Has there ever been a day where you just couldn’t stand coming to school? Not for me, I cannot wait until school starts Monday morning. Worland High School has to be hands down the best high school in the state. I cannot imagine going to school somewhere else. I don’t even want to go of to college because I love my high school so much. Everything about it is great. For example, the teachers are amazing and the school policies are marvelous. I couldn’t ask for a better school system. All the kids at Worland High School also love the teachers and policies. It is clear that the students live by all the rules. My favorite things about WHS is the teachers, the bathroom break policy and the orange pass policy.

I have been in this school since kindergarden. I have been here long enough to see our school win the state title for football and I”ve also seen our school locked down. In J.D. Salinger’s Catcher in the Rye, the main character Holden Caufield believes that innocence is corrupted by society. He exposes his self-inflicted emotional struggles as he is reminiscing the past. For Holden, teenage adolescence is a complicated time for him, his teenage mentality in allows him to transition from the teenage era to the reality of an adult in the real world. As he is struggling to find his own meaning of life, he cares less about others and worries about how he can be a hero not only to himself but also to the innocent youth. As Holden is grasping the idea of growing up, he sets his priorities of where he belongs and how to establish it. As he talks about how ‘phony’ the outside world is, he has specific recollections that signify importance to his life and he uses these time and time again because these memories are ones that he wont ever let go of. The death of his younger brother Allie has had a major impact on him emotionally and mentally. The freedom of the ducks in Central Park symbolize his ‘get away’ from reality into his own world. His ideology of letting kids grow up and breaking the chain loose to discover for themselves portrays the carrousel and the gold ring. These are three major moments that will be explored to understand the life of Holden Caufield and his significant personal encounters as he transitions from adolescence into manhood.

Growing is always hard. Things become more challenging and you are left with a bundle of responsibilities. High school made me change to be ready for encounters with other people and for when I go to college in the future.
many people personally told me that people change for the better or the worse during high school, but i never believed it was true. looking back on my high school years i noticed that what they said was actually accurate. it all seemed strange to me at first because i 'm not the type of person who lies and manipulates others to become someone 's friend. but within those four years i became aware of how quickly people can switch up and change. like how the person i thought i knew acting completely different. but many others were, so i realized that my biggest mistake in high school was letting friendship change my actions and get to me.
Writing doesn’t come easily to me, which must make me a glutton for punishment. It has taken me years of training, learning to structure an essay and unlearning to begin again. Only since attending HSU am I realizing how exceptional my writing has become. Over the course of two semesters, I have seen my writing expand and grow. While I still adhere to the training I received in high school, I am excited to now take these tools and develop my own unique style in the years to come.
When moving through the hallways, the teachers, aides and staff were all very friendly and helpful, making sure that I not only belonged to be there, but that I was able to find my way to the appropriate locations. Art lined the halls, and the sounds from the classrooms indicated that the children were exicited and engaged in their activies. I would feel most comfortable having children attend this school. It was a warm, safe and nurturing environment, where the individual was celebrated, and the community created.

“Beep, Beep, Beep!” It was six o’clock in the morning and my alarm clock woke me up 4to prepare for the first day of my Senior Year. I slowly arose from my deep sleep and strolled toward my closet as if I were a snail. After twenty minutes of contemplating heavily, I finally reached a decision on my outfit. My outfit consisted of a navy blue and light brown elephant print kimono, a pure white blouse, light brown flats, and a silver triangle shaped Aztec necklace. To my surprise the clock struck a quarter to seven, leaving me only moments left to get ready. I jumped into the shower and then prepared for the day I had ahead of me.
Time flies so fast. Looking back, my high school is just like a movie, a lot of things happened. High School is four years of growing up and probably a time in your life where you go through the most changes. In high school you are able to discover yourself and find out who you are as a person. Each year is special and unique in their own way. My journey through high school was a tough one, especially because I decided to not only focus on academic work but also to invest quality time in extra curriculum activities. I wanted more than just academic excellence; I wanted to be a leader, I wanted to add value to every aspect of my life, I wanted a rounded education and not just mere schooling. Hi, my name is Rob Geis and I am currently in grade 12. I have been at County High School for a year now; I joined at the start of 11th grade, and have thoroughly enjoyed myself here. The school is great, the people are fantastic and the atmosphere is one that makes you actually want to go to school. Before I joined ASB I was studying at the Singapore American School for two years and prior to that I was at the International School of Kuala Lumpur for two years. I was born and raised here in Bombay city and grew up here.
“RING RING RARING RING RARING” I squinted my eyes and quickly hit the snooze on the alarm. “WAKE UP ALREADY!” My mother yells at me. I bursted out of bed and quickly grabbed my freshly ironed outfit that I got ready the night before. “Hurry get ready, I’m making you breakfast” my mother insists.
With the proper guidance and support, teachers can achieve academic excellence in the classroom. They follow their principal’s vision and share their goals. Teachers also serve as leaders in their classroom. They share their vision and goals with their students promoting positive attitudes in the classroom. Just like it is important for principals to respect and understand what their teachers need, students also need the support, understanding, respect and empathy from their teachers. When teachers demonstrate commitment in the classroom and set high expectations they raise the level of learning in the classroom. Teachers that work with the students and their parents to understand and meet their needs will achieve positive academic outcomes. When I was in my adolescences I did an immense amount of changing and growing. During this period in my life many things changed, such as, my appearance, body, feelings, friends, and my self-confidence. I was forming myself through the experiences I had. I made many choices in my adolescences that shaped me into who I am today.
