I’m thankful for life because it’s the best gift you could ever get, life isn’t a joke it’s not something to play around with it’s something special it’s not a game that you just play then throw away like it’s nothing like that, people out there just like to use their life to make them sad and then just kill themselves when their done with being sad they shouldn’t just use their life for that they should try to make their self happy and if they can’t be happy by their self then they should talk to someone just not kill their self.
I’m thankful for sports because they help you get some energy out and to show people that you can do what they can no matter what type of person you are you can show people that you can do it even if you're fat or really skinny. Boys think that they're just better at sports but there are some

They are my best friends and I haven't had that many best friends before or friends for that matter, but they are the best people I could ever be in a squad with and I have never been in a squad before either so this is a first. They are the best I couldn’t ask for a better squad.
I’m thankful for my phone because I can keep in touch with my squad and family members but I don’t talk my family members that much because I have YouTube and a life to live other than talking to my family on the phone.
I’m thankful for my puppy because he’s the best puppy I could ever have he always makes me smile because he always hits it head on things. My puppy’s name is Charlie and he’s only 2 years old in dog years, he is half lab and half huskie they were gonna breed 2 labs together but the boy huskie got to the girl lab first. He doesn’t have different colored eyes but his eyes are still pretty. Charlie likes to jump up on my lap and put his paws on my shoulders and give me a hug. He’s a weird dog but I’m grateful to have
These are the squads I had wanted to make since 9th grade, so I felt excited to become a member of both finally.
To me the role of sports in society is for men and women of all ages to grow and develop and be responsible members of society and the community. Sports can bring a community together as long as it doesn 't become the religion of who we are as christians. It also gives us a different setting to interact with each other and learn from one another so we can become better as a whole. Coming together as a community and being able to learn and have fun is probably one of the most important aspects to me when it comes to sports. There should be no reason that parents have to get into arguments because of a call a referee makes in their child 's game. Also sports have become a bigger deal in society then just about fun and learning the sport. A great deal of it, at the higher level has so do with economics and social status’. Players with exceptional talent are now seen in commercials and have huge salaries to play sports or even at the college level earn scholarships to get into colleges for free. I mean hey, if your that good then good for you!
Sports really shape our society, and culture. You will not find very many people who do not have some love for at least one sport or another. There are so many sports out there that people love and will always watch the sport of their choice.
Playing a school sport enables you to bond with your teammates, making lifelong friends. Sports are fun and thrilling; they help kids get into shape. For years now there have been kids who play sports who also are very good in academics. Sports help kids get organized and teach them to balance their school work with sports. The article to start all the buzz about no sports in high school is written by
I’ve always been the type of person that truly enjoys athletics and have participated in nearly all sports offered to me. I started playing sports in elementary with club softball and basketball. As I entered my middle and high school years I was able to add the school sanctioned sports to my list of activities. This afforded me the opportunity of competing in volleyball, basketball, golf, track and softball. The camaraderie and life lessons of sports seemed invaluable to me.
Sports help them stay in shape because, the Aspen Institute, a nonprofit organization that does humanistic studies, said, “Exercise is one of the least expensive ways to stay healthy, with one study finding that exercise can prevent chronic diseases as effectively as medication,” (Aspen Institute). One of the many benefits of playing sports is that the children will build character. Building character is important because with character they will make new friends and develop different skills. Playing sports at a young age can build character in many ways, “Playing sports at a young age enables children to participate in social interactions and build skills such as teamwork, leadership, and responsibility as they learn to work with others to achieve a common goal,” (Aspen Institute).
Sports play a very important role in my life ever since I could walk. My interests in playing sports began at the age of three as my parents signed me up for soccer, flag football, basketball, and lacrosse. First grade started my competitive edge as I began to play for travel teams in various sport tournaments. This competitive edge transferred from the sports field to the classroom having teachers and coaches helping me be the best I can be. Sports have continually well-shaped and defined my character by teaching me how to accept a win from working hard, also how a loss is an opportunity to learn and fix mistakes.
I am one of an estimated 7.8 million students who play sports while attending high school (Koebler). I have been playing softball since 4th grade and before that, my father played baseball for the Sobieski Skis. He is an impressive athlete and taught me everything I know about being competitive. By coaching me, he has pushed me to a profuse number of successful achievements. Throughout my life, sports have been the greatest influence in teaching me an abundant amount of lessons, such as sportsmanship, commitment, and leadership.
