China. “Green tea has been used as traditional medicine in areas such as China, Japan, India, and Thailand to help everything from controlling bleeding and helping heal wounds to regulating body temperature, blood sugar, and promoting digestion.” (Green tea) Green tea is good for the body. Having a longer life is one of the good principles of drinking green tea. According to Dr. Emily Senay, “researchers from Japan conducted a study of 40,000 people ages 40-79. They followed people over 11 years and found that people, who consume five or more cups of green tea a day, were 16 percent less likely to die from anything during that time compared to people who drink one cup a day.” (Studies: Green Tea May Help Prolong Life) She meant that drinking green tea is very useful for longer life and everyone should try drinking it. She believes that drinking green tea is one out of many procedures to have a longer life. Many people all over the world would like to have a longer life because most of them want to achieve something or some of them would like to discover something. For example, engineers or kings who good things towards their people wanted long life to see if their own hard work will prosper the land. Meanwhile, in an evil scientist or leader point of view, they will want longer life to distribute their own evil plans throughout the land and rule over it.
Lowering the chances of heart diseases is also one of the benefits of drinking green tea. The book discusses tea’s medicinal qualities which include easing the effects of alcohol, acting as a stimulant, curing blotchiness, quenching thirst, eliminating indigestion, curing beriberi disease, preventing fatigue, and improving urinary and brain function.

As we age, we become more prone to a wide array of diseases, such as cancer and heart disease and treating these diseases most definitely helps us live longer but they do not seem to halt the natural aging process that eventually causes our bodies to weaken and wither away. New research suggests that, like several biological processes, the aging process could also be controlled and this could lead us to live much longer lives. However, commoners and bioethicists alike are often concerned about the bioethical issues pertaining to the life extension phenomena. They argue that the quality of life may be compromised in exchange for longevity and this may be due to intervention in the

Studies about aging are relevant in today’s society because the aging process happens to everybody. Humans want to enjoy life with their family and friends and many look forward to their retirement so they can enjoy their time doing leisurely activities. Research on trying to find a cure for different cancers and slowing down the aging process is important if humans want to live a longer and more enjoyable life. By eating foods with antioxidants, exercising on a daily basis, challenging oneself with memory and critical thinking activities, avoiding smoking and drinking too much alcohol, managing stress, and by surrounding oneself with a good support system can all contribute to a longer and happier lifespan.
The Mountain Dew case centers on the decision that the BBDO team and Pepsi executives made in regards to the Super Bowl advertisements to be aired in 2000. The creative team came up with 10 possible scenarios. Since their meeting took place in October (4 months prior to the Super Bowl) they had little time to produce the ads. The 10 concepts were quickly whittled down to 5 and the executives wanted to whittle them down to 3 in which to produce. From those 3, the best 2 would be selected to air at the Super Bowl, but all 3 would be run throughout the year. The 5 advertisements that they whittled down to were Labor of Love, Cheetah, Dew or Die, Mock Opera and Showstopper.

While tea is said to be healthier, it is the second most consumed morning beverage. Why is that? On an average day, only one in five American adults drink tea. The average tea drinker takes in more than twenty times more flavonoid antioxidants per day than non-tea drinkers. So those non-tea drinkers are missing out on their daily helping of flavonoid. Caffeine in tea isn't as much of an issue as it is in coffee.
In the present society, people’s schedules tend to be extremely hectic due to either strenuous work schedules or keeping up with school and families. Due to this, numerous individuals do not obtain the recommended eight hours of sleep. On top of not getting enough sleep, they do not eat the proper foods to nourish their bodies. In return, they have a substantial lack of energy. Usually people who do not take care of themselves tend to eventually get more tired by mid-day and as their day goes on. A simple solution would be to go to bed earlier and eat better foods. However, our society has become very lazy, obese, and have started to take the easy way out over the years. Instead of eating better and trying to get more sleep, people drink energy drinks as an easy and fast way to get a boost of energy. Energy drinks have been around since the nineteen-sixties and have become increasingly more popular. There are hundreds of different brands of energy drinks that are sold in grocery stores and gas stations today, and worse than that billions of them are consumed every year. Even though multiple energy drinks are consumed every year, many people are uninformed about; what an energy drink is, what the benefits and non-benefits are, what different types of energy drinks there are, and how mixing them with alcohol can be seriously dangerous.
It has been proven to prevent diseases and improve physical and mental ability. Fruits and vegetables also have tons of antioxidants but our bodies seem to absorb the most from coffee. Nutrients from the coffee bean are infused into the drink such as, Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5), Manganese and Potassium, Magnesium and Niacin. These beneficial elements can help boost athletic performance, if taken at the right time before a workout. Caffeine increases the number of fatty acids in the bloodstream, which allows athletes' muscles to absorb and burn those fats for fuel, therefore saving the body's small reserves of carbohydrates for later on in the exercise. Health claims are booming in today’s world. Many of these consumers are being misled by advertising and believe that their choice will benefit their health. Although herbal medicines have been in existence throughout human evolution, I have chosen to take a deeper look into these health practices. I’m curious if this is just another health claim or if there are actual benefits to taking these medicines.
