Students have their own opinions and teachers do also. Students might dislike their teachers for the terrible grades they have and because the teacher wont let them do what they want. In my opinion, students should not be evaluated to grade teachers and whether they should be fired or not. As I start, students blame teachers for their wrong doings and there horrible grades and they would have a great teacher fired for no apparent reason. In addition, some students expect too much from teachers and how they teach. However, if students did have a voice to decide whether a teacher should be fired or not, we would actually take this into consideration because we can actually speak about how we feel about the teachers that can barely teach and the teachers that are worthy of teaching.

Teachers rarely don't know how to teach. They would not be up to date, unorganized, and be forgetting the lesson plans they are teaching us. In my opinion, if high school students were mature enough to evaluate there teachers instead of thinking they are bad because of the grades they receive, we could have did that. Students should always be able to express how they feel with teachers and if they can't teach should be able to tell them. Also, if students are always having horrible grades as I read in the article, it must be something wrong with the teaching or the students are not paying attention which I highly recommend they are not. If students were really concerned with there teachers not being able to teach they would add attention but we should not put a teacher's life at risk especially if there an amazing teacher and a good
This problem goes much deeper than Prince George’s County, uncertified teacher are being allowed into the classroom all over the country and have been for the last couple of decades, mainly due to teacher shortages. By definition "a qualified teacher is expected to have a broad background of general education as well as professional preparation."(Teacher) it has never been considered satisfactory for a student to complete on 60% of material taught, why should it be different for teachers? In the early 1980s during a teacher shortage graduates of teacher education programs had lower levels of academic achievement than most college graduates and were still allowed to teach. In 1991-92, 16,000 teachers nationwide were uncertified. Currently, 37 of 39 states employ waivers, which allow failing teachers into classrooms.
Teachers themselves are often left to make the best of what little they have to work with. A narrow curriculum with little for scholars to decide themselves leaves them feeling like completing cookie-cutter worksheets is boring and pointless. Over time, students begin to hold educators with contempt and become disgusted by school and the tedious, rote labor that comes with it. With no enthusiasm, defeated students scores plummet and the faculty in turn can develop a bad attitude about students. The worst part is this combination produces a negative loop that often only spirals further downward.
Students and teachers are both stuck, and in order to have a successful school system we must have happy teacher. To bring exciting lesson plans and less bored students, we need happy teachers, in order to have happy teachers the government needs to allow teachers to teach how they
In my experience, the majority of my teachers were dedicated and caring people to their work. I previously thought that maybe I had gotten lucky with my instructors in which classes I participated in, or maybe I am a more open minded person than those who criticized our educators. Now I see that teachers are scapegoats for other complications outside of their control. Even if some are no longer of a higher caliber, a reason for the decline could be disheartening caused by their limited resources and general disrespect year after year. The government may not be willing to reverse past changes, but now the system whose purpose is to prepare the children of today to become the adults of tomorrow is being annexed by business behemoths striving for ever greater profits to fill their
The educational system must keep a certain number of children in schools at all costs. Sometimes the system is not concerned with the performance of the students as long as they are in school. If teachers graded the way they should, the failure rates would be much higher than they are today.
Bad teachers are still getting accepted to schools and that's not good. Instead of sending bad teachers to other schools you should just fire them those teachers are affecting students lives from accomplishing their goals.” teachers that just sit around still get full pay and get there vacations”- Waiting for Superman. There is a lot of good teachers that are doing their job, but still get paid the same amount of money as a teacher that just sits around and does nothing. I wish i can do something about this because this is not right i want students to get there full education.
In today’s America, the educational system has been blaming teachers for the failure of students. This pressure put on teachers causes a lot of unneeded stress and can even be demoralizing. Instructors are always trying to put the student’s
It is a teacher’s responsibility to properly prepare and educate their students. In some cases this can prove to be difficult for an educator. As a student, you may find that your teacher may not be giving you enough attention or specific one-on-one time. This is where student grading could come in handy. Many educators might fear negative feedback because they often do the best that they can with the abundance of responsibilities they already have; but others strongly believe that teachers shouldn’t be above criticism, and should ask their students for this constructive feedback on their performance. This could help improve the nation’s educational system if conducted properly. It would also help the students and the teachers to sort out their true priorities in the classroom. According to an article written by Atanu Kashyap Adhikari, he agrees and claims “They will now be concerned more about the comprehe...
All in all, teachers need to be viewed as professionals and not as simply pay babysitters because most do care about the students. Teachers tolerate the low wages, long hours and repetitive disrespect because they desired to place attention on student success. Teachers should not enter that career for the money, but for the devotion they will place on the students. Luckily there are ways to make teachers more valuable in society. Teachers should be given the right equipment to teach the subject that corresponds to them, the two-year skill evaluation should be more precise and by surprise, so no one knows. Also, students should be allowed to evaluate the teachers to provide feedback. Also, teachers should be aware of the surrounding cultures. In conclusion, teachers should motivate students to reach levels they themselves never thought they could attain.
A larger issue that has been going on is that kids haven’t been paying attention in school and have been thinking about what the would do after school. Also, when students get access to a computer or electronic at school, they just play games. The teacher doesn’t even monitor what they are doing and they do nothing about it even though they know it’s happening. School is a place for learning, not playing games.
The relationship between students and teachers should be one of mutual respect. Students should listen to the teacher and try their best in the class. Teachers, on the other hand need to do their best to give their students a quality education and respect them as individuals. There should be a set curriculum, but teachers need to be creative in how they teach what is required. California is considered one of the lowest in terms of education standards. In order for this to change, teachers and students both need to start working towards a solution.
What is a teacher? A teacher is someone who students rely on for further knowledge and comprehension. Often, a teacher is viewed as a role model towards their students. In many times, teachers can help guide students into a better future. Characteristics like preparation, compassion, having and showing respect to students can make a teacher more effective.
About 50% of the teachers in a recent study said that they have been accused of unfairly disciplining a student. This means lots of students have problems, but all they do is complain and it doesn’t get anyone’s attention. If the students graded the teachers I am sure the principal would
The Value of education helps advance our knowledge of the world we live in. Education is more the typical reading, writing, and math. An investment that can take you further into the future than you can ever think of. It is something that cannot be taken away from anyone and is a never ending chapter in everyone 's life. Education can change a person 's personal life, a community, and luckily a entire generation. It 's a beautiful gift given to us to change the world and understand how something works and where it came from. It is a personal journey, one takes to find who they are and who they want to become. Education awards us with life lessons we can use in our daily life. Plus without these life lessons are life would never be the same. In my opinion the importance of education is that you are able to get inspired by the things you read or from experiences that have been shared.
Finally, hire more qualified teachers; education is very important part of our lives, we should be careful of how we choose teachers. Many teachers are not qualified for teaching; in order for students to understand the subject the teacher had to teach it first. I have met many teachers love to teach, but I also I meet other teachers hate their jobs. Our part is to keep an eye on improving education. Training and retraining teachers to meet the needs, help teachers and students.
