The following text is archived from Captain Volt’s space logs. Some days will be missing, as they were lost during transmission of files. Day 1: Liftoff was smooth, as expected. I just passed the moon, Lunar Colonies thrive while I will be stuck in deep space trying to find an element that can only be found in the Oort cloud. What it does… well, I don't really know, but all I know is what it looks like and that's good enough for me. By tomorrow I should be past Jupiter. Passing by mars now, it’s currently being terraformed. Slowly turning red from green by the day. Day 2: This trip is taking a bit longer than I thought, we aren't past Jupiter. In fact, we aren't even at Jupiter. Hopefully, I don't crash on my way through the Oort cloud. …show more content…
Day 5: I am passing through the Oort cloud, an asteroid came hurtling to one of the rocket's thrusters, and it broke off with a loud SNAP.
I can’t send a strong enough signal for anyone to notice because when the asteroid hit the thruster, it also launched my rocket through into many other asteroids. So now I am in deep space, way past the element vein. I shall wait until help comes. Day 15: No one has come to rescue me, nor has anyone has even acknowledged my SOS signal. I think I'm going crazy… I keep hearing things like someone was walking along the spaceship. Except whatever I'm hearing its something big, making loud stomping noises at night. I think I'm not alone. Day 20: Someone has finally noticed my signal, finally I can go back home. I can finally be saved from whatever I am seeing, whether it is real or
not. Day 22: The rescue team has just arrived. It is time to hea- I just woke up… I think someone or something knocked me out. I don’t know what happened but I do know where I am, I am currently under ship a.k.a the storage room. It is as cold as ice down here. I am now also separated from the rescue team, I can hear them fumbling around upstairs. It’s no use to shout, they won't hear me. Day 23: I finally made my way out of the maze of boxes. The rescue team is currently sleeping, it must be nighttime. By tomorrow we should be heading out any time soon, I can't wait to go home. Day 24: I just woke up, and this time nothing knocked me out. I also have some bad news, the rescue ship is gone along with the rescue team, they either left… or worse. I might have to face the monster on my own, or whatever that thing is. Day 25: I just found the thing, it must be bigger than a school bus. It has big beady eyes, and slimy reddish-brownish skin was dripping goo everywhere in the storage room. It’s grapefruit-sized eyes locked with mine, the monster let out a huge ROAR. That is my queue, to start running. I am sprinting down the corridor as I type, faster than I have ever run before. Day 26: I have made it to the safe room, I am still alive. I just noticed outside my window, something… metallic. I think it might be the rescue team’s spaceship. I might have to spacewalk over towards it. It will be no easy task, but if it means I can go home… I will take any risk. Day 27: I have just made it to the spaceship, it seems functional. No crew members are in it. Let me turn on the ignition, and we should be heading home soon. Day 32: I am now currently landing on earth, this being a very frightening adventure. I am glad that it is finally over, I never… in my life want to go to space again.

After leaving Spaceship Earth, my family walked to the next attraction. It was a colorful building with a lot of solar panels on it as well. We went inside and like the other attraction, cold air hit our bare skin. Everyone sits down in four of these big, traveling theatre cars. Once everyone was seated, the ride begins. It starts w...
Millions of years later, a monolith is found on the moon, it sends a signal towards Saturn, and thus the Discovery is built to investigate Saturn to determine if there is life. Aboard the ship Discovery were 2 awake men, David Bowmen and Frank Poole, 4 in stasis, awaiting the the arrival of Saturn, and the Hal 9000 computer, which served as the main computer that operated most functions on the ship.
I run down stairs as quick as possible, there is no time to waste. I open the office door and plop down in the chair in front of my new 2153 Model Astrocomputer. After turning on the super fast computer and atomic laser printer I begin to work. When the 3-D super pixel screen comes up I immediately click on the blue U for Universal Explorer. I plug in my Interstellar Satellite Modem. I go to the top of the screen where the word DESTINATION: jumps out at me. I suddenly get a rush of excitement all throughout my body. Finally I am going to get the perfect prom dress! I click on the destination box and begin to type- www.
I have received your letter, are the children healthy and well? How are you lately? Have you been sick recently? I am fine, well, as right as one is capable of being over in this land. I have thought of you every second of every day, there is not one moment I have forgotten about you. I just wish to be back home again. Last time you said that Henry was feeling slightly ill, I have some medicine stashed away in the bottom cupboard near the grand clock. If he shall start to feel very poorly, you may go there and find him medicine. You will know which one it is once you see it, I do not want Henry to turn out like poor Will did.
