This paper describes the two words of the emotional intelligence as well as explains the term as a whole. It also explains about the three different models which are Ability model, Trait model and the mixed model. It points out the main differences between them and explains about the behavior iceberg. The paper discusses ways of expressing and appraising of emotions in oneself and the others to interact and built their social intelligence, regulation of emotions in their professional and personal life without interfering with one another. Using this emotional intelligence strength one can upgrade other weak skills.

Emotional Intelligence (EI) is having the potential to monitor one’s own or other people’s feelings, to differentiate between and label them appropriately and use the information to guide thinking and behavior. Emotions typically arise in response to an event that has a positive or negative meaning for the individual. We can distinguish emotions from a closely related concept of mood where emotions are shorter and more intense. Emotional intelligence helps in learning the response of emotions. They are adaptive and can lead to the alteration of personal and professional interaction into an enriching experience. Salovey, P., & Mayer, J. (n.d.).
