Let me start off first by thanking our friends and family for being here to join us tonight for this momentous occasion. I wish to express my appreciation to the instructors that taught us and shared their skills and knowledge to help start us on the path of our nursing career. I wish to express my deep gratitude to my family for their love and support. I know that each of us has someone at home that motivated and gave encouragement to keep working and do the best that we could. I also know that our families at home often sacrificed more than we did so we could attend this nursing program. Thank you. When I began this journey I knew that Nursing was all I wanted to do and in order to succeed and do well in nursing school, it was going to require a ton of devotion and sacrifice. Nursing school did not come without its challenges, not only did we have to deal with going to class, clinicals, studying for exams, but we also had to add in the factors of jobs, family, marriages, children, sickness and our daily life. But our instructors encouraged us and pushed us to keep going, and for that we are grateful because we all made a decision to stick with it, and here we are today. It seems unimaginable that just a year ago this journey was just beginning, but here we are today a year later, …show more content…
This is one of the values that is of the utmost importance when being a nurse. We must have compassion for our patients. We as nurses will make an impact every single day in the lives of people in our community. We need to realize that we are the voice of the voiceless and the advocates for those who cannot advocate for themselves. You realize that even by helping one person, you are making a difference and are making the world a better place one patient at a time. Some of us may enter the field and some of us may be continuing on in our education, but we all share one thing in common, we are all nurses and we all made
My courses and experience has empowered, and has reinforced my determination to pursue a career as a nurse. I am eager and excited about starting nursing school, and having my dream which started as a young girl to come full circle. I am convinced I am a good candidate because I have the innate drive to complete the program. I am willing to learn and use those skills and knowledge acquired to provide something meaningful to the society and humanity. I have the personal determination to face the challenges and rigors of nursing school. With hard work, perseverance, and determination I believe I have the essential character to be successful as a nursing student and an excellent quality nurse in the near future. A degree in nursing paves ways for other degrees to emerge especially for those interested in furthering their education in health care. I am committed to continue to pursed advanced degree in nursing ultimately becoming a nurse practitioner. . In the next five to ten years from now, I want to write articles and books about nursing and healthcare related. Therefore, I believe that if I improve myself further positively, I will grow from strength to strength and one day my paper will be read in one of the prestigious newsletters, journals, and textbooks. I know the sky is my starting
Good Morning. I would like to thank you for taking the time to sit down with me today and for this wonderful opportunity that I am being blessed with. With that being said, I have chosen to answer question three. In March 2015 my mother in law suffered a massive heart attack while home alone. She was not feeling well and called my husband to come take her to the hospital.
Every single encounter I had, including those with my peers and facilitators have left me a better nurse and person than when I arrived. It truly has been an honor and a privilege to be a part of this experience as it motivates me to seek out new experience and research to facilitate my continued growth both personally and as a nurse partaking in the process of my cleints’ “becomings”. When I first thought that I wanted to be a nurse I heard a lot of positive words of encouragement and advice but I also heard, “Nursing school is going to be the hardest thing you ever do” or “Are you sure you can do nursing school? I heard it was really hard.”. I still hear even from family, classmates, my friends; “I can’t believe you are in nursing school, care for your patient, and have a child. I don’t know how you do it.” My response is always the same, I am in nursing school because this is my passion, it has been since I was a senior in high school, 10 years ago. I love to help and care for others, seeing their smiles just brings me so much joy. Nursing school is hard and
