Explain Why Fit In When You Were Born To Stand Out

‘Why fit in when you were born to stand out?’ are words once said by the great Dr. Seuss. It is our differences that makes us who we are, it is also those same differences that make us human. If everybody was the same life would be extremely bland and would have no true meaning. So as individuals we all basically live to be different. So I will go ahead and state that yes I am different in many ways. These differences are as follows: a high level of manners and discipline, strong work ethics and my personality.
Being raised in a Caribbean household, good manners and discipline were the first of few things that was taught to me. This was seen as the basis to raising a child in the right direction. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening are just a few things that come naturally due to the foundation of discipline and manners instilled in me. I believe this makes me different because people of other cultures do not participate in similar practices. For example people could pass you on the sidewalk without giving you a proper greeting. Such as good morning and good evening just to name a few.

It is said that nothing worth having comes easy.

If you do not work hard for something how do you expect to achieve it? The only way to do so is through strong work ethics. Dedication, being willing to cooperate with others and holding myself accountable for my work are just a few strong work ethics that I possess. Furthermore, through my dedication I am able to stay focused on what I want to achieve. I am willing to cooperate with others if that is what it takes .By holding myself accountable and taking full responsibility of my work I am able and will continue to be able to achieve success. So it is my belief that those work ethics make me

different.
As Karl Lagerfeld once said, ‘Personality begins where comparison ends.’ So it is firm understanding that personality plays a big role in how I am different. Some find my personality to be quite rare, unique and for the most part often unheard of. My personality can be described as follows: caring, optimistic, honest, compassionate, and industrious. I am also not one to give up on anything I do or participate in easily. Furthermore I am mannerly and can also be described as a positive role model for others. These are some traits not often seen in most people my age today which, I feel makes me exceptionally different from any average person.
If we were not all different the world would be neutral and bland, so therefore being different is a part of life. So it is for all the reasons stated above, I will go ahead and say that I am different. Personality, high level of manners and discipline, and my strong work ethics are those few things that I believe make me different and make me stand out from anybody else.
