Don’t tread on me. Four simple words. Those four words helped build the strongest country in the world. The land of the free did not rise to the top easily, it took blood sweat and tears. Millions of lives were lost in the process. America would not be the world police if we did not have the strongest military. America’s military is a spear. It has many parts, from the handle to the tip. Without the whole spear, it could not kill. But what part of the spear goes in for the kill first? The tip. The tip of the spear is represented by America’s Navy Seals.
A Navy Seal is one of the most physically, and mentally demanding jobs there is. These soldiers belong to the Navy Special Warfare Command. That means that they are trained on air, land, and sea. These Seals are the

elite group form the strongest country in the world. They are ready at a moment’s notice to leave their home and cover anywhere on the planet for special operations. They are trained to handle all types of conditions, so that they must be able to survive anywhere. Navy Seals take out threats, not only to America, but also to other countries in need of assistance. Seals also teach other countries how to deal with terrorist threats and attacks. Most of the missions are top secret, and government issued. When they aren’t on special operations, they are training for special operations. Their job is to stop terrorists before they attack. This is not an easy job. Navy Seals must be prepared to face danger, for they will see it regularly. Not only are the physical demands extremely high, but so are the mental demands. They work as a team, a small-unit with each person having a very specific job. There is a leader, and this leader must be strong. The Seals are recommended and then hand-picked. A Seal must be very skilled in all elements required. Being the strongest soldiers from the strongest country in the world is not an easy cut to make. A Navy Seal makes about $60,000 yearly. This does not include health care and insurance. It is possible to earn repayment of collage loans. They will receive extra pay for diving, parachuting, and demolition. Navy seals get 30 paid vacation days per year, and medical and dental benefits. If you are injured in the line of duty, they will typically cover all medical costs. After 20 years, you will be awarded retirement money, but if you choose and are capable, you are allowed to serve longer. Seals are awarded tax free pay in all combat zones, and living and housing allowances on base. Navy Seals also have access to military facilities. The demand for this job is rising at a 10% average. The job outlook is high, because in war times we need more and more fighters every day. With more terrorist threats and acts, more Navy Seals are being trained every day. This job is one of the most important jobs to keeping not only American citizens safe, but also the world. With the government in so much debt, the pay may drop some in years to come, as will the rest of the military pay. Inevitably, this could impact the numbers of those who would like to join the Navy Special Warfare Command, but the job will be just as important. The education to become a Navy Seal has many parts.
They would like you to attend four years of high school and have a bachelor’s degree. They will most likely pay off your student loans, and maybe even put you through collage and wait for you to have your degree before they fully train you to become elite. Becoming elite is not all taught, some of it has to come natural. Training to be a Navy Seal is one of the most demanding jobs in the country. You must excel at standard military training before you are trained to become a Navy Seal. Trainers use a method called muscle confusion to avoid injury. This means you train in a different way each day. There is no repetition. Each day you train hard. If a Seal is on active duty, they will live on base in order to be closer to all of the training facilities. They are trained in all elements, including air, water and land. They must be prepared to live in harsh conditions. This may include; arctic climate, jungle climate, dessert climate, and grassland climates. Navy Seals are the very people that our enemies want dead, the biggest threat to terrorism. Navy Seals are trained extremely intensely to ensure they are nearly impossible to target and
eliminate. One advantage to being a Navy Seal is you have top secret information. You are privileged enough to help make decisions that will affect the safety of your country. To some this may seem like a lot of pressure, but to others this is an amazing opportunity to shine. A Navy Seal wants what is best for their country, and are willing to risk their life to make it happen. That is a second advantage to being a Navy Seal. You get to fight for your country, and the great people in it. You represent the American military. To some, that holds no value. But, to others, that is the greatest privilege one could imagine. A disadvantage to this job is that you will not settle. You are always prepared to leave your home and all the important people in your live to go around the world and be in extremely dangerous situations. You will never have a routine, not even in training. This job is extremely diverse. Another disadvantage is being in danger all of time you are working. This is a sacrifice a Navy Seal must make, however. Dangeriers comes with being in the line of duty. Of course the enemy wants to take out the strong point of our fighters, and that just happens to be the members of the elite special operations teams. Becoming a Navy Seal is not by any means easy. The responsibilities are great, as is the danger. Navy Seals are born to do what they do. A Navy Seal rises to the top naturally, and stays there with the best training offered. The strongest soldiers from the strongest country in the world are who are protecting this great country. Though spending a life in danger and training, many dream of living this job. Being elite. No part is more important than the tip of the spear, Navy Seals.
