In the present circumstances when there is a ferocious struggle in every area of life, efficiency of the teachers becomes very important to make powerful the students for facing the emerging challenges of global world. Efficient education is a balance brilliance quality of eminence education. An efficient teacher may be understood as one who helps in the development of basic skills. This paper describes the characteristics of an efficient teacher and what teachers need to know in this present age of excellence.

Teacher is considered to be the most important component of the educational pyramid in any teaching – learning situation. The American commission on teacher education remarked, “The quality of nation depends upon the quality of its citizens. The quality of education depends upon the quality of their teachers. It is no beautification to express that the whole educational process revolved around the teacher. In the entire teaching-learning process the teacher is a powerful manager who can say over and over the independent ideas of nationhood in children, the future citizens of the nation. The teacher is a dynamic strength of the school. A school without a teacher is just like a body without the soul, a skeleton without flesh and blood, a shadow without substance. The teacher teaches the student how to find the right way in his journey and from time to time, help redefine student's objective. The teacher's role in a student's journey is a central issue for a fruitful education. A teacher's methodology and the relationship between student and teacher greatly affect the content of education and its relevance to real life. A student's role is equally important in an effective teacher-student relationship. As a receiver of information and training, the student must respect and love the teacher and also have keen interest in the subject matter.

Teachers help us expand and open our mind by giving us skills throughout students’ early life to help students when they are older. By learning information from teachers, students become better people, in a couple of ways. Besides inquiring knowledge from their teachers, students learn to work with one another, open their mind to other peoples’ thoughts and ideas, respect one another, and learn different techniques for life’s issues.

Students have their own opinions and teachers do also. Students might dislike their teachers for the terrible grades they have and because the teacher wont let them do what they want. In my opinion, students should not be evaluated to grade teachers and whether they should be fired or not. As I start, students blame teachers for their wrong doings and there horrible grades and they would have a great teacher fired for no apparent reason. In addition, some students expect too much from teachers and how they teach.
Successful teachers develop the whole child by making integrated efforts to promote their student’s academic, social and emotional learning. Children need to be aware of themselves and others; make responsible decisions, and be ethical and respectful of the people around them.

Teachers are one of the most meaningful human beings. They are the reason this world is improving; however, it is crucial that the teachers teach the students to the best of their abilities. In order to achieve the ideal learning situation, I strongly believe that it is vital to have satisfactory teachers, extra curricular activities, and superior environment.
A friendly teacher, as the very term suggests, acts like a friend for his/her students. A teacher-friend, in fact, combines both the guidance of a teacher and the understanding of a friend. We all, at some point of time, aspire for an understanding teacher. Such a teacher acts like our friend, philosopher and guide.
One of the most effective ways teachers are able to manage a classroom is through developing positive relationships with students (Emmer & Evertson, 2013). When students feel they are valued and cared for by their teacher, they are much more likely to comply with rules and procedures. A classroom teacher has the great responsibility and privilege to be around students for up to seven hours per day, five days per week for around nine months and during that time, teachers must work to develop positive teacher-student relationships with each student (Boynton & Boynton, 2005). When students are able to experience healthy relationships with their teachers, they grow personally and are self-motivated and achieve academic success (Tassione & Inlay, 2014). There are a number of ways to enrich these relationships and they are all initiated by the teacher. While there are many ways teachers will find to develop teacher-student relationships, only a select number of them will be discussed here.
It is recognized that the teacher must be assured not only of competence, but leisure to add to his knowledge continually, for he is the best teacher who is always learning. The old conception of the teacher being left to himself, or to private patronage, or to the more vicious system in our country, viz., student’s fees, has been ruinous for education. Every teacher has their strong points as well as weak points. Teaching is very hard work and some of them never grow to be anything better than mediocre. They do the bare minimum and very little over and above the call of duty. There are several ways to become a great teacher. Teachers are truly dedicated workers who put a lot of time and schooling into being able to teach for the rest of their lives.
Being a teacher is not an easy task as many people could think. To be a teacher does not only imply to know the subject to be taught, it also includes being willing to constantly improve oneself integrally, as much as updating the resources and materials one uses in teaching. Reflecting and analyzing over and over again the best way to teach to learn and how to make students to extend what has been learned. The many hours spend in the classroom will never be enough to plan lessons, prepare materials, review pupils tasks and exams, as well, all the administrative requirements one has to cover for whatever institution we work. Besides all this a good teacher, a professional one, will have to find the time to keep preparing to improve oneself.
One good quality a teacher should have is, respect for the students. Each person’s ideas and opinions should be valued and not judged. They should be able to express themselves without feeling insecure. Another good quality is, having high expectations for your students. Each student should be encouraged to do their best and achieve goals that they may have never met before. Another good quality is, I believe a teacher should have is good communication skills. They should keep not only the students informed on what is going on in the class, they should definitely keep the parents informed as well. Teachers need to know how to communicate with all their students because some are at different levels than others.
When I was in high school, I had various teachers in every class, but my University prep teacher was special among all the teachers. She was genuinely dedicated to all the students in her class, and she never forsook the students who those needed help. She was supportive, passionate, amusing, and most importantly devoted to every student in her class. Currently there are numerous teachers having a mindset of just doing their job instead of being more valuable for students. Every teacher who makes the students feel special about them have high attributes. There are three main attributes of a great teacher, such as devotion to the students, eagerness to have a significant modification, and being inspirational.
