One day my cousin, Ashly and I decided to go to Mankato, Minnesota to get a few things for her son’s upcoming birthday party. We stopped at my cousin’s house before we went shopping and we decided to go out to eat with my cousin Ashly, Candi and her husband and their son, along with two of their friends. I went on January 9th at around 2:30p.m to the China Buffet. I will talk about the food, the service, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. The last thing I will talk about is the overall experience I have had at the restaurant. The first thing I am going to talk about is the quality of the food. It had many options of food that you could have. They had everything from chicken nuggets to sushi. The taste of the food was good, but all the food I ate was cold. The group was not pleased. I have eaten at the China Buffet many of times and never had a problem with the food being cold. We did go in the middle of the afternoon, so a lot was left over from dinner. The soda I drank was not flat or flavorless. Overall, the food was good. …show more content…
IF I had to rate it on an A to F scale, F being the worst, it would be a C. The food was cold, but it tasted good. The service was below average, it would be a D on the scale. The cashier was rude and didn’t smile. It was a clean environment. I would recommend The China Buffet to anyone, but I would say they need to go during lunch or supper hours. I would rate the whole experience as a C, because I have better experience there before this and it was excellent, so I know they could have done better. I didn’t witness anyone being sick and sneezing over the food. There are always going to be restaurants that you don’t want to visit because of the cleanliness, or food. I was, so excited to eat at this place because it was so good every time I was there, but it disappointed me right from the start. As I stated before I would recommend The China Buffet, but only during lunch and supper
The function of the Chinese Restaurant in Midnight at the Dragon Café acts as a bubble of protection for the Chens. Su-Jen, however, lives both inside and outside of this bubble, inside both worlds of China and Canada; this is shown very early on in the novel when Su-Jen adopts a “Canadian name” (Bates 21), in order to assimilate into the Canadian culture. Unlike Annie, her parents and Lee-Kung keep their Chinese names, and by extension they keep themselves separate from Canadian culture. The restaurant provides a sanctuary for Annie’s parents and Lee-Kung, since the restaurant seems to be the only place they truly belong in Irvine. In Toronto with the established Chinese (China Town) community, the older Chinese-minded Chens feel more at ease because they are surrounded by people who speak the same language, are going through the same struggles, whom they can talk to and understand, nothing l...
Everyone wants their food to taste superb when going out to eat. Both restaurants served excellent homemade chips and salsas as well as queso dip. Reading the menu to order was no problem and both places had a wide variety of options to choose...
One quality that is involved in a restaurant is the atmosphere and the positive energy it gives off. Considering the Western theme, they have the restaurant well decorated from the entrance, to the place where you sit. The walls are painted with tumbleweeds on them, with great lighting that allows you to see, and not go blind. The plates and silverware are very nice, as is the food that goes into them.
It was a very positive beginning to our dinner. Our server seemed to have a sixth sense of when his section was sat and came to us to get a drink order within two minutes of the hostess leaving. He also seemed to really enjoy his job. Since it was her first time at Texas Roadhouse, my friend had a lot of questions about the menu and our server was very patient and answered every one to the best of his ability. We were also approached at our table by a manager who was sincere in her welcome to the restaurant and made us really feel at home while we were there. All in all, there was nothing to complain about when it came to customer service; it was
A vast empire that continues to rise is the king of americanized gourmet asian cuisine, Panda Express. This fast food restaurant has its arms wrapped around a large demographic do to its large food proportions, great tasting food, and comfortable atmosphere. This is one of the most ideal things to bring in to Brownstown. The allocation of Panda Express to the people of Brownstown would only bring more people to the town as well as envelop its people in good tasting food.
The restaurants and food at Universal Studios is great and has a lot of places to eat after you are in the park for a while. They have a lot of different types of food like seafood, italian, etc. The average ratings for the restaurants is around 3.5-4.8 stars. All the restaurants are pretty good.
I was flipping through the “Food” section of the San Francisco Chronicle on Wednesday, November 5th, 2003, and came across an enormous picture of a potsticker. The article about “Potstickers” caught my attention. I thought, so what? Is there really a history behind the famous dumpling? Surprisingly, yes. The article began with an introduction of how Amy Tan, the famous author of The Joy Luck Club, makes potstickers with her sisters in remembrance of their mother. They gradually linked into the history of the potsticker with a legend that many culinary chefs know today: A chef to a royal household left a pot of dumplings on the stove too long and discovered the bottoms had burned. The chef thought this would mean his head, but his smart son decided to present the dumplings to the emperor himself. When the emperor asked why the dumplings were burned, the son quickly explained it was a new recipe for something called potstickers. The emperor liked the crunchiness of the browned bottoms and a new dish was born.
I remember the first time I came to America; I was 10 years old. Everything was exciting! From getting into an airplane, to viewing magnificent, huge buildings from a bird’s eye view in the plane. It was truly memorable. After staying few days at my mother’s house, my father and I wanted to see what Dallas looks like. But because my mother was working the whole day, it wasn’t convenient for her to show us the area except only on Sundays. Finally, we went out to the nearby mall with my mother. My father and I were astonished after looking at a variety of stores. But after looking at different stores, we were finally tired and hungry, so we went into McDonald’s. Not being familiar with fast food restaurants, we were curious to try American
It's Saturday night and I'm in my snug but not skin tight blue spaghetti strap floor length dark royal blue dress, all ready to go out to a very fancy restuarant. Old Country Buffet. As my friend and I climb out of my car in a classy like fashion, we realize that the line to Old COuntry Buffet is at least 50 meters long. "Oh My God." I say as my lipstick chalked lips fall to the floor. Glancing over at a fast-food pizza restaurant, my friend and I look at each other.
The prices of the international foods vary according to the restaurant. The amount of food you get is well worth the price. The different places to eat are all amazing, but my favorite is the Pizza Palace. At the Pizza Palace, the pizza slices are gigantic and just one slice fills me up.
Beyond the depths of Communism, and governmental control the modern Chinese consumer has accessibility to earn higher incomes, provide for their families, enjoy leisure and have amenities that were once rare in a country that was once rural land. Now, with technological advancements and modernization of cities the Chinese consumer is able to live a lifestyle of luxury unlike the past, where luxury was once only possessed by those who were rich.
They did not provide a pleasant ambiance for cus! tomers to dine in. McDonald's communication and leadership were also lacking.
subtle. The goal for all Chinese chefs is to strive for harmony of the sight,
For this assignment, I decided to go to a nearby Vietnamese restaurant for the first time in my nineteen years of existence. I have never tried Vietnamese food before so it seemed like a good idea at the time because I was hungry and I wanted to try something new. When I walked in, I was greeted by a nice lade possibly in her 40s that seemed like she was from Vietnam. She was very short I would guess four feet nine inches. When I asked her if I could observe the restaurant she told me to ask the manager so I did.
As I finished eating, I heard the horn of my uncle’s car outside of my house, they seemed happy and ready to go. We all left at the same time, heading to my grandparent’s ranch. Once we get there, my cousins and I rushed to my grandfather’s fruit trees. He had apple trees, orange trees, lime trees, among others delicious fruits. As the time passed, lunch time came and everybody was called to eat. One of my uncles knows how to cook, and since he was in charge of the meat, he knew what to do to make it better. I remember the taste of that meat, it was delicious and everyone love
