Electronics is one of the most lucrative job opportunities around today. Some of the highest paying jobs in America are in electronics. But how does video game design stack up? Game design is a complex career field because it is made up of several different aspects such as set-up, technical issues, and narrative. There are many steps involved while following the career.
Before someone can really start designing a game, they must plan and prepare. The job of a game designer is to think of all parts of the game. To do this, designers use the Game Design Document, of GDD. The GDD covers all parts of a game, even if it is not needed in every game. It starts simple with the theme, story, and backstory, but gets very detailed, down to levels, goals, and items and inventory. This document is also used in board game design, because it covers mechanics of the game and how it is played. Once the game is planned out a team must be assembled to make it. A typical team will be divided into three groups, Graphics, User Interface, and Programmers. The Graphics team will be working on the look of the game. This can really affect how the player feels while playing the game because a poorly made world will not make the player come back. The User Interface team works on the control the player gets. They design the game control and interactivity, such as what items can be moved and which can not. They also decide what must be done to accomplish certain activvites, such as a successful takedown. The final task is left for the programmer's. These are the people who “make” the game; they are in charge of bringing the game to life. Depending on the type of game the company is making more or less people and roles may be needed. For example, in a two-dime...

...gramming and also video games which is actually a large part of this career path. There are game companies that actually ask what games you have played and what you enjoy about them. If you do not like what you are doing then you will not do it well. All parts of game design take time and dedication. To succeed in this career I plan on going to college and majoring in game design, specifically game programming.

Do you want to know what the most entertaining soccer game is? It’s Rocket League. Rocket league is a soccer video game where turbo cars kick a metal soccer ball bigger than the cars themselves. It has the same rules as footsal which is indoor soccer. There is no out of bounds so players can kick the ball wherever they want. They can even hit it midair. Rocket League is entertaining because cars can drive on the walls, crash into other cars and send them flying, and when someone scores the ball explodes.
Video games are much more than just a way to pass time. It is an opportunity to experience new people and social environments, find out interests and skill sets, and to also, in an extreme case, find a career like Markiplier has done. In short I just wanted to say that I wouldn’t be where I am with my goals today if it weren’t for Markiplier’s ability to make his fans see his support of their dreams and the highlight of the most important things in reaching your goals of which include taking chances, believing in yourself, and never giving up. In the words of Mark, “never give up, no matter what may set you back, and know that at the end of the road, you’re going to have something that you can be proud of.” Don’t stop until you’re where you want to be, and even then just keep moving
Video games have become a hot topic recently. There have been a lot of controversy over whether to play or not to play. The controversy is due to them being arguably more captivating than all other forms of entertainment. Video games narrate an epic tale like no other form of entertainment can. You can become immersed in video games, because of this they are both a highly entertaining escape from the real world and a complete waste of time.
The result is a new breed of fresh and exciting game genres that people in the early 1980s could only dream about. Video games is a huge industry and it is estimated that 70% of U.S homes will own a Video game system by the year 2005 (Cassandra, 2002). The idea of making a video game first appeared in 1949 when a young engineer named Ralph Baer was given an assignment to build the absolute, best of all televisions. He wanted to go beyond his original assignment and incorporate some kind of game into the set but it would take another 20 years for his idea to become a reality.
Video games are a valuable part of the world today. They feed the minds of the creative and provoke the minds of the less creative. Violence, immersion, and an unusual setting are all qualities of a game that create an intense and memorable experience for the player. By demonstrating and improving upon the three qualities that were deemed necessary to create a good game, video games could amount to astonishing heights in the future and bring something new to the table that could surprise us all.

The evolution of the video game industry can be traced through the metamorphosis of the early, complex, fantasy-world based games that were focused on the avid adolescent gamers using conventional joysticks and consoles, to easy, realistic games that appealed to a broader spectrum of age groups using innovative wand-like joysticks and consoles.
The document will examine an Art period which has influenced the appearance and design of video games. This will include the topic of the Edo period of Japan and how it affected generations of artists to the modern day.

The future of mankind is at stake! Video games really can help people! During David Perry’s discussion on TED talk, he explains his Irish background, and how he learned the art of coding and programing while attending school in Belfast. Perry’s mother wanted him to become a dentist; however, his passion for programming lead him to becoming a video game designer. Throughout the presentation, Perry displays his passion for gaming, and how he believes, along with his colleagues, that the video game industry would eclipse the music and Hollywood industry. Perry explains if a human being can learn and change who they are as a person using their own life experiences, video games can be used to mimic these experiences to better aid mankind. Therefore, David Perry, whose ethos includes being a well-known and passionate video game designer, shows his pathos by arguing that video games offer experiences that are greater than
