C. Quality Service Standards In order to have quality service standards practiced inside a restaurant, an organization needs to make sure that the standards are clear to all employees. The best way to certify that employees will remember and follow these standards is to have an employee handbook that dictates standards and how to follow them. Burger has proven themselves to have a very successful hiring process. They offer a variety of jobs from bing a team member or manager, as well as positions in marketing, accounting, human resources, training, and recruiting. From our observations, we noticed that all of the employees have an energetic attitude. Eureka!’s strength lies in their multitude of opportunities that they give to their employees. Due to the variety of jobs offered, applicants can come from many different backgrounds as long as they have passion and expertise. Weakness 1 One weakness that Eureka! presented was that many of their employees were around the same age. All of the servers seemed to be in their twenties. This may be due to the location of this restaurant, however it was interesting to see a restaurant with so many employees all be around the same age. However, the online advertisement for jobs, could also be a reason for this matter. Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa was the first new casino resort in Atlanta, and it was to embark on a recruitment campaign to employ over 5,000 employees across many positions. Borgata wanted its staff to be passionate about the reason why they wanted to be employed at Borgata and that would ensure the company prospers in their new venture. To attract the quality personnel they need and to effectively manage the number of potential applications, Borgata needs to have various recruiting programs. By having more than one recruiting initiative they can ensure they maximize the effectiveness of attracting the right candidate and filter out the ones that do not come up to the standard they are looking for. Borgata needs to maintain and exemplify the hotel and fine dining service that Atlanta has come accustom to, so by attracting the fine chefs and hotel staff they can ensure the demands from the city are surpassed.