I spotted a crack in the door’s glass window. The crack seemed to be suck some of the scarce air from the ship! Rafael and I estimated that this minimized up our allotted time to get back to Earth. If we didn’t make it in time, we would die of suffocation! In five hours, we started to enter Earth’s atmosphere and we started to rapidly gain speed. On April 17th we started to head to the Atlantic Ocean and our ship started to burn up. Through the windows of the ship we could see an endless amount of red and blue flames. The flames slipped through the crack in the window, like an acrobat at the circus. The fire cornered Rafael and I and I knew that I would not see my family again. The flames got to Rafael first and he screamed as he disappeared into the

Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears...in...rain. Time to die.”
Life in the camp is epitomised by one big question mark. Uncertainty is the order of the day. I don’t know how long I’ve been here or why I’m here. I’m lost in desolation and blended into the sea of blue and white. Papa tells me everything will be fine one day but he has lost the spark in his eyes and is now filled with despair. Today we continue to work on building huts, I can make an escape and meet up with Bruno like I usually did. A soldier gives me a wheelbarrow and I barely manage to hold it upright. I run towards the pile of rubble that hides me from the soldiers, the place where I meet Bruno. But before I could escape a blonde soldier yells at me. “Hey you! Come here. Faster you rat!” My heart pumps loudly, ringing in my ears. I run towards the soldier and he raised his hand, I immediately cower and waited for him to deliver the fatal blow. Instead he grabbed my arm and pulled me towards the entrance gates. “We need someone with tiny fingers, you’ll be going somewhere where you are not allowed to talk. Is that clear?” The soldier ordered, I didn’t want to think what they wanted with my small bony hands.
It was a time unlike no other other time that had occurred, planet Earth was flourishing and technology was advancing to levels never before imagined. That is until we paid too much attention to what was out there rather than paying attention to our own affairs and every nation contributed well over billions to what was thought to be the most successful space mission in the recorded history of mankind. But the mission did not exactly go as planned as there were a few dilemmas aboard a massive space vessel.
This was BAD!!! I’m Toni Drumwright, a prized member of the San Francisco Coast Guard. Today started with a bang when I was eating lunch and my crew got called in for a rescue in the bay where a raft had turned over. The crew loaded up in the helicopter and we zoomed down to Fernandez Bay. As we got closer, we began to see the victim of the raft crash.
It was a dark, cold, cloudy day. The clouds covered the sky like a big black sheet, nothing to be seen except darkness that seemed to go on forever. This was the third day in a row that there had been complete darkness, there was no getting rid of it. This was because of ‘the meteorite.’
“Nuclear bomb-- Sector E4Y N9H, --- Extraction --- Sector E4Y N0G --” That was all Warren heard before the transmission was cut, and the old radio died. He looked around in shock before rolling out of his makeshift bed, he sighed when he noticed the small figure sleeping in a tree above him. “Audrey, get up, We might finally escape this hell-hole!” Warren yelled, forgetting to keep his voice down out of pure excitement. Audrey fell out of the tree she was sleeping in, she was supposed to be on guard duty. “Huh, what?!” She squealed, rolling to her feet. As she stood up and looked around wildly, she swung her rusty Colt Python around like she had been attacked. They stood in silence as Audrey glared at Warren, If looks could kill… he thought.
I walked into our basement, my parents built a fully functional lab down there, we even had our own telescope. We had three actually from different countries. It was a spacious room, white walls covered mostly with maps of all the places we’ve traveled to, I walked over to my favorite one, it was a blown up version of the one in the book me and my parents drew out together. ‘My Very Excellent Mother Just Made Us Nine Pizzas’ I said. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto. I thought. It was something I took away from that school I went to an acronym for the planets. I noticed a little post-it note outside Pluto in the corner it said ‘Asguard’ Asguard that’s in one of my mythology books. Why is it on our board, it dose not exist, does it? I looked at the note just puzzled. I shrugged it off and turned around to a door with a keypad and a camera in it. I grabbed my backpack and I walked up to the door and tapped a note on the door. ‘Identify yourself’ the door talked. Tight security on this one huh ‘Stella Louise Archer’ I said to the door. Then the key pad came to...
