Everyone needs a hero because they make everyone feel safe and they a good role models. They protect everybody from bad guys and they help everyone in a time of crisis. Like the firefighters and the people in the military help. Firefighters help by taking out fires and saving people from burning buildings. And a military force helps by defending everyone's country from invading nations, riots, and wars.
They are also looked up to and people always want to be like them someday. Like when a person watches a firefighter, policeman, or a person that's in the military on the news doing great things and everybody wants to be like them. They are also followed by people so they can be just like them. There aren’t that many role models in today's world because people are always doing bad thing the end them up in jail.
Not only can they make people feel safe and are always looked upped to they are also there for guidance to make the world a better place by helping people get what the need like food, water, and jobs. They also are loved by all the people in the world, who know that they will change the world. Some people may even become heros if they have a role model to look up. Like if someone looked

They also serve as a line of defense or just keeping fires and riots out of place to keep safe. It is cool to have a family member to look up to because there are not a lot of role models in this world because people are always going to jail even if they are good people in society. And having a family member as a hero they can help their siblings which will increase their ratings in wanting to go to the military or something like that. Although they have role models in their family doesn’t mean that all of them want to be heros and make their own live instead of following somebody’s
So you are a new recruit/rookie/probies. Well then congrats on your achievement of completing the fire academy training. Remember everyone was once in your shoes. When you are hired on to a department. The people of that department, you could be serving with for maybe 10 or more years. To help prepare you for your career in the fire service here is ten thing you must know.
Being a hero means to be willing to risk your life for others. Such as, Pat Tillman. Pat Tillman was a fantastic football player and he loved playing it too. Despite that, Pat Tillman turned down a 3.6million dollar contract to the Arizona Cardinals to go fight the war against terrorism. He ended up dieing from friendly fire. All this goes to show how brave Pat Tillman was to risk his life and give up his football career to go fight in Afghanistan to help protect the American people. Likewise, the people that helped evacuate New York City after the
Through reading about these heroes, kids believe that there are good things that happen to good people. These heroes encourage many kids when they’re young, and provide them with right and wrong. For example, many fairy tales and comic stories show kids the kinds of behaviors that need in order to succeed in life, to improve society, and to overcome hard times. They become their example of healthy adult role models who through hard times and many contractions they were able to react positively and overcome hard times. Heroes prove to them that no matter how much suffering and hardships in the world, there are good people, who always do the right thing and provide us with hope in hard times. Heroes do provide courage for us to overcome emotionally, physically, or spiritually
Envision yourself in a deep sleep, your spouse lying next to you. For seven years of marriage, your greatest quandary has been your partners obnoxious snoring. Now, you are rattled awake by the wailing of your smoke detector, just outside your bedroom door. You hear the sobbing of your three month old baby boy from just down the hall, and feel the tug of you five year old son on the sleeve of your t-shirt. Forced out the second story window by the fuming blaze barricading the only outlet of the room, you free fall 22 feet onto the frozen ground. Beyond smoke inhalation and second degree burns, you now have a fractured ankle and several severe lacerations. Your spouse, your eldest son, and yourself are now free from the bloodthirsty inferno. Sirens howl, two blocks away. A rescue engine, equipped with three firefighters, is first on scene- 18 minute response time. A second engine arrives, equipped with three firefighters- 23 minute response time. Twenty-five minutes after the initial alarm, a hand line is pulled. Incident commander declares the residence unsafe for entrance. This rescue mission has now become a recovery mission.
In my opinion, a hero is someone whose principal purpose, whether it be in one situation or over the span of their entire life, is to help others while simultaneously making the world a better place. When the word hero is brought up, the most prevailing image that comes to mind is superheroes like Batman and Superman. But I don’t think you have to have superpowers or even be well known in order to be a hero. There are people all over the world whose intention is to do selfless deeds and go out of their way for others without expectation of obtaining anything in return. These are the type of people I like to consider everyday heroes. They go through life just trying to be the best they can and trying to help as many people as they can. Whether
Some definitions of heroes are people, who have noble qualities, and put the lives of others before their own life. They are expected to be reasonable and calm, during scary times, like when a shooting is going on, looking out for
A hero is someone you look up to, someone who has done something to inspire you, someone who is your role model. In our society, there are many different types of heroes—family, friends, teachers, firefighters, and police officers to name a few. But a hero that stands out to me is a U.S. soldier. Soldiers risk their lives every day just so we can have our freedom.
