Who is my favorite president? That is a question I have never had to ask myself. There has been so many presidents that have done good things for our country, but there has also been some Presidents that have not done so well as far as the citizens of the United States are concerned. It seems that every elected president i have ever seen or heard of in office has done something wrong based on the fact that there are citizens that do not agree with a decision that he has made, whether it be sending our troops overseas to fight in a war or applying some type of law that they feel will help with our economy or improve the quality of life of the citizens. Regardless of what decisions are made it seems to be there will be someone that disagrees and will have to have their say. Although I have not been alive long enough to see or realize what the presidents that have been in office in my time have done, I have learned of presidents throughout history that have been of great essence to our countries growth.
Although i do not have a favorite president that I can particularly pick. One of the presidents who i found most inspiring was Franklin D. Roosevelt. I think That President Roosevelt was an inspiring because of the many things he was able to accomplish. Roosevelt was born on January 30, 1882 in New York near the village of Hyde Park. Roosevelt was home schooled up until the age of fourteen, when he attended Groton school for boys. After graduating in 1900, Roosevelt attended Harvard University where he obtained a degree in only three years. During his last year at Harvard he became

...was president for four terms from 1933 until his death in April 12, 1945. To me President Roosevelt was a big inspiration based on the fact that he may not been a success in all of his ventures, he continued on, he did not allow his paralysis from polio prevent him from walking even if it was just briefly. Roosevelt was a proud man and did not want Americans to think he was helpless. Roosevelt even designed his own wheelchair out of a desk chair and bicycle tires. President Roosevelt dealt with a lot throughout his presidency and showed strong character. This is why President Franklin Delano Roosevelt is one of the presidents that I find most inspiring .

The best presidents that the United states has ever seen have to have been Abe Lincoln or George Washington. They were both loyal and cared about their country. George Washington founded the base for our beautiful country that we live in to this day. Abe Lincoln put a stop to slavery during his presidency before he was shot in the back of the head and murdered in the Ford Theater. They both put a lot of time and effort into building our country up. George Washington was an Army general and fought in many hard battles in the cold and across rivers and lakes. We have a lot to thank these men for and lots to learn from their noble actions. Living in their legacy is the whole United States that thanks them for their service. Another great president
Jackson and Lincoln are considered the best presidents in United States history for many reasons. Jackson was president when the country seemed to be more stable and at peace. Lincoln was President when there was more conflict and war.
He experienced life as a rancher which allowed him to relate to the working class citizens of America. He always kept the working classes best interest in mind and was fair to everyone. He was a war hero. He put his foot down and spoke out against political corruption. When it came to foreign and domestic affairs Teddy Roosevelt spoke softly but carried a big stick. He was prepared to use force when necessary but often used persuasion to avoid conflict and keep tranquility in the world. He didn’t let Congress push him around like how he threatened Congress to pass the Meat Inspection and Pure Food and Drug acts. He showed strength and interest in the future by dismantling monopolies, building the Panama Canal, and by preserving land. Teddy Roosevelt kept the average working class American’s best interest in mind and through his toughness he gave America a square
Throughout history, United-States citizens have elected several presidents, and each one of them are worth knowing for an event or an act in particular. There is an infinite amount of lessons that can be learned from other people’s mistakes, victories, and defeats. Theodore Roosevelt is one of the elected presidents, and he is worth knowing because he helped establish the Children's Aid Society, he facilitated the construction of the Panama Canal and he averted a national emergency by dealing with the 1902 coal strike. Roosevelt's had a profound impact on our society.
During the 20th century many different presidents went in and out of the doors of the White House serving the country the best they could. However, two of these men hold a place in American history as perhaps the greatest leaders that had ever served our country. Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson are two extraordinary men that symbolize the hope and aspirations of the American people during such a tumultuous time in United States history. Both of these men held leadership qualities like no other, had strong views for America, and held exceptional ideas on foreign policy.
