Early Life
Bill Gates was born on October 28, 1955 . He and his two sisters grew up in Seattle. His father, William H. Gates II , is a Seattle attorney . Mary Gates, his mother was a school teacher , regent of the University of Washington and chairwoman of United Way International.
Gates attended public school before going to Lakeside School , a private school north of Seattle. Bill was there that he began his career as a programmer at age 13 . He had a troubled childhood , but in an interview published in Playboy magazine , recognized a year and a half have gone to a psychiatrist. They married on January 1, 1993 in a secret location in Hawaii, he wanted no reporter hiciese photos , so he rented to full all hotels on the island . His wife's name is Melinda French, who had been working for some years in Microsoft , as software marketing manager , where he continues to work today . They have a daughter named Jennifer Bellamy Gates, who was born on April 26, 199
First steps in the Informatic
In 1968 , Lakeside ( school ) bought an ASR -33 teletype immediately by Bill and his friend Paul Allen became interested computer. The idea first programming language to develop reading them came an article in Popular Electronics magazine on the Altair 8800 minicomputer .
The language called BASIC Gates and Paul and believed they could make money selling it to BASIC with other machines. Then Microsoft Partnership created and started selling it. In the next four years they created other programming languages such as Cobol and Fortran. After this , they were powerful enough to open a new division in your company, and to win his first court battle against MITS Altair inventor on the ownership of rights .
