It is a known and accepted fact that several of the clan's members are less than morally upstanding - Pandora's Fears (Altair, Corsair, and Red Sky) for example, are literal pirates (though they do attempt to keep that truth hidden) who raze other clans homes, stealing their treasure and any valuable items. However, if the general consensus of the clan is that some dragon "went too far" doing something morally questionable, there will be a trial, after which the dragon in question will either be allowed to stay (but warned not to do their crime again) or chased out of the territory, anything they don't physically have on them left behind to the clan. It should be noted, too, that (even though there aren't any explicit rules) no one is aggressive to their neighbors - no one dares to be; the clan is so tightly knit that, generally, no dragon wants to hurt any of their clanmates, and those that would don't dare to for fear of repercussions from more powerful members of the
The book, “The House of the Scorpion” by Nancy Farmer is a 3 time award winner and a fantastic novel in the genre of utopia and dystopia. Matt is a clone saved from the burden of having a blunted intelligence. Evidence from the book supports this was a faulty move. The novel also says why El Patron blunts their intelligence; it's fully out of greed. Overwhelmingly, it seems that these things played a big part in the outcome of the novel, and why Matt is such a interesting, dimensional character in the book.

In Act 1, Scene 1 of the Crucible, Arthur Miller’s theme is evident when Abigail worryingly puts all the blame on tituba because she knows that Tituba’s race puts her at a disadvantage, thus leading to tituba lying for her own safety. Passionately trying to seek answers Parris threateningly screams, “ You will confess yourself or I will take you out and whip you to your death, Tituba!”(Miller 24) Tituba fearfully replies, “ No--no, don’t hang Tituba. I tell him I don’t desire to work for him, sir.” (24). In the quote, Parris didn’t like that tituba didn’t tell him she dealt with the devil so he threatened to kill her. Historically whipping was a method to abuse or punish slaves for misbehaving. After the beatings if still alive the slaves will suffer mental and physical distress. This image of a brutal death
Shadow of a Doubt is an Alfred Hitchcock film that was shot on location in the 1940's town of Santa Rosa, California. The town itself is representative of the ideal of American society. Mankind has always had codes of conduct. Every culture has a certain idea of how to behave, and typically the word for that behavior, when you boil down all of the chivalric knights and seppuku practicing samurai, you will meet the crystalline core: being that of “honor.” In its traditional definition concerning human demeanor, it is defined as such: an honorable individual is loyal, trustworthy, honest; in a word, honor is commanded by integrity. In the feudal world, it was necessary to have men of honor and integrity on your side. It is a classic example in the cultures of peerages. In such a time, honor is gold. The Bard himself, William Shakespeare, lived in an era where his country teetered on the edge of two extremes. In his history
At an undetermined point in the history of man, a people, while still in the state of nature, allowed one person to become their leader and judge over controversies. This was first the patriarch of a family, then the wisest or fittest militarily of a tribe. These leaders ruled by wisdom and discretion, though neither they nor their followers were subject to any ratified laws. These rulers represented the earliest signs of an emerging hierarchical order, yet did not constitute a government in the formal sense.
Honor killing could be a wrong cultural tradition. It is unjust and inhumane action. The murderer of that type deserves punishment.”
