Team is a group a people trying to achieve a goal. Some people think a team is just a group of people, but those people are wrong, in my opinion. A team is everyone together working for a goal, not just everyone together. To be a team, you need a goal that you want to achieve. An example is a movie called Space Jam, where Michael Jordan and all of the Looney Toones play against the other team to determine their fate. This is an example because it really shows what a true team is. You can be a team, but you can't be a team unless your all trying to win. 4 people can be playing there hardest but if one player doesn't have the urge to win, I guarantee you cannot win. Not completely, but sort of. Society says that a team is a group of people competing. Mine is that it's a group of people trying to achieve a goal. So there different because I believe that you need a goal to have a team. If you don't have a goal, then I really don't understand why you even need a team. A team won't do you any good unless you have a goal you want to get to. It's also the same, in a way, because it's is people all together, all as one. The dictionary's (websters) definition is "a group competing in on side of a sport". I don't like this definition because it doesn't have to be a sport in my opinion. A group can be informal, like 3-12 people that are in a meeting to talk over a business problem. Teams are structured formally and sometimes are allocated. Teams have specific goals, purpose and allocate duties. Team need to have different members with particular roles in order to achieve a common goal (Boundless 2014). Without the goals and purpose, you will unable to build a team. The purpose must be worthwhile and create a sense of working something together. The goals must be specific and challenging in order each member can understand how they contribute to the success to the team. The power of a team appears from the sense of community that unleash strong influence on the behaviors and attitudes of the members. Peer pressure and wish to be an effective member helps to shape priorities and direct efforts which they will help the team goals (Sisson. J, 2013)

But I think the most important thing what we could find the group factor in this activity is the same goal. We had a very exact and definite goal that was competing with other groups and winning in that competition. Thus, perhaps not only me but also other group members felt the sense of camaraderie through competition with other teams.
