The toy that everyone is using, playing with, causing tons of debates, and bad injuries. That toy is called the fidget spinner and it’s been quite a problem to some people, but some other people disagree with that. Everyone’s using them, even adults and it’s not the best thing. Fidget spinners should be banned from schools because they’re distracting, kids like to trade them in class or on school grounds, and they’re getting thrown at other students which causes injuries.
One reason why they should be banned from schools is because some students are getting the toy from their friends or other peers when they don’t even need the toy, they just want it to play with and because other students have them. In the article Schools ban fidget toys as

classroom distraction (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-fidget-toys-school-ban-met-20170429-story.html) it says, “Feylo’s fourth-grade son had recently started asking for a fidget toy and brought home a homemade device given to him by a friend.” Feylo then says that she doesn’t want him to get in trouble by having it and that he doesn’t need it. That shows that if a kid does want one they’ll possibly ask their friends for one, but their parents don’t agree with them having it and don’t like the idea of it because they don’t need it. Another reason as to why they should not be allowed in schools is because they get thrown around in class or around other places in the school which can lead to some bad things.
If you were to throw a fidget spinner in the hallway or try tricks, it could end up going crazy, someone could push you and it could fly out of your hand, and it could end up hitting someone in the face with it which could seriously hurt them. Fidget spinners get even more dangerous along with that, as there’s plenty of other ways for kids to get hurt by them. According to the article Fidget spinners land on list of most dangerous toys for kids, (https://nypost.com/2017/06/21/fidget-spinners-land-on-list-of-most-dangerous-toys-for-kids/) children both from Texas have been taken to hospitals for choking on the toy’s pieces and one of them was even taken to the hospital for surgery. Although, choking seems to be a very common injury with fidget spinners, it’s not the only one that could require some sort of surgery. Good Housekeeping Article talks about how this mother had to go to the hospital because her three-year-old son had a piece of the spinner stuck in his middle finger and they had to use at least three tools before finally cutting it
off. The last reason fidget spinners should be banned is because they’re distracting. In Should Fidget Spinners Be Allowed at School (Scholastic October 2017) Principal Schwartz says, “And even if fidget spinners do help some kids focus, they can still be disruptive to others. Even quiet fidget spinners are visually distracting.” She then said, “Many teachers have told me that students tend to focus on all the spinning going on instead of the work at hand.” That shows that from what people say about the toy helping kids focus in school may not always be the case for some students because they’re getting more distracted by them instead of getting help from them.

In this day and age where school administrators consider backpacks, lockers, and baggy pants to be potential dangers to students and faculty, what will be next? Perhaps pencils, pens, scissors, and glue will be added to the list of items to ban from schools. These, along with other hazardous educational necessities pose real threats to maintaining an orderly school and should be prohibited.
Fidget Spinners are the new popular kids toy in homes across the nation. All of the kids want fidget spinners. Everyone is having fun spinning these for hours doing tricks and more. Unfortunately, fidget spinners can be terrible too. The toy was originally intended to help kids especially those with attention disorders focus, but it seems to do the opposite. In “Hooked on ‘Caramel-Colored Gold,” Melody Nelson claims “Despite the increased awareness of the benefits of good nutrition, we are a nation hooked on junk food, and many school administrators are taking advantage of the situation ” (par. 3). Nelson propose a ban on vending machines in schools because junk food is unhealthy for children, and they risk future health problems. I agree with Melody Nelson and believe that vending machines should be banned from school campuses, because they sell unhealthy food, they cause more money to schools for hiring extra custodians, and they are affecting children learning abilities.
Unless you live under a rock, you probably know what a fidget spinner is. The pure mention of a fidget spinner makes some overcome with nostalgia, and others shudder in dread of the era when fidget spinners had a chokehold on the world. So, recently, schools have been banishing fidget spinners from campus grounds. Schools banning fidget spinners is a perfectly fair and justifiable decision because they can be distracting, start fights, and potentially injure students. To begin with, fidget spinners can distract students and interfere with learning.
Playing with fidget spinners is fun until they become a distraction. Schools are starting to ban fidget spinners because kids don't pay attention to class and worry about playing, and staring at the fidget spinner. Many kids bought fidget spinners to play with them in school thinking it will help them focus in school. When they first get them they play with them they see how long they can spin them, as fast as they can. They bring them to school thinking they will just use them to spin, but in the end watch them as they spin.
Schools should not take fidget spinners away when people that have issues for focusing or anxiety need them. From the article chicago tribune it says, “they could help anyone, she said an outright ban could be counterproductive to kids who need them”. In school students may have issues and might need the spinners. They should not take fidget spinners away when all they're doing is helping many students focus and getting their work done. When you sit at a desk for a long period of time you can't just sit still but if you have a fidget spinner in your hand you can focus and get your work done and not get in trouble for being distracted.
