I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Cupcakes are the perfect treat to enjoy at any gathering; be it a party, meeting, or a wedding, they are a delicious dessert that people love. However, cupcake wrappers themselves are far from perfect; although they’re pretty, they are inconvenient and harmful to the environment. Fortunately, Sweet Nothings will solve these issues to make the cupcake experience truly impeccable. The problem: Regular cupcake wrappers are nice to look at, but that’s about it. They have to be peeled back, they peel away crumbs of the cupcake, and they have to be thrown in a garbage can. This makes them difficult to eat on the go, and they produce waste that is harmful to the environment.

This includes mostly females, with a middle to high income level, who have purchased cupcakes before. Adults aged 25-54 would make up the majority of the consumers of Sweet Nothings, since this age range is the most likely to make environmentally friendly actions, as shown in Figure 2. Since Sweet Nothings produces no waste, it will be highly appealing to this demographic. Sweet Nothings will be positioned both online and in a variety of stores that sell cupcakes, including bakeries and grocery stores. What is the growth potential? Sweet Nothings will have multiple routes for expansion. First of all, as Sweet Nothings become more popular in Canada, they will also attract attention in other countries. Specifically, the U.S. will provide a good route for expansion to another market, as it has a 250 million dollar cupcake market. Next, when people use the online designer, they will be able to upload their designs to a database for other people to see, rate and use them. As more designs are added, the collection of available wrapper types will grow and this will add to the appeal of Sweet Nothings. Thirdly, Sweet Nothings can be extended to similar products, such as chocolate, cookies, etc. By using the same business model with other dessert foods, Sweet Nothings will be able to provide a larger range of products and appeal to even more people.
3. What is the earning
The Hershey Company is the largest manufacture of chocolate and candy in the United States. The Hershey Company produces and sells a wide variety of sweets, including gluten-free and sugar-free sweets (The Hershey Company). Some famous brands produce by The Hershey Company include, Hershey, Reese’s, York, Kit-Kat, Ice Breakers, Twizzlers, Almond Joy, and Mounds (The Hershey Company). Milton Hershey changed the candy making industry by turning his caramel business into a chocolate industry, caring enough to influence his company to help organizations and individuals, and by remaining successful for over a hundred years.
Claire’s Chocolates does not advertise, relying on word of mouth. Their promotional methods, therefore, are based on quality customer service, building customer relationships, high quality products and service delivery (Gronroos, 1994, 4). This creates the experience that makes customers want to talk about their product and this, therefore, creates new customers.
We are all aware of sugar, the sweet delicious substance commonly used in food and beverages, but table sugar is not the only sugar there is. There are many artificial sugars that many people now-a-days aren’t aware of. In this research paper I will be identifying four different types of synthetic sugars which are: Saccharin, Aspartame, Sucralose, and Sodium cyclamate. Synthetic sugars, or artificial sweeteners, have both positive and negative effects that can either make a big impact in our body or a small impact. Synthetic sugars can be used in many ways but are most commonly used in regular everyday foods and beverages or they can be mixed with other artificial sweeteners. Synthetic sugars tend to look very similar to real sugar so sometimes it may be hard to distinguish them with the naked eye.

Come on now...we have all done it. You know the feeling. You are walking down an aisle in the supermarket craving “bad”. Instead of going for the Oreo cookies you feel are loaded with fat, you opt for the Snackwells Fat Free Devils Food Cake Cookies and feel like you are a saint for making the least harmful choice. You feel great...that is until you get home, open the package, eat one cookie, then two...then in a matter of minutes the whole box has been consumed. But you think, its not that bad...no fat!!!! But, what about everything else in that box???
The three chocolate chip cookie brands tested were Chips Ahoy!, Keebler’s Original Soft Batch, and Cub Foods brand. The three brands were rated on a scale from one to three (three being the best, one the worst) on their flavor, chewiness, and appearance. To score a three on flavor the cookie had to taste delicious and melt in your mouth like ice cream outside on a hot summer day. To score a three on chewiness, it had to be very soft like dough and take a long time to finish. Finally, to rate a three on appearance the cookie had to be very appealing to the taste tester and look delicious to eat. The brand of cookies that scored the highest in each category, I crowned the best chocolate chip cookie in America.
The most basic explanation found for packaging is “materials used to wrap or protect goods.” however today that definition has expanded based on the development of packaging through the years.
Probably some of the most pleasurable and enjoyable memories of a person has to do with sweets. When thinking back to birthdays, there is always the memory of the wonderful cake that mother beautifully made and decorated with frosting and glazes. A typical night out with dad can be transformed into a magical evening with a trip to the ice cream parlor. The end of a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner turns heavenly when a hot apple pie is brought to the table and topped with delicious, melting vanilla ice cream. A good wedding is never complete without the cutting of the splendid multi-level wedding cake, when the happy new couple gets to playfully shove and smear cake and white frosting into each other’s smiling faces. Everyone knows that as a child, the only good part about going to the dentist is getting the candy bar at the end of the visit. Why do some people get sick after eating too much suger? Some people do not even know that the abuse of sugar can lead to negative effects on your body. There is something strangely enjoyable and resplendent about the consumption of sugar. Why is it that sugar is so deliciously enjoyable and at the same time a food product that has many negative affects on people’s health?
1st Strategy- Product development is a strategy that seeks increased sales by improving or modifying present products or services (David & David, 2017, p. 139). Packaging plays a huge part when considering multiple chocolate bar choices in a store. Hershey knows this fact to and has been working on many product package changes to encourage interest in hopes of gaining more sales. Candy is a great way to add a little zing to a party or an event. For example, Milky Ways, Snickers, and fun dip are some fun and great things for a party. Although, Kit-Kats are the best candy to eat and enjoy. Kit-Kats are the best candy because of their amazing crunchy wafer, their hilarious commercials, and their spectacular chocolate.
