This section of the appendix discuss about the various skills pursued by the author and the personal development that has happened over the duration of the Master in Business Administration course in Dublin Business School and the dissertation period. Furthermore, the author will discuss plans to sustain and extend this learning.

The author is an above average student who completed both her schooling and bachelor’s degree in India. Being an international student, the author was anxious to know how the educational system works in Ireland. The educational system in Ireland is different from India. This helped me to understand their culture, and analyze their way of thinking for different tasks.
• Working as a Team for various group works allowed me to organize individual work and manage time for finishing the task.
• Display leadership skills appreciated by the team members. This was a new experience, but being still in the learning stage, I need to have exposure to such team works.
• Improve my time management skills. Be it getting to the bus stop 5 minutes back to go to college, or getting inside the class on time or logging into the library account to renew books, time is forever an important factor and as I said “time and tide waits for none” is a big lesson that DBS has taught me.
• Staying away from home and its nurture, I have now learnt to be responsible and independent.
• Open Mindedness in terms of listening to all views and opinions of people before coming to a conclusion of myself.
• Reading complex texts from library was a difficult but enjoyable task, Being new to the entire Masters course I solely depend on library for any need, and understanding them do take a while.

This paper aims to highlight an incident in theatre where environmental pressure has the tendency to lead to human error thereby compromising the patient’s safety. To reflect and critically analyse the situation, human factors, theories, guidelines and national policies that govern a theatre environment so as to improve the practice, raise awareness and prevent adverse event thereby improving patient safety in theatres.
During the course of the quarter, I feel that I have progressed somewhat. I've gained a lot of knowledge on rhetorical strategies and how to present arguments effectively. In the writings I have written, I feel that each writing works towards meeting the course goals. Logos, ethos, and pathos were strategies and ideas we were introduced to (if not already in the past) and were built upon throughout the quarter. The knowledge gained over the course of the quarter weren't only those three types of appeals. Rhetorical strategies like proposals helped reinforce the course and using rhetorical analysis in different situations have become easier throughout the quarter. I believe that I have made sufficient progress towards becoming a better writer this way.

The importance of cognitive reflection on both a personal and managerial level has grown in relevance in recent times linked to new concerns surrounding its direct effect on the way in which decisions are made. Self-reflection is defined as meditation or thought put towards your own goals or motives. To self-reflect, you must be willing to take time for yourself, even if you do not think you have time. Everyone has a lot on their plate, but even if it seems as if the world is crumbling around you, taking time to be selfish every now and again is crucial. Setting a goal for yourself cannot be done unless you have a willingness to understand your own personal nature, essence, and purpose. It may seem hard at times, especially if you are a selfless individual, but it is important to remember your place and what you are trying to achieve. In order to do so it is necessary to understand Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.
To start off on the right path, the team must understand what they are working towards. They must be committed to work hard in order to accomplish their goals. Each member should have expectations from everyone and themselves as part of the team.
Open-mindedness is the ability to be critically receptive to other people’s point of views and thoughts. You must be able to open your mind to see past what conclusion you have already formed and be willing to think of other possibilities being possible. Open-mindedness is very important when approaching problems because if you don’t feel that what anyone or anything else is possible then you are constricting so many possibilities and facts in life therefor not allowing yourself to learn and grow. An example of someone who failed in having the attribute of open-mindedness I use my husband. When moving to Texas for his Military relocation, I suggested we purchase a house but he said no because he did not want to own a home in Texas. Without him being open-minded he missed that facts about the growing market and the expansion of the city we live in. Due to him not being open-minded we lost out on a financial gain.
Teamwork is becoming more important in the work place, because of the leaders and the fact that it allows full participation with all employees. In order to complete several different tasks, managers and supervisors usually perform teams and assign different tasks to complete one major assignment. Team work starts at the top (Smikle, 2009). When supervisors or managers are willing to administer teamwork, they are enabling the employees to follow. Managers or supervisors set good examples when they delegate tasks, but more importantly express to the employees how teamwork is productive. Employees work by example, more so now than by demands.