Personal Response-I thought the book I am a Seal Team Six Warrior by Howard Wasdin was very good and intense. The book was about a Seal Team Six Warrior named Howard Wasdin. It told how courageous Howard Wasdin had to be to survive being a Navy Seal.
I Am a SEAL Team Six Warrior is an emotional tale of how Howard Wasdin dealt with an abusive stepfather, a terrible unforgiving poor upbringing to overcome and to live his dream and enter the dangerous world of the United States Navy SEALS and Wasdin and Stephen Templin takes us through Wasdin’s childhood, military life and how he was Special Forces snipers. The book, I Am A Seal Team Six Warrior, written by Howard E Wasdin and Stephen Templin. given the honors of becoming a SEAL.
I think everyone has wanted to be a Navy SEAL in one point of their life, but as they get older their dream of being the best of the best fades away. Marcus Luttrell has had that dream of being a SEAL since the age of seven, and his determination and will to survive the hardest training in military history, gave Luttrell the title of a Navy SEAL.
When Marcus was 14, he really got interested in the navy seals. He started training with ex-army soldier Billy Shelton. He made this training brutal. In this training Marcus and a couple of other teenage boys who wanted to be a Navy Seal would have to carry cinder blocks while they ran a half marathon. Then once they finished running the half marathon, they would have to do hundreds of pushups and situps.
According to Nofi, “The United States Marine Corps is America's best-known military unit and perhaps the most famous in the world” . The traditions of the Marine Corps date way back since 1775 and the current regulations have been derived from the way marines in the past carried out their day to day activities. Some customs have been incorporated into the current orders and regulations to be able to standardize conduct of the marines. It is important for a marine to know and keep in mind traditional customs because one should never forget their heritage, therefore, practiced tradition in the Marine Corps should take precedence over Marine Corps orders and regulations .
Have you ever wondered how a Navy SEAL trains for a mission, let alone complete one? How does a man qualify to become a Navy SEAL? Navy SEALs are well known, but their training and missions are classified information to the general public. The Navy SEALs are the world’s deadliest commandos and can serve their country anywhere, completing missions around the globe.
Physical training where is especially challenging because we had members of seal team four training with us to get there’s they had just graduated from there SEAL school and could run five minute miles all day and night even though I was in good shape is still kick my butt. The normal pace for running at any Army school is a 6 ½ minute mile.
From Sea, Air, and Land, the U.S. Navy Seal Teams are the most feared and respected commando forces in the U.S military if not the world. The Seal Teams are the most elite and highly trained forces on the face of the earth. President John F. Kennedy formed the teams in 1962 as a seagoing counterpart to the U.S Army Special Forces.
“When the navy sends their elite, they send the SEALs. When SEALs send their elite, they send SEAL Team Six, the navy's equivalent to the army's Delta Force --- tasked with counterterrorism and counterinsurgency, occasionally working with the CIA. This is the first time a SEAL Team Six sniper's story has been exposed. My story” (3). This captivating quote starts off Seal Team Six, a timely memoir about former Navy SEAL Sniper Howard E. Wasdin. The first paragraph starts his story and how he grew up to be one of the top snipers in the world. Although this is an amazing memoir, nothing is perfect. The first half of the book has the reader glued to the pages learning about Wasdin's life, but towards the end of the memoir the stories tend to get repetitive.

I am a Seal Team Six Warrior by Howard E. Wasdin is a novel about the struggling and victories of Howard Wasdin in the U.S. Navy. As he was growing up in West Palm Beach, Florida, Wasdin, starting at age four, did not have an easy life at home due to his mother’s boyfriend Leon. Leon abused Howard whenever his mother was not around. These beatings were significant to the future Navy role Wasdin would compete to get. Before going to boot camp in Orlando, where he invested the last of his money, Howard married Laura. On his 21 birthday, Wasdin was a recruit for the navy. He went through training such as Intensive Training, Search and Rescue School, SEAL Training, and Phase training such as Hell Week. Wasdin became a SEAL Team Two Member. Soon
