The pilots enjoyed breaking several world records and seeing beautiful sights from around the world, but they would never travel the world by plane again because of the severe hardships they endured caused by the different climates. The author’s purpose for writing this book was to inform people about the first flight around the world and to describe how they felt during the flight.
These are the main points of this book. Chapter 1 and 2: before they could take flight the government had to find 8 pilots to take the journey. Then they had to plan out the trip and get clearance from the countries they were flying though or stopping in.