Becoming a nurse is probably my most noteworthy achievement. Neither of my parents or any family member have ever been to college. My family was never in the best life circumstances of me leaving for college. Yet, I was privileged enough to be able to put myself through school financially, by working various jobs. Being able to achieve my Bachelor's degree from an accredited school is a great achievement I am proud of. Becoming a nurse was the easy part though, the relationships that developed through my experiences have become my most meaningful and difficult achievements. Day in and day out I see people at their worst. People are stressed, hurt and afraid. I love being able to give them strength, hope and compassion. This relationship works both ways though. Patients', their families and their lives have taught me so much. The experiences nursing has given have become my most meaningful achievements. My goal to pursue advanced practice nursing will only further these achievements. I hope to encourage people more, teaching them how to take control of their lives in whatever way they see fit. I know I cannot teach passion, but I hope to inspire people by having them witness the passion that I have, passion that I have acquired by watching patients and their experiences. I fully anticipate to keep giving my gift to wherever the
If nurses cannot care about the people that they are taking care of, then they are not the ideal nurses. When caring for people, the nurse should always be kind, compassionate, and have respect for the patients that they are caring for and the people around them. Nurses all around the world deal with every kind of patients with injuries and sickness. Caring nature of nurses shows the patient and family that we as nurses truly care about their situation. The care that we provide to our patients defines our work and us as nurses. Nurses are the backbone of patients when they are not that strong enough to support themselves. It is up to nurse to make sure that their patients receive the best quality
Ladies! Really,in this day in age could this old wise tale really be floating around. By now we all know that men have singular focus, RIGHT? Don't get me wrong they are intelligent beings, but I have yet to meet a man that can read between our cryptic lines. Man want to know if you are interested with little to know effort. I am telling you to enter the bar yelling "Who's taking me home tonight!", all I'm saying is if he shows interest it is okay to let him know yo are just as interested in him. Playing hard to get will sent the wrong message simply because your message will most like be misread!
It takes empathy for people by upstanding morals and values. As a nurse, my goal is to provide competent, empathetic, compassionate, and optimal holistic care to the best of my ability to my patients. This philosophy stems from the values and beliefs instilled in me during my childhood. These values and beliefs are accompanied by trust worthiness, respect, compassion, and that is what drove me to this profession and is currently driving me as I continue my journey as a bedside nurse.
I have known Brittany for not to long and for her to ask me to do this for her was honestly so honoring. Preparing this speech was something I felt that I needed to perfect and make sure it made sense but if you get it or not I at least know that Brittany will always understand me so here we go. Brittany ,my friend, that I will always enjoy a good laugh with even though there isn't much to laugh about. You have been someone really big in my life and there isn't a person in the world that could tell you how much I appreciate you. Well let's start from the beginning 7th grade during Iflight in math I saw you

Waves of idle chatter emanated from the grand dining hall as the lords and ladies of Knavewich anxiously awaited the grand arrival of their ruler, King Abimelech. His Majesty was to be the officiator of the annual graduation banquet, a feast held in honour of the young squires who had proven themselves worthy of joining the Knavewich Coalition of Knights – the village’s elite defensive league. However, to the uneasy curiosity of the attendants, the king was mysteriously absent from his throne at the far end of the ebony table. The chamber was decorated exquisitely for the occasion.

Goodmorning everybody, & Hey Sis! Have I ever called you that before? I think somewhere along the lines of calling you annoying and bossy I never remembered to call you “Sis,” but you are—and always have been—the best sister a girl could've grown up with. Sooo this speech obviously goes you my older & crazy sister Cathy! I want to start off by saying a few things and by thanking you.
Greetings Uncle, My most honourable Uncle, I am writing to inform you of a multitude of misconducts by the Duke of Ferrara, and to persuade you to abolish the marriage plans between him and your daughter immediately. The Duke is an abominable man who is unfit to marry your amiable, well-mannered daughter, Carol. With disheartening, horrific evidence at hand, I sincerely hope to change your mind about the entirety of this marriage. I attended his most recent speech at his palace and learned much about him that I feel would be of concern to you. The Duke of Ferrara is a distasteful, abhorrent man who wishes to control everything around him.
How are you? I love reading your stories! Sounds like a splendid day! Last minute plans are often the best... You enjoy biking as well? That is great! Do you bring your own bike or do you rent one? I am happy that you had a wonderful time in your “hometown”. Thank you for the info regarding the Cheltenham (pronounced Cheltnam :-)) Day. If we are in town, we may pay a visit. I really enjoy small town festivities.
