In order to conduct our final project and achieve the outcomes we wanted, many skills were needed. Teamwork and cooperation were the most important skills because I was working with two people who I have never worked with before. Communicating with the others was difficult at first, and since they already knew each other it was hard to put my input in. After we spent time out of class together it became natural and we all worked really well together. Working with surveys was a necessary skill too. We used google forms a platform I had used in the past and having the prior knowledge made the survey past of the project easier. Administering the survey over a wide range of people is something I had never done before, but those skills were easily obtained.

Over Thanksgiving break, I spent much time trying to decide how we were going to present the project to the class. Everyone in our group contributed equally towards the content of the project, but I was mainly the one to piece it all together for display. This part of the project may seem easy, but it took many attempts and fails to say and show what we meant. I enjoy making slideshows, so naturally I took lead on this role. All of us sent out the survey, but in order to make sure we got more answers I put an announcement on my sorority/fraternity Facebook page. I think I deserve the letter grade of an A for this work because it was time consuming over break and I feel very passionate about the results. From television to movies, people across the world have been intrigued from what the saw, and has grown a sparked interest in the minds of others to learn more about what they saw. This intrigued interest is referring to the topic of Pop Culture viewed in media. Pop cultural can be very influential to the public, and in recent years colleges and universities have given students the option to explore many aspect of pop culture seen in the media in the classroom environment. Studying, and learning pop cultures can be very beneficial, because it can address current issues in the world, and influence the daily lives of an individual. Therefore, pop culture deserve academic study, because people can learn from it, it is a part of their daily lives, and it brings world issues in the public's eyes.
Hmong parents feared that their children would forget and abandon the values of the culture and traditions that has been in the Hmong communities for many generations (Lee et al., 2009). Therefore, Hmong parents became stricter on their children as a way to cope with their worries (Lee et al., 2009; Supple & Small, 2006). Hmong parental control over their children came in forms of one-way communication from the parent to the children, controlling their children’s behavior, monitoring their children’s activities, restricting their children’s freedom, verbal warnings, and physical punishment (Lee & Green, 2008; Pang, 1997; A. Supple et al., 2010; A. Supple & Small, 2006; Xiong et al., 2005). Although Hmong parents saw this as a way to protect their children and preserve their culture values and traditional practices, Hmong students perceived authoritarian parenting as being presumptuous (Supple et al., 2010). Hmong students found it difficult to understand the desire for parental control and the value for wanting to retain the Hmong culture since they are now living in the United States (Supple et al., 2010).

Time sure does fly; in the blink of an eye, yet another 7.5-week class has come and gone. Just like life, it is scary to think that in just a few short years I will be graduating college and be in search of a future career. The magnitudes of readings, assignments, PowerPoint lectures, and videos have all contributed to the valuable knowledge I have gained since taking this course. Nothing that was presented or required was seen as invaluable towards my progression of career development. This career development course has allowed me to do some self-exploration, career research, and help me understand what influencing factors were related to the job market. Ultimately, this class helped me gauge and find a suitable career path, which will forever shape my future.
As a second language learner I have never expected myself to be a perfect writer throughout the semester. Even If English was my first language still, I would not be a perfect writer. It is not about first or second language, it is about how well I understand the learning objectives. Then organizing and writing with my own ideas and putting them in my paper. I am going to be honest, I am not good at English subject and English subject is my strongest weakness than the other subjects. In this paper I will discuss and analyze my own writing, reflecting on the ways that my writing has improved throughout the semester.

High school has been a very interesting experience for me. It has definitely had its highs and lows and many confusing experiences in between. Overall, I feel like I have been equipped for not only college, but also life as a whole. High school has taught me many things, both academically and emotionally. It has revealed and exposed my true colors, both good and bad, and as a result, has built many aspects of my character. My experiences at Alameda High school and Alameda Community Learning Center have shaped me into the person that I am today.
This class has been significantly more difficult than any other English class I have taken all throughout high school. This semester, I have been introduced to different styles of writing that I have never been exposed to before. This class has been stressful, but also fun. With using all of the resources I have been given throughout the semester, I have been able to do my best to further my writing abilities and hopefully only continue to grow them as I finish my later years in college. Throughout this essay, I will discuss my failures, my successes, my overall performance in the class, and my skill development skills.
Final Reflection Paper Intro to legal practice has been a really big eye opening class for me. I thought that I had gotten a good understanding of what a lawyer does day to day when I worked as a law clerk in undergraduate school. However, I learned that there is no day to day and that lawyers do a lot of different activities in the pursuit of helping their client. I also learned that it isn’t enough to just specialize in one area of law.
I believe that I deserve a B preferably an A because I believe that I did good this semester. As a junior this semester was very challenging for me. But I kept going with hard work and some dedication. One of my biggest struggles this semester was Math 170. Math has always been my downfall but I always try to get it. But this semester it just didn’t happen. But I can say that I did try, actually I tried really hard to get my work done. I also have a problem with procrastination, that’s something I really need to work on. If I didn’t learn anything this semester I learned that unasked questions don’t get answered. I feel as though I should have come to you more often for questions because I know that I didn’t understand the material. I learned my lesson and that will never happen again. Also, even though I didn’t get majority of it I still tried; I should get some credit for that. I took the first part of this final and got a 93, perhaps that could be my final grade right there. Despite taking 17 credits this semester, along with being a Resident Assistant, I have managed to complete all of the assignments for this class. Though I didn’t ace each and every assignment I did manage to complete or attempt them. So far I’ve had a lot of good grades in my other classes, and once again I can say Math 170 was the most challenging. I believe that I deserve a B preferably an A because I always try to do my best in everything in school, because school is important and my future depends on what I do now in school, and the grades I get are very important. In the end, my team and I got an A- for our presentation and paper. I believe that this project was completely successful and although there were some difficult times throughout the process, I am proud to say that we all stayed committed to the project. I feel that this was my most significant leadership experience because I used everything I learned through my experience in business organizations to make this project come to life. I felt that I showed the qualities of a good leader because I was determined, motivated, worked well with the team, delegated tasks to the team effectively, and communicated with the team to make this project
As I look back on the beginning of my journey to a better career and life I can remember the weeks and months leading up to the first day of class. I remember visiting the college and speaking with an advisor to decide exactly what it was I wanted to do, and the steps it would take for me to reach my goals. I recall talking with the advisor about the requirements for my General Education credits as well my need to take a preparatory class for algebra because I scored to low on the placement exam to be allowed to take the full college level math. Along with the preparatory math class my advisor told me that I needed to take “Foundations for College Success”, which I questioned. My advisor explained that the course would lay a solid foundation for me to build my college expectations and learning on by explaining what to expect from college as well as how to handle some of the out of the ordinary roadblocks that college life would undoubtedly throw my way. I remember thinking as probably most all new students do “I don’t need this” or “This is just a filler class, it can’t possibly show me anything I don’t already know”, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. As I near the end of my time in the Foundations for College Success course I can truly say I am glad I was required to take the course as it provided me with an invaluable wealth of knowledge that will help me throughout the rest of my journey.
