Life is full of things to be passionate about. One can be passionate about a variety of things, some strange or unusual. The thing is, many people lack passion in their lives or even know what a passion is. To be quite honest, I wasn’t sure what passion was myself until I found mine. So what is passion? Passion is something that drives your existence, something that makes you happy, but above all something that gives you a purpose to be yourself and enjoy your life. It’s hard to find a passion, for how can one single thing hold so much meaning in one’s life? Passions vary with each person, which is what is so amazing about the experience of it. Passion is different for all of us yet holds the same importance. I love helping people, I love coffee, I love chocolate and I love my job, but I am passionate about …show more content…
Growing up, I dreamed of the day my prince charming would come and sweep me off my feet, fulfilling my fairytale ending. When boys and relationships became a part of my life in my early teens, I quickly found that love isn’t as sweet and romantic as the fairytales portray it to be. It is called “falling” in love for a reason, for often falling isn’t just a metaphorical fall. Love knocks you off your feet, and not always in the best of ways. After facing rejection, heartbreak, feelings of worthlessness and other negative side-affects that accompany love, I began not to believe in the feeling. I began to despise it. I walked around the world believing that love didn’t exist, and this time was the gloomiest of my life. I didn’t come to discover my passion for love by falling madly in love with the man of my dreams. That hasn’t happened (yet). Instead, I developed a passion for love when I looked around me and saw the love in life already present. I opened my eyes to different kinds
Patrick Combs' talks about how important it is for one to admit their interests and what they enjoy doing in life in order to acheive success and determine their passions. Throughout his book I noticed that he often reffers to the importance of following passions and dreams. Combs describes passions as "the greatest treasures you'll ever find." Combs' tells the reader that they must determine what they enjoy doing. Combs' teaches that one can find their intereest by using their "built in compass," and trusting their emotions. Once their interests are found the next step is pinpoint their true aspirations.
The unceasing question of what defines love continually inspires writers to share their perceptions with their audience. Throughout our childhood we are naturally inclined to believe and expect what media depicts for us. Disney movies such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White all follow the standard plot of a beautiful girl and a handsome young man falling in love without any complexity to their relationship. Their newly discovered love for one another forms quite simply throughout the movie and then they live happily ever after. As we mature, our innocence fades and the naïve perception of love slowly begins to be disassembled as we are brought into reality. Simply observing our own parents’ relationship can prove that love does
“Passion is what makes life interesting, what ignites our soul, fuels our love and carries our friendships, stimulates our intellect, and pushes our limits. A passion for life is contagious and uplifting. Passion cuts both ways. Those that make you feel on top of the world are equally able to turn it upside down. In my life I want to create passion in my own life and with those I care for. I want to feel, experience and live every emotion. I will suffer through the bad for the heights of the good.” - Pat Tillman (Evans, 33)
The real question is: why don’t people chase passions. Most people have a passion or dream, and then decide through one way or another not to follow that passion or dream. People don’t chase their dream career for a variety of reasons but people should chase it for a range of positive outcomes. A person should always be on the lookout for their dream...
Erin Pierce, the author, writes an amazing essay, she relates this essay with her personal experiences creating a great persuasive essay called, “Forget Prince Charming: Why All Girls Searching For The Wrong Guy.” In this essay Erin Pierce recounts an experience in her life when she was a young woman, she thought she had found the perfect man, her “Prince Charming”, but throughout her relationship she realized that was giving up too much in her life for this relationship, so she left it, to keep herself happy. Throughout the story, she makes great references to Prince Charming from the popular fairy tale Cinderella. The thesis of this essay is to her audience of many young women that they need to prioritize taking care of themselves, emotionally
Imagine if you find out that you are going to die and you only have a month to live. Have you lived a full life? What would you do with the rest of your life? Did you find the meaning of life? If I were to die in a month I know I would not have lived a full life. Also, I would want to quit my job and go traveling to see places that I have not seen before. Also, I would want to buy everything that I have ever wanted and do a thing that I have always wanted to do. I have found the meaning of life. The meaning of life to me is having pure bliss to find the meaning of life following God. You will not have a good life if you do not follow God. When you follow God you will find pure bliss. Some other people believe that the meaning of life is found bliss. You see a life of tragedy in the Dead Poet’s Society. I have a quote from Plato the courage that people need. Another movie with philosophy in it is What a Wonderful Life. This shows pure bliss. Socratics say that we need to examine our lives.
As any romantic will assert, love is by far the most powerful force known to human hearts and minds. This sentiment is espoused throughout history, almost to the point of cliché. Everyone has heard the optimistic statement, “love conquers all,” and The Beatles are certain, however idyllic it may be, that “all you need is love.” Humanity is convinced that love is unique within human emotion, unequalled in its power to both lift the spirit up in throws of ecstasy, and cast it down in utter despair.
What is Motivation? Is it about how hard you want something the drive you have to achieve that one task that has been on your mind since you could think for yourself or is that one long driven thing you come put all your effort into? But actually motivation is defined by Psychology today. It says “Motivation is literally the desire to do things. It's the difference between waking up before dawn to pound the pavement and lazing around the house all day. It's the crucial element in setting and attaining goals—and research shows you can influence your own levels of motivation and self-control. So figure out what you want, power through the pain period, and start being who you want to be.” While our motivations actually come from the interchange between nature and nurture we consider four perspectives when we are trying decipher different motivation behaviors.
Is love an emotion we feel naturally, or is it something that needs to be learned? Is the idea of loving someone a journey in which you grow together, or is there really such a thing as ‘love at first sight’? Vivek Shraya’s narrative She of the mountains and bells hooks’ perspective novel all about love dive into the ideas and definitions of love. Shraya’s novel She of the mountains explores how love is something we learn through experience, how our definition of love can be moulded and changed through those experiences, and how they are correlated to our individual identity and self-love. hooks’ all about love blames society for our reasoning why love fails and how we fail to have a sense of individual identity because of the idea of love
“I wasn’t supposed to fall in love with you. I tried so hard not to, but the more I did, the less I believed what I’d been taught my whole life. My dad always said that you know you are in love when someone comes along and makes you question everything. You did that, and at first I hated it.” (210).
Passion is your fuel. It motivates you to do something. It propels you up the mountain of your dreams and goals. Have a passion for life, for people, for animals, for your causes and your convictions, and you will be nearly unstoppable. Be a role model for those who have great needs and can't do
What is it that motivates you to look forward to each day as you wake up? What is it that gives you energy to stay up late and get up early? What are you creating that is so in tune with what stirs your heart and soul that you can hardly wait to do it? It is your passionate attachment to what you are doing that fire you up. It may be your work, your family, your career, your hobby, your community service, and it is the devotion with which you pursue what you love that drives you to achieve it.

Passion for Family, Community, Business, Technology and Intellectual growth are what motivate me on the daily basis. These are vital parts that have contributed to framing me into the person I’ve become. They have also shaped my short-term and long-term goals in life.
