Dance is a form of art that uses the body, space, time and energy to convey images of well thought out performances. There is no specific style or look for dance. Dance can simple be standing in one spot or running rapidly around in a wide space. There is no set of rules or regulations for dance. The dance that most interest me is fast rapid dance. My definition of rapid fast dance means jumping around and moving hips, arms, and legs to portray a wild yet calm performance. I like more chaotic dances with a lot of action because I feel like it is more eye boggling then something with little to no action. I enjoy dance performances with a lot of energy and movement along a stage. I don’t necessarily see the dance I like needing to be on stage, I can see my dance anywhere; like parties, on stage or in public. I also prefer big groups of people of about fifteen to thirty people all in sync. When I used the terms chaotic but calm I was referring to the dance …show more content…

This performance was a ballet performance that told a story. After watching the fifty minute video I was still a little unclear about the main message of the story. I did however enjoy the performance. According to the Huffington Post, “there 's more to crafting a memorable dance than stringing moves together to a matching beat.” I felt like this quote was interesting because it captured the whole meaning of the dance. It does take more than just stringing moves movements with a beat. In my dance interest I enjoy fast beat big group performances with leaders. This performance showed that. At eighteen minutes there was a group routine in which all the dancers were moving in a circle throwing apples around with a fast moving tempo and kicking around. There was also a clear image of the main dancer who then performed a solo piece in the middle of the group
