running down the street and made me fall over as it hurtled through my legs and continued on it's merry way. With a little feeling of ruefulness at my decision to wear high heels for the first time, I slowly began to push myself back into my tottering position. Which is when it started to rain. Great, freezing drops began to suddenly pour from the sky, and in seconds I was drenched.
Staring in frustration at the sky, I realized that the umbrella I usually carried (because when doesn't it rain in New York?) had been left at home. Of course it had. Annoyed at myself, I pushed myself up. The rain, apparently, wasn't going to stop anytime soon. Therefore I pulled off my heels, snatched up my purse, and started running as fast as is possible when one is wearing a skirt that almost brushes the floor (and that's with heels) and is very unathletic.

And then someone walking by tripped and threw their entire cup of coca-cola in my face. By the time I had got through some napkins from a fast-food resturaunt, the stuff had dried in a sticky mess.
As I sat, rubbing at my face until it was red and sore and my patience was worn thin, someone called my name. With feeling of dread and a prayer that it wouldn't be who I thought it was, I turned around. The boy that I had had a crush on since I was sixteen was walking towards me. Yep, it was
On the Run Run. The only word repeats in my head: Run. I cannot stop, I am not allowed. No matter how much I am gasping for oxygen to reach my lungs, I cannot. No matter how much my legs burn and ache, I cannot.
rainstorm, and was positive one was coming. The wind started to howl, so strong that it
I could hear the car engines roaring to life, horns honk above me. Tiny footsteps echo throughout the tunnel as I leant up against a brick wall. The tunnel seemed to carry on forever like there was no ending. Yellow dimmed lights lead through the path of the tunnel. I tried to control my breathing which got heavier by the second.
I woke up this morning ready to play baseball. It was was supposed to rain but it was to be
The Creature That Opened My Eyes Sympathy, anger, hate, and empathy, these are just a few of the emotions that came over me while getting to know and trying to understand the creature created by victor frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. For the first time I became completely enthralled in a novel and learned to appreciate literature not only for the great stories they tell but also for the affect it could have on someones life as cliché as that might sound, if that weren’t enough it also gave me a greater appreciation and understanding of the idiom “never judge a book by its cover.” As a pimply faced, insecure, loner, and at most times self absorbed sophomore in high school I was never one to put anytime or focus when it came time
Biking this trail many times before, I was all too well aware of the mountain that lie ahead. Sticking its head above the lowlands, it puts a certain uneasiness within about the impending pain. Many people have called me ludicrous for putting myself through these grueling runs. Obviously, they have never known what it is like to chase the small light at the end of the tunnel, working everyday, blisters on the feet and pain in the legs, just to pursue this proverbial light. Yet, as I stepped onto the powdery path, with the smell of a recent rain, I chased it.
the rain was pelting down on my head. My car had just broken down in
Before I could knock on the door, Lester opened it and let me inside. He had a stupid looking grin on his face, and I hoped that he hadn’t seen us kissing in the van. “It’s good to see you,” he said as he looked me up and down. “I just saw you yesterday,” I replied as I crossed the threshold. After he had winked his eye, he said, “I know.”
she always used to wish for a way to escape her life. She saw memories
I took a deep breath and I could feel the cold air entering my body. The rain falls heavily, straight down and created a blur in the road. A sound of cars splashing water everywhere, horns beeping, and the pinging of the loud rain off things. This made it an excessive task to focus on the
It was beautiful. I start running. I run and run until I hit the edge. I let the breeze flow through my hair. The waterfall across from me was breathtaking.
Up And Down Marissa: It wasn't all that bad I guess. I mean, I'm sure I can get used to it, but I don't know if I want to. “Mom,” I said, “our house is a disaster. When are we gonna start actually unpacking boxes?”
We rushed into the store that was closest to us, which we shopped at for a while. We were waiting for the rain to stop, but it didn’t so we moved to a different store, and by moved, I mean we sprinted to a different store so we didn’t get rained on. It was fun though.
Suddenly, I snapped awake. It really was the day of my party, and it really was pouring down rain outside. I trudged out of my room and had breakfast, all the while staring gloomily at the storm raging outside.
I knew that i was going to get in trouble, but since i liked the rain i didn't see anything wrong with getting a little bit drenched in water outside. I would run through the cold drops of water that fell on my head. I would sit outside and stare into the mysteriously grey clouds as i jumped every time the sound of thunder would enter my ears. Running inside the house when i heard the sound of my dad's car door slam shut. I was hoping that if i changed quickly enough into some warm comfy pajamas that i wasn't going to get caught, but i realized that i was wrong when i heard the yelling of my mom and dad in the kitchen.
