I was 13 at the time and had just gotten an electric scooter. One day as I was riding around my neighborhood, which is relatively safe, I noticed two construction workers next to a white van staring at me. I didn't think much of it as there was a lot of construction going on at the time. As I was riding I took a bad fall and landed on my head causing my forehead to bleed. The construction workers both looked over and started laughing, then one shouted," Wipeout!!" I yelled at them to shut up which was probably a bad idea looking back on it now. The two men then got into their van and rode over to where I was sitting examining my wounds. They slowed down to a stop next to me and the driver said," You shouldn't say shut up, it's rude." I replied, " You were being rude so screw off and leave me alone." Also probably not the best thing to say. The driver then said, " You better cut it out or else." I responded with, " Or else what." What he said next still disturbs me. " Or else you're coming in my van and you'll never see your family again. My eyes widened in horror as the men drove off. …show more content…
I thought everything was fine until the next day when I was home alone. It was about 6 at night and my parents were eating dinner at a local restaurant. I was watching TV when I heard a loud knock at the door. I remembered what my mom had said and peeked through the window, only to see the two construction workers from the previous day. I shot back from the window and ran upstairs to call my mom when I heard glass breaking from the glass door in the back of the house. I then wisely called my neighbor, who is an ex-marine and frantically told him about the situation. He told me he'd be right over with his 9-millimeter
THE PAST :.. In days gone by, the four species managed to live in perfect harmony. Witches, werewolves and vampires lived in secret, blending in with the humans on a daily basis - and the humans remained completely in the dark about their existence. It was after thousands of years of living this way, whilst everything was completely normal, that a small group of vampires decided that they’d had enough. They spent months devising plans.
When I was at school I broke my wrist. My friends and I were playing on the slide and I fell off into the dirt and landed on my wrist. When I heard “crack”, I knew something was wrong and needed to go tell the teacher. Holding my wrist I ran to Mrs.Kathy and told her that something was wrong with my wrist. We ran to the nurse because she thought it was severely damaged based on the way it was dangling. An ice pack was put on my wrist to control the swelling. My dad was given a phone phone call and was told that I had hurt my self on the playground. Rushing from work my dad was to coming get me and on the way he picked up my brother from high school, they later arrived at the elementary school. We hastily went to the emergency room because my wrist was getting sizeably larger. By the time we achieved our destination, my mom was waiting patiently for us.
Trails of thick smoke danced in the air, twirling into all sorts of directions. Nothing but haze fogged up the brown tinted aviators dangling off Detective Killinger’s eyes. Out from his eternal slumber, Killinger awoke as the backend of a lawn chair tipped back ever so slightly. As he wrangled around on the warm red carpet, a cold metal vice clenched his wrist, preventing him from exiting the scene. Handcuffs. Of course, he fished around into the abyss of his pockets, only to come up with a handful of lint, an empty flask, a crumpled pack of Camel cigarettes, and the address of a motel. No badge. No gun.
“License and registration please.” He said. He goes back to his car with my license and registration all of my thoughts were going crazy and I didn’t know what to do but think “ What is happening?” I thought.
When I was 10, I was hit by a car. Actually, I was 9 years old, got hit by the car and turned 10 in hospital.
The Creature That Opened My Eyes Sympathy, anger, hate, and empathy, these are just a few of the emotions that came over me while getting to know and trying to understand the creature created by victor frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. For the first time I became completely enthralled in a novel and learned to appreciate literature not only for the great stories they tell but also for the affect it could have on someones life as cliché as that might sound, if that weren’t enough it also gave me a greater appreciation and understanding of the idiom “never judge a book by its cover.” As a pimply faced, insecure, loner, and at most times self absorbed sophomore in high school I was never one to put anytime or focus when it came time
I had a little cut on my finger and my sister had her wrist x-rayed but no damage. My parents had to wait to see us and finally we got to see each other after about an hour. We were sitting in the hospital and, Mom asked the lady from school how driver and riders in the truck were doing. She said “Not good”. We did not know there was more than one in the truck at that time.
she always used to wish for a way to escape her life. She saw memories
I remember it being extremely cold. The wind was starting to pick up, feeling like cold needles poking my face and ears as I quickly walked towards the building. My shift at Harris Teeter did not start for another five minutes, but the wind was painful to feel against my skin, so I hurried inside. As soon as I stepped through the doors, the warm, dry air hit my face. After I dropped my keys and purse off in the break room, I headed to the front desk to clock in.
Homicide. To a detective it was the worst kind of crime, and not just because it led to tons of paperwork. Homicide’s were often easy to solve because it was so hard to cover up. DNA is everywhere, blood splatters, getting rid of the body, witnesses. There was so many variables and things always tended to go wrong.
Traumatic events come in many different ways at many different times of ones life. Mine came on the school bus while I was on my way home from school. The bus had stopped to let a couple kids off and I stood up to throw some trash away. I stood up we were rear ended by a young lady who had been trying to get a bee out of the car and not realized the bus had stopped. I was standing up and the impact caused me to bang into the seat in front of me and the one behind me. I didn’t realize what had happened until moments later when someone said something. As I began to sit down I felt a sharp pain shoot through my body and my heart started to beat rapidly.
As the sun slowly settled, darkness began to overcome the Earth. Sickness—had come. The sickness slowly but readily crept into each home. It was the Midnight Theft. The destructive plague stole during midnight—it stole lives. Deep in the heart of Tukenasville, people were dying, and the whole country was beginning to perish. The flowers withered as they bloomed. The mountain peaks crumbled under steer weight. Animals fled to holes to live out the final moments of their life. People were distraught, and chaos was invading every planet in the macrocosm. People called me Nikolaou Gonfalon. I was the last of the Warriors of Phos. Long ago, the Sisters of Moiré ordained my doomed fate. I tried to bargain with them to change it, but in the end, I captured them and locked them up in a repository on a cliff. I was to lead the expedition to find the cure for the Midnight Theft. That, however, was not the reason why I would go on this journey. My best friend, Tolem, was dying of a rare illness called Takigifeay. It was causing the slow built up of lactic acid on his bones. I knew that death would come to him soon. Legend spoke about a necklace that can bring life to anyone or thing. It was said to have been belonged to an Oceanian, one of the water people. The Lost Jade Necklace of Serenity was what it was called, and it could bring healing to the Earth. Nonetheless, it could be the obliteration of mankind, also. I began to pack since my journey was to start at that moment.
It was a quiet night, 9 PM, and no sounds were heard. Detective Josh Bush was just getting ready to leave. His assistant; Carl Lobson, hadn’t showed up all day because he was home sick. He felt uneasy the way Carl’s desk was empty with shadows over it. Josh heard a creak at the door and saw Carl.
“Caleb, how many times do I have to say it. I. AM. READY.” “We will talk about it later. We have to get to the house,” Caleb says, trying to lighten the mood.
Just as he moved his gun to aim at me i got up out of my seat and kicked him in the face.he was out