Theodore Roosevelt JR. was born on October 27, 1858, in New York to Theodore Roosevelt SR. and Martha Bulloch Roosevelt. Theodore Roosevelt JR. was a very sick boy, he suffered from asthmatic attacks which caused the frightening sensation of drowning (Grondahl 2015 7-8). These sensations and attacks caused Theodore a lot of obstacles in his childhood. By attending Harvard College in 1875 when he was just seventeen years old, Theodore was able to push past all his setbacks from his childhood (Grondahl 2015 37). After attending Harvard and graduating in 1880
President Franklin Roosevelt was one of the greatest presidents in the history of the United States. He created economic stability when the United States was suffering through the Great Depression. In his first three months of office, known as the Hundred Days, Roosevelt took immediate action to help the struggling nation.1 "In a period of massive unemployment, a collapsed stock market, thousands of banks closing for lack of liquidity, and agricultural prices fallen below the cost of production," Roosevelt passed a series of relief measures.2 These relief measures, known as the New Deal, provided help for individuals and businesses to prevent bankruptcy. Also, the New Deal is responsible for social security, welfare, and national parks. A further reason why Roosevelt is considered a great president is because he was a good role model for being determined in his...
In conclusion, Theodore Roosevelt was my choice for this research paper because to me, he was the best president. He did so much for our country including being the youngest president that ever was in office, having 9 different jobs while also taking care of the whole country, and along with those, he presented so many good things that makes me love our country. He was the best US president that ever
Theodore Roosevelt was one of our greatest presidents. He created the FDA and improved the position of the presidency greatly. Before Theodore came to be president, the position of presidency was slow and wasn’t very interesting so he made the executive branch more powerful by starting new reforms and a strong foreign policy. The life of a president is hard. It is full of stress, responsibilities, and a strong dedication the welfare of your country. Theodore had to deal with all of these presidential stresses, taking up much of his time. Do you know, though, that despite being a president, he led a life of excitement and freedom that many other presidents had never before experienced? Theodore, “Teddy” as his first wife Alice called him, Roosevelt was more than just our president, he was a dedicated author who wrote many books; he was also a rancher, and, surprisingly, he was a big time hunter. Even though Theodore Roosevelt was a president, his life was filled with exciting adventure, times of hardships, responsibilities to many, and influences upon many government positions.
Who was the greatest president of the United States? There have been many great presidents in the history of the U.S. Many presidents have led our country through very trying times. Some people believe Lincoln was the greatest president. However, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt led our country at times when a great leader was needed. Franklin D. Roosevelt was the greatest president of the United States because of his New Deal, his great leadership skills, and his strong and deep connection to the people of the United States.
President Kennedy very famous quote “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” was definitely fulfilled by himself actually. The things JFK did for this nation in his short term will forever be remembered in history. He took technology to a whole nother level by having a vision of taking a man off this planet & his putting him on the moon literally. His involvement with the civil rights movement changed this nation forever. From being a country that based your rights on what color you are to where we are now is remarkable. Now the United States is a country that many other nations look up to & actually base their rights & laws off of. Just like we used England 's Bill of rights to set our laws now other country are using are`s to set their laws & rights.
President Roosevelt brought the executive branch of the government into power like never before. He is hated to this day by many people. But for the majority of the country during one of our toughest times, he was what we needed. Without consulting history acknowledging that, it’s impossible to judge what he did very negatively. The old ways weren’t working, and while President Hoover tried to do something, it wasn’t enough. President Roosevelt was more successful with the actions he took for relief during the Great Depression.
Without a doubt, there have been great presidents throughout American history. The subject of the matter is debatable about who has done the best job for the position. When you ask Americans who the greatest president ever to serve is, five names would be repetitive: Andrew Jackson, George Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln is more than likely always at the top of the list. He is commonly known as the best president of the United States, and I can't help but agree.
Over the course of the past years, there have been many presidents and debates whether or not they have been beneficial to the United States of America. Even though there have been other great presidents, people should know that Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president was unquestionably an astonishing president. He was a great president because of how he: lead the union to victory, helped slaves to freedom, and issued the Emancipation Proclamation.
There were many great Presidents that been through America. I’m going to list a few in order of the greatest to least; Abraham