At age four, I started my first sport, soccer. From the very first practice, I was simply hooked to the new responsibility to show up at practice every Tuesday and a game every Saturday for my new Blue Valley Recreation team. I had so much fun with my soon-to-be kindergarten classmates! As I grew, I joined more and more sports like softball and dance classes, and I would do anything to get outside and play some football or tag with my family. From the time I was four until now, my love for sports and exercise has only multiplied and multiplied. Apart from the love of playing, I feel I may have gained something more from playing sports all these years. Though I was not entirely certain as to what or why I benefited from playing sports so long, I knew I had some attributes that many other non-athletes did not.
To understand someone’s motivations, lifestyle choices, and beliefs one must understand the filter through which they see the world; the filter that people use to view the world is what is known as the person’s worldview. Worldviews expose what a person believes to be truth and how that affects the things that they care about. Every individual’s story is influenced by their worldview as to how they respond to certain events, what they are hoping to achieve in their lifetime, and what they hope for after death. It has been stated, “Every story is informed by a worldview.” (Godawa, 60).
Like the rest of the world, I cannot go a day without my phone. Try leaving your phone at home for a day and let me know how you feel. With the growing technology my phone is like my arms and legs. It is my must- have- can’t live without phone. It is my connection to the outside world. It is my connection to other people’s lives and theirs to connect with mine. The “cell phone” started out as a form of communication via calling and then it exploded with text messaging. Now it seems that most people would prefer texting then calling someone.
Humans are naturally competitive and through athletics this competitiveness can be released in a positive and focused way. Competition is a basic function of nature. Those that can best compete with their environment survive. Those who can’t compete die out. Competition is a powerful drive in all humans. We compete as groups, against our selves, and each other. Sports give us a channel to let this out in a safe way.
I am grateful for my life in many ways and for many reason, I was born 5 weeks premature and one of twins. Though my twin did not survive long enough for me to know him it gave me a purpose to try new things. Whenever I am scared of a new experience such as snow-boarding I think about how lucky I am to be alive and well. This thought helps me to spread my wings and embrace the unknown. Even simple things make me feel thankful, such as running in the rain or taking a walk with my dog or just a lazy Sunday afternoon with myself makes me think how great it is to be alive and here. I have always delight in the small moments in life and to think that they could never exist for me is depressing. Furthermore, being able to share my thoughts and feeling with people I love is something that brings me great joy.
When I started hanging out with Anthony I met Pancake first (her nickname is Patty or Pattycake). I was really scared of her when I first saw her because she was a big dog and all the pets we have at home are small so I wasn’t used to her size. She didn’t bark at me she just wanted to jump on me and always smell me. After awhile I would pet her more and more and then I wouldn’t mind her being all up on me. When you first look at her she looks kind of silly because her bottom teeth just stick out. I don’t know what kind of dog she is but I love the way her fur looks. Junior didn’t come along till later, Anthony’s mom bought junior from a friend and he is a smoky grey Pitbull. They got junior before they moved houses so he was still a baby. Now he is 5 months. A week ago he got out of the gate and he was lost for about two days but then we found him thankfully. Junior likes napping with Anthony’s mom, he loves eating fruit loops and he loves Pattycake. I love his fur color and how he is so tiny right now. I know he is going to get a little bigger and right now he is going through a teething stage which is cute but it has the yard tore up. Both of these dog are wonderful and I love that they are so sweet and playful. Even though they are not my dogs I still cherish
The benefits of sports range from physical, mental, and social. Exercise keeps people fit, develops healthy muscle tone, and reduces heart and lung problems (Oak, Manali). Sports studies have shown that “youth are motivated and engaged in ways that do not happen regularly in any other parts of their lives. Their experience of sports stands out from nearly all other activities, including socializing and schoolwork, in providing enjoyment where they are exerting concerted effort toward a goal” (Larson, Reed, and Sean Seepersad). People who play sports bond over a common interest. This opens up children to meeting new kids and socializing with many more. In Kindergarten, I played baseball. Even though I did not truly understand all the mechanics of the game, I met new friends and began to develop motor skills. This was very useful starting at an early age and pushed me to stay active throughout my life.
