In modern society, it is hard to come across an individual that is truly a Renaissance man. Not many people are able to encompass all of the traits that come together to make this well rounded person. Bill Gates, on the other hand, possesses the traits that are present in a Renaissance man. He is honorable, smart, confident, proficient, intelligent, humble, knowledgeable, kind, generous, socially inclined, affable, respectful, athletic, and a writer. All of these traits make him the jack of all trades that a Renaissance man is supposed to be.
Throughout all of the work Bill Gates has done in his life, he is able to have the traits of a Renaissance man. Bill was one of the founders of Microsoft, a computer software company. This makes him
smart, intelligent, and knowledgeable, as these traits are needed to be able to create such a successful computer program. This also makes him proficient, or an expert, in his field. Through this success, he became the richest man in the world. Instead of being greedy and selfish with his money, he donates large sums of it to those in need. This makes him honorable, kind, generous, and respectful. This also makes him humble, as he doesn't flaunt his fame or fortune, and instead uses it for the greater good of the world. Since he is a powerful business man, he has to know how talk to people. This means that he is socially inclined, confident, lucid, and affable. He is also athletic, as he has said in interviews that he enjoys sports, such as golf and tennis. He has also written many books, making him a writer. All of these traits come together to make Bill Gates a modern day Renaissance man.

The global leader I have selected has so many qualities that words are not enough to describe his success and his effect in the way we live and see life. His name is William Henry Gate III or as we all know him as Bill Gates. William Henry Gate III was born in Seattle on 1955 and was raised in a wealthy family. His father was a successful attorney and his mother was a top executive at a national bank. This upbringing gave him the opportunity to study in the most prestige school on his state where he discovered his love for computers.
