This year marked the second annual career panel and brunch discussion for the organization. The event provided teens with an opportunity to network and learn about various career fields ranging from media and entertainment to small business operation and medical school. “Do I have to go? I mean, it’s not required for me to finish high school or anything. It’s just something you want me to do,” I pleaded with my parents. “Yes you have to go and there’s no way you’re going to get out of it either. It’ll be a good experience for you, and you might even make some new friends,” my father replied. Tomorrow I was going to HOBY, which stands for Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar. It is specifically for sophomores in high school and I was chosen to be one of the candidates to represent my school for the year twenty fifteen. There are many HOBYs around the United States, but I was going to HOBY Ohio West located at the Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. The seminar started on June fourth and concluded on the seventh. This was a four day event and I wouldn’t see my family for two of the days. I had just turned sixteen in April and I had never stayed more than an hour away from my family for a night or two. It was very nerve-wracking for me, but I had to go no matter what. Little did I know that this experience would make me into the more confident young woman I am today.
While only a small percentage of the entire workforce was able to participate in the event, its intention was to provide employees with something to strive toward. It was also rejuvenating for those given the opportunity to attend. The event was inspiring and left you with the feeling that you work for a great company and they do care about you; so much so that they are willing to spend a lot of money and provide you with a wonderful experience . The event also focused heavily on the driving force of the company: the students and helping them to improve and change their lives. Employees returned to work feeling inspired and ready to do just that. The event provided the company with an opportunity to invest in their employees, reward them, and make them feel

We made an advertisement for vegan, gluten free cupcakes. Most cupcakes are made with milk and wheat flour and many people are not able to eat them. We had two girls; one allergic to milk and the other to gluten. People with the same problems can see that there is still a way for them to get the satisfaction from cupcakes. This makes one feel hopeful and eager to buy the cupcakes. That is the way we used pathos as encouragement. The way we used logos was when we showed the survey which tells people that most of the tasters admired the vegan, gluten free cupcakes; that encourages them to try the cupcakes. We decided to include ethos as well by showing a signed report from a doctor which is a trustworthy resource. Since the doctor said that the

Describe: It is appropriate to use sources in an essay if the sources can enhance the essay and support it to make a strong argument. Using resources is necessary for essays that require evidence to present a more compelling statement to the audience. Sources, if used and presented properly, provide evidential reference to back up the claim of the writer and prove to be a convincing element of an essay. They essentially validate the point and present materials to persuade the readers.
Career Counseling, or Career Services depending on the institution, is frequently offered on a one-on-one basis, but at times this service is provided through group workshops, classes, or computerized guidance systems. Traditionally a standard function of the career services role is to help students develop job search skills however the scope of the career development services has broadened considerably in recent years (Komives, Woodard, & Associates, 2003, p. 344). Career services professionals may teach resume writing, critique students' resumes and cover letters, provide resources on resume and employment letter writing, job interviewing skills, and planning job search strategies. Students may be videotaped in mock interviews so they can see themselves in action. Additionally some career services offices involve alumni, school advisory committees, or employers in critiquing resumes, conducting practice interviews, or leading workshops. Many may also offer sessions on related topics such as professional networking, proper attire, or transitioning to the work place.
"If you do something you love, you will never work a day in your life" this could only be ever true because if you learn to love your job would you never work? To work in a job you hate is more common than the oxygen we breath. To work in a job you don't hate is uncommon as kinder toys in the United States. One of the most common reasons people chose a job they hates that pays well over a job they'd love to do is simply because we are constantly using family. "How will you provide for your family with that kind of job?"
