John F. Kennedy “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” was once said by the 2nd youngest president in our long history. John F. Kennedy in my opinion was one of the greatest president ever. A good president symbolize what the United States stands for. I honestly believe that all of best presidents in our nation was in the 1900s. In the new century there hasn 't been a president that changed the United States in a good way yet. But everyone has their own opinion on everything. John F. Kennedy was actually born as Jack F. Kennedy. JFK was born on May 29, 1917 in Brookline, Massachusetts. That 's basically the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. JFK had 9 brothers & sisters. JFK`s family wasn 't that close of a family but none the less JFK himself was a family man. But being President is a busy job so he probably didn 't get that much time with them anyway (History.com. A&E Television Networks,n.d. Web). JFK was indeed born to one of America’s wealthiest families. JFK first attended Princeton University but, after just one year he transferred to Harvard University where he graduated in 1940. Besides being a President JFK was also the lieutenant of his navy crew during WWII (John F Kennedy. N.p., n.d.). He also served three terms in the House Of Representatives. In 1952 JFK was elected to the U.S.senate. Then later in 1960 JFK was nominated by the Democratic Party to run for president against Vice president Richard Nixon ("John F. Kennedy Elected President." History.com. A&E Television Networks, n.d. Web). President Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas ("Death of a PRESIDENT." New York Times Upfront). JFK had lots of accomplishments in his short term president term. H... ... middle of paper ... ... was not alive to witness that his imagination & promise had been fulfilled. President Kennedy very famous quote “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” was definitely fulfilled by himself actually. The things JFK did for this nation in his short term will forever be remembered in history. He took technology to a whole nother level by having a vision of taking a man off this planet & his putting him on the moon literally. His involvement with the civil rights movement changed this nation forever. From being a country that based your rights on what color you are to where we are now is remarkable. Now the United States is a country that many other nations look up to & actually base their rights & laws off of. Just like we used England 's Bill of rights to set our laws now other country are using are`s to set their laws & rights.
