The site nicknames this personality “The executive” and lists a few famous persons with that type, such as John D. Rockefeller, James Monroe, and Lyndon B. Johnson. Many of the activities I choose to take part in reflect this leader-type personality, such as 4-H, elections at Co-op, and something. I see the turbulent modifier as well, as life does stress me out. One of the main traits mentioned for the personality type ESTJ is the quality of being direct and honest. I would consider myself an honest person, and i enjoy being direct when I can. An example of this in my life is when my friends ask me for an honest opinion, I will give it to them. Recently a friend asked me my opinion on decision they were about to make. I
Overall, the INTJ type is an accurate description of my personality. I concur with the assessments that INTJ’s do not “take criticism personally” and they are not “afraid of hard work, and will put forth a great deal of effort towards something that they are interested in” (INTJ Personal Growth, 2014). I am confident in my own abilities and take no offense at work if others are able to show me a better/easier way of performing a task (as long I am approached professionally). Additionally, I am usually whole-heartedly committed toward efforts when I see the importance or benefit from such actions. For example, if I need to put in a few 15-16 hours days to ensure the job is done on-time and correctly I will do so without much thought. My temperament of “NT” also known as the “Rationals” is consistent with what I see in myself (The Four Temperaments, 2014). As stated in the Thinking section however, I do have a tendency to show empathy towards others when faced with an emotional
Earth is populated by billions of people – one person different from the next. While physical traits like fingerprints and DNA give people their individual identity, there is more to identity than physical traits. The experience of tragedy and joy also plays a critical role in giving people their individual identity. Personality is the other factor that separates one person from others, and the personality of an individual depends heavily on his or her beliefs, culture, and the environment in which he or she is raised. There are several different types of personality tests that one can take to identify certain traits of his or her identity, and one of them is the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). According to MBTI and my life experience, as an ISTP I possess an inquisitive mind, an adventuresome spirit, and a desire to be active.
My personality score was an ENFP, I thought of myself more as an ESTJ. According to the Jungian 16 – Type Personality test, I am an Extrovert, Intuitive, Feeler, and Perceiver. I am also learned that I do in fact have a Type –A personality scoring a 111, meaning that I prefer to work alone rather on teams, and prefer a routine. I scored very high on job satisfaction, which was right on the mark, I love being a United States Marine.

Taking a personality test is something that I have had to do a few times. First in college while going for my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, then while attending Airman Leadership School, and finally for this class. Taking these test all three times I have received similar if not the same results so I think that I have answered these truthful each time. In terms of my personality result, INFJ, I agree with many of the traits that are unique to this personality type. Comments such as being an introverted extrovert made me realize how dead on my Myers-Briggs personality result was. I have always been an introvert my entire life and have cared for the feelings of others. Seeing how certain traits seemed to shine through in my Myers-Briggs personality description added a great deal of credibility to the test. I have always been called a perfectionist and overachiever, but never knew how those traits correlated to me being exhausted in certain situations. My personality result was able to show how my drive to improve was also a reason why I am constantly frustrated in times of difficulty. My personality result will be a major tool in achieving success in
Personality takes many shapes and forms and is affected by many factors. My understanding of personality is simply a genetic and environmentally determined set of psychological traits that influence our reactions in the world around us. Genetic because our parents possess a certain set of psychological personality traits that we tend to have in common with them so therefore in my opinion there are heritable personality traits. Personality is environmental because we each have our own separate experiences in the world and these experiences help form our unique personality. Neo-Freudians such as Jung have given us a wide array of ideas of how they believe personality is developed and formatted. Jung in particular has a very interesting
