Everyone seems to define family differently, however, the significance of family is the same. For you, family means everything. You can always count on your parents and siblings for help and love. Family is very valuable and important to you and should never be taken for granted. No one can deny that family is the foundation of our generation. A family is where we all start our life journey and helps us grow to be successful throughout our lives. Most people today think that family is just being close and knowing each others past and secrets. When really, family means being there for someone when they really need you. Family is being able to pick up the phone and call someone at whatever time of the day, and them be there for you as soon as they hang up the phone. Times get rough and if they’re not there, then you shouldn’t consider them family. Without a family, who else would you have? Your family is seriously the only ones you can count on. There may be times where no one is there for you, your friends betray you in some way, and the only one that will be waiting with open arms are you family. It is very important to always cherish and appreciate the love, comfort, help, and attention that your family offers you because if you don’t, you may just end up regretting it in the end. A family does not necessarily have to be considered blood. If you have close friends that you see as a brother or sister because of their loyalty to you and the way they treat you, they are considered family. A family will always bring peace, love, and happiness, and though there may be times that you bump heads with your family members, you always run back to each other and speak as if everything is perfectly
My family has always been there for me which is why I took our family photo for my art project. Even though we can get under each other’s skin sometimes at the end of the day we all still love each other and have one another to talk to and to blow steam off of. Like in the books how Izzie and Mira went to their mom for help I go to my mom for help all the time. Mira’s brothers were there to watch out for them when it came to boys and dating. I hate to say it but my little brother and younger guy cousins have gone on dates with me and my boyfriend’s more than anyone. I guess what I’m trying to say is that family will always be there for you. Even the times when you wish they weren’t. In the end family is all you’ve got.

My family is the most important people in my life. I can always count on my family to be there in my time of need, and someone that is always there to laugh with me and make great memories with. Even though I am ten hours away from home, I know I can still call my mom and dad anytime, day or night, just to simply say “hey what’re you doing?”, or to talk about things going on at Union. I encourage you as you move forward in life to always make the most of the little things in life. You never know when the unexpected might occur, so never take your family for

Family has played an intricate role in the development of the society in which we live. The diversity in which families are formed is now becoming even more diverse with the American culture, which is changing at a rapid pace. Diverse cultures coupled with social economic challenges are key contributors to the dramatic change to the institution of family. With these challenges facing the institution of family, this closely tightknit unit which has been the cornerstone of American society has diminishing from a traditional standpoint. Non-kinship family networks like the one described in Karen V. Hansen’s “The Cranes, An Absorbent Safety Net,” goes against the norm of the common institution of family within America. Although the Crane family

To one that could mean people who
When the word “family” is discussed, most people think of mothers, fathers, and other siblings. Some people think of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and even cousins and more on the pedigree tree. When people hear the word family they think about, the ones who will help them in any way they can whether it’s money, support, advice, or anything to help them succeed in life. Family will forever be the backbone of support.
As a child, family was very important to me. My parents made it very clear that the people in your family are the people that are going to be on your side for the rest of your life. My parents were young when they had me so they needed some extra help. Although they did everything in their power to make sure their work schedules were set so that somebody would always be at home to watch me, that just wasn 't always possible. When in doubt, my granny would always come through. I began to build a very strong bond with her being that she was one of my main care takers. Over the years my parents started to figure things out so they no longer needed grannies help. But this is not what I wanted. Instead of

To me, family is a group of people that are brought together by blood, adoption, or marriage. I also believe that people do not have to be blood-related to be considered a family. If two or more people have a connection with one another where they can rely and depend on each other and have an emotional attachment, I also believe that to be considered family. Golics, Azam, Finlay, & Salek (2010), define family as a diverse group of people that care for each other on a day-to-day basis (p. 400). My mother and father are still married after 27 years. When I think of family, I think of the close-knit bond I have with my family, the love between my sister and I as we have grown so much closer over the years, and the strength that one 's’ family can bring them. I know that I would not be where I am today without my family being there by my side every step of the way. It is just like that cliche saying, ¨Friends will come and go but family is forever.¨ I see it all the time people taking their family for granted, getting angry that they care for you and want your best interest, and trying to push them away. I am here to tell you, do not push, pull those people as close to your heart as you can, love them, and cherish them because they won 't be there forever and one day, I promise you will
