Yes you do have time to be alone after work when you're in the car or at home but by this point you're exhausted from work and you aren't going to want to think about work and how you can improve yourself and the company in your free time. In society we have been trained to believe leaders need to be charismatic and outgoing. Naturally that would be an extrovert. People now think introverts can't be good leaders because they're quiet, when they would actually be excellent leaders. Introverted leaders can let go and allow strong employees run with their own ideas and explore and mold their ideas by themselves without the boss needing to put their name on it. For an introverted person to want to step up into a more spotlight position they have to really love what they are doing so as they would make very dedicated leaders whose drive is their love for the business. Many nonviolent protest leaders were introverts. They made good cautious decisions on how to get there point across without it being chaos. Their introverted qualities of thinking thing through thoroughly and not wanting a big scene because they don't enjoy high key environments allowed them to come up with their nonviolent protest and carry them out successfully. Leaders like this would be great in a company too. They would take everyone's suggestions to consideration and think about each one's pros and cons thoroughly and then make a decision. Also, they would allow their employees to explore their own ideas and see what they can do for the company instead of taking over the project. In work and school extroverts thrive and stand out more so introverts think that is the only way to have success. Mark Dykeman had noticed for a while that he didn't enjoy huge social events as much as most people he knew. Later he realized it was because he is an introvert. Once he was working, he trained himself to act more extroverted in order to thrive more in the workplace. He started making himself speak his mind more and be more outgoing in the workplace. Even though about half the population is introverts In 1990 the Myers-Briggs personality test went through Europe and 92% of test takers said it was better to be an extrovert, because of how our society is set up in such an social heavy way. Half of the population shouldn't feel like they are wrong and that they need to change because being introverted isn't wrong, it comes with many amazing qualities just like being extroverted does but people don't look at the positives because we have been trained to see it as different and weird instead of