A hero is a man who is distinguished by exceptional courage, nobility. and strength to carry out tasks that involve great risks. A hero can also be a person who fights for other people to help or save them. from their fears and fears. He opposes the villain - a person who does wicked or intentionally harm others in some way, emotionally or otherwise.
Every year communities struggle each year around the nation with issues of life safety. In 2012, the nation’s fire departments responded to 31,854,000 responses that resulted in the deaths 0f 2,855 civilians and injuring 16,500 causing an estimated $12,427 million dollars in damage. (United States Fire Administration, 2014) These incidents put at risk 345,950 career and 783,300 volunteer firefighters that resulted in the deaths of 81 individuals (U.S. Department of Homeland Security, 2013) and nearly 70,000 reported injuries. ( Karter & Molis, 2013) These numbers represent incidents that are determined to be in the line of duty but do not take into consideration the long-term health risk issues that may develop. Evidence shows that he hazards associated with Fire and Emergency Services are consistent across the board whether paid or volunteer and jeopardize the lives and health of each individual, placing administrative and physical control measures reduces this risk to firefighter within an organization. While it is impossible to eliminate the hazards firefighters face, it is important to identify these hazards as the first step in reducing the potential for loss of life and wellbeing both physically and mentally.
They set the example of us. There are some similarities to the concept of hero in mythical stories and present worlds. Our expectation is set by myths. We look for progress in our lives and in those of others. We expect the obstacles; we say ‘no pain, no gain’. Heroes make sure the journey worth the effort and hard work always pays of. They also present the ideas that harder we work, more successful we will be. It helps us to be a more productive and more
The fire service is a noble profession with a long distinguished history of life-saving rescues and acts of heroism. However, there is a gloomy side of the fire service that contains ethics or moral violations that undermine the peerless life-saving acts and the public trust. Fire and emergency medical services respond to calls for help, entering private homes and businesses to assess patients or mitigate an emergency. Rarely is there an instance where trust or ethics are ever questioned, and personnel is allowed to open wallets, purses or move through the building to search for pertinent information. Additionally, personnel is allowed to medically treat patients who require the palpation and examination of various parts of the body.
The fire service has many years of traditions. Many of those traditions are good. However, some of those traditions are hurting and in some cases lead to the death of fire fighters. After finishing my research paper, I hope brings to attention that changes are needed in the fire service. The audience I am reaching out to are my fell fire fighters and fire administration. After reading, will look at current policies and procedures, and fire tactics on the fire ground. Fire administration will take the appropriate action to make the fire service more discipline. I will be taking an investigation look into different incidents that have accorded on fire ground scenes. Could have the injury and or death be avoided?
It doesn’t matter how you meet one of these interesting characters, whether it be through comic books, movie theaters, or T.V. shows, or video games, you can’t help but be motivated to help and care for others as these great people do themselves. Superheroes, though fabricated and impractical, can express humanity on a deeper level than most real people can and this is the reason why superheroes are able to reinforce morals and ethics in society today. Even though these superheroes are obviously fictional, they can still have a Hulk-sized impact on people’s lives. Super heroes leave impacts on people through their own humanity, like how The X-Men exhibit and express the qualities of kind hearted people even when others do not, how Spider-Man teaches people, that doing the right thing – whether it be strenuous or not – is more of an obligation and less of a choice, and how The Power Rangers teach people, that even superheroes, our visions of perfect, need help and need breaks from time to time. Let’s start off with The X-Men, a band of misfits, mutants, or even outcasts, and all of whom have been mistreated and ostracized by humanity because of their differences.
Role models have an astounding effect on the lives of young people in our society. A role model has the ability to shape the views, ideals, and actions of a young person. Role models help youth discover how they wish to become in the future. The influence that role models have on young people is tremendous. It is important for role models to be positive and responsible in instilling good morals and values because future generations are directly dependent on the role models of today.
Science and Technology has been around from the beginning of time. It evolved from the everyday efforts of people trying to improve their way of life. Throughout history, humankind has developed and utilized tools, machines, and techniques without understanding how or why they worked or comprehending their physical or chemical composition. Before we go any further a definition has to be given for both Science and Technology because they are both different in their own right even though the two are almost indistinguishable. According to the Oxford Dictionary Technology can be defined as the knowledge or use of the mechanical arts and applied sciences, while Science can be defined as the branch of knowledge involving systematized observation and experiment. Science can be further divided into three separate categories; Pure, Applied and Natural Sciences. In addition technology is often defined as applied science, it is simply the application of scientific knowledge to achieve a specific human purpose, however, historical evidence suggests technology is a product of science.
