This May, I end one journey and start the next as I become a freshman at a top ranking university with the intention of gaining a 4 year BSN and minoring in music composition and graduating with a 4.0. I have worked very hard to be a good student and to do the research of what it takes to be a great nurse. The adventure is going to be a long one, but it will definitely be worth it. The first thing I will do to complete these future goals is to apply for scholarships to help me pay for school as another one of my goals is to graduate debt free. My parents have decent jobs, and I am the oldest of 4 kids. They have an international buddy program that will allow me to experience a foreign exchange trip to study abroad in my junior year. I am extremely interested in traveling as I am considering becoming a travel nurse in my first few years of my career. Music has been a big part of my life, and I am excited to take my music to the next level and learn how to compose. I have had the honor of studying under one of the top Orchestra programs in the country, played with international musicians in large concert settings, and have been a part of honors orchestras all 4 years of high school. I look forward to taking that to the next level as I want to have a balanced degree in both arts and academics. I believe nursing is a calling, but also a job that can bring a financial security and opportunity for me to work anywhere in the world. I will be considering medical missions as a community service for me to give back. I am really interested in being an advocate for patients and to provide quality care for people in need. I believe that I can do that effectively through getting involved with organizations that travel to disaster relief events, as well as being involved with organizations that regularly travel to third world countries to provide healthcare to children and
