Mystic Grill: Where Country Meets Classy Mystic Grill is in the small country town of Covington GA at 1116 Clark St. SW. It was a rainy and dreary Tuesday afternoon when I pulled into the square of Covington to eat at this local hot spot. Upon my arrival, I was able to find a parking place on the square adjacent to Mystic Grill. As I walked up to the restaurant I noticed that it had a leafy green paint job and a wonderful location for business. Upon entering this cute and cozy restaurant I noticed the atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. Little did I know upon entering this establishment I was about to feel like I was at a place of fine dining. Though I was expecting a quaint country restaurant I was met with the delicate atmosphere of a fine dining establishment with a homely feel. As I was greeted by a nice hostess dressed impeccably in black trousers and a blouse, I noticed there was abundant seating in assorted styles. There was a full-service bar, booths, high-top tables, and smaller longer tables for larger parties. There were flat screen televisions hanging on the wall above the bar and a large fireplace in the entry area. Light popular music was playing softly in the …show more content…
However, the pricing of the food seemed modest with prices ranging from 5 to 20 dollars per entree for lunch. I also noticed that there were quite a few options and my server Beth made some wonderful suggestions. I chose to go with a meal called the half and half which was 9 dollars. In the meal, you get a choice of a soup and sandwich, soup and salad, or a salad and a sandwich. I chose the salad and sandwich. My salad was the Mystic Salad which consisted of mixed greens, goat cheese, candied pecans, red onions, and a pecan vinaigrette. The sandwich I chose was the turkey club. This included roasted turkey, smoked ham, bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and honey
Applebee's meals are reasonably priced. They have a deal called ‘two for twenty’. In this, there are two entrees and an appetizer. This is a popular selection. These entrees are complimented with a variety of appetizers available like, wings, cheese, salad, quesadillas and more. In compliment to the meal, a variety of beverages such as, soda, tea and alcohol are listed on the menu.
Hortense’s expectation of her lifestyle was also drastically different to the harsh reality. She expects ‘a dining table in a dining room set with four chairs. A starched tablecloth embroidered with bows. Armchairs placed around the sitting room placed around a small fire.’ Her expectations of the dining table suggests her ...
The most common is called the box combo, it is served with four chicken tenders, crinkle cut fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, canes sauce and a twenty-one ounce drink. It is valued at $6.79. You can substitute the sides and get more of one of the sides. For example I order the box combo with no coleslaw, and get extra Texas toast.
The tea looked so delightful, but I just never got accustomed to it here. These guests must not have been used to wine as some looked like swaying palm trees but they looked happy. “I once attended a wedding and met a young fellow sort of like you,” where was he going with this, “he had a good life but died young, I could see that something deep inside of him was bothering him.” I told him “No, my love's too strong for Fatima and I must pursue my wedding.” Then I told him“Thank you for that advice but please, don't speak of this again, he said “Ok, congratulations on the marriage, I wish the best of luck to you.”
... I had never even seen most of the food displayed, I eagerly and respectfully tried each dish. After everyone in the room sat down at the massive table, the Rabbi picked up a glass of wine and made a prayer over it. Then, Rabbi Kanelsky passed around pieces of Challah bread to the entire table. This lunch festival was yet another ceremony dedicated to one of the member’s deceased relative. At the conclusion, the Rabbi said another prayer out loud for the deceased and the relative expressed his gratitude to everyone.

There were people with faces that showed how that they were clueless on what to eat but when they saw people of the same culture through their dressing, they had the expression of happiness written all over them. It felt like they had found a sense of home just by discovering their culture food and those of the same culture. They immediately got their food and went to sit in the section where their culture was present. Women and Men in official clothing chose to dine at the Chinese and Italian section probably because the stand was of a more decorous setting than the other
A restaurant’s success is often dependent on its location. Restaurant’s that are located near other restaurants can enough synergistic benefits due to their location (Parsa, Self, Njite, & King, 2005). However, choosing the wrong location can also spell certain doom for the establishment. In general, restauranteurs must ensure that they are making enough profit to justify the demands put forth by their landlord and the local government. For this reason, the restaurant’s deed or rental agreement is one of the most important document in determining a restaurant’s fate. This paper seeks to examine the issues associated with leasing restaurant property; in particular Harlequin and Brine, an upscale casual restaurant.
There are thousands of different restaurants around the globe where people can either wait five minutes for their lunch in a drive-thru lane but pay for rude service and processed food, and some where formal attire is required and food and beverages are so expensive they break the bank. But what if there was a restaurant that offered both? A restaurant where service is top-of- the-line, food is warm and fresh, and the setting is elegant but inexpensive? A restaurant like this is not easy to find but thankfully, it does exist. The highly popular and many-favorited Italian restaurant, Olive Garden is the place to be. Opened on December 13th, 1982, in Orlando, Florida, Olive Garden quickly became the fastest-growing Italian-themed restaurant in
As I entered the pub, I noticed business was usual, that is, both the dinner side and bar side were at capacity. I quickly walked pass the waitresses and entered the bar area, which was completely packed. There were people eating dinner, watching sports, playing on the billiard table, and of course, sitting at and around the bar drinking and laughing. I walked around the bar trying to locate a table for myself, but they were all occupied. I stood there for a minute or so regretting my decision to conduct observations at the Pub at the beginning of a weekend. Finally, after a short awkward wait, a table opened up in the corner of the bar, so I rushed over and got a seat.
“I’ve been here for ten minutes and my server hasn’t taken my order yet!” This is a direct quote from me before I worked at a restaurant. I never looked to see how many tables my server actually had or how much running I made them do. The sad truth is most people do not notice these details either, which may affect the tip their server will receive. By looking at the attitude and maintenance of restaurant customers, you can classify them into three categories according to their tipping patterns: the “hmm…how good were they? tippers,” “the “stick-to-the-fifteen-percent tippers,” and the “I-am-or-once-was-a-server tippers”.
During a layover in London, Lou Moshakos found himself in a true British ale house. The warm hospitality and neighborly atmosphere inspired the American version that the Moshakos family opened in 1999, proudly called the Carolina Ale House.
One day my cousin, Ashly and I decided to go to Mankato, Minnesota to get a few things for her son’s upcoming birthday party. We stopped at my cousin’s house before we went shopping and we decided to go out to eat with my cousin Ashly, Candi and her husband and their son, along with two of their friends. I went on January 9th at around 2:30p.m to the China Buffet. I will talk about the food, the service, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. The last thing I will talk about is the overall experience I have had at the restaurant.
J.R.R. Tolkien was an english author well known for writing the classics The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, and The Lord of The Rings. This fantasy series of books is one of the most popular in the world. Many film adaptations, spin offs, and even music have been made in dedication to these books. You could even say that they have their own fan base! With such a massive following, and business centered around the works of Tolkien definitely has the potential to become a huge success. I present to you my idea, a restaurant simply named Middle Earth. I choose this title because Middle Earth is the setting for Tolkien’s writings.
They have a full service bar (with five TVs for watching the big game), offering catering and special event hosting, and outdoor dining options. They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day of the week with a menu that features salads, burgers, sandwiches, and a variety of pizzas.
