I was sitting with my friend, Pistol on one of the bucking shoots watching the barrel race.
O’Connor himself wasn’t partially physically intimidating. This fact became abundantly clear once he stepped off his chair and approached me. While not necessarily short in stature, his seat gave him an extra few inches compared to his natural stance.
This is one outdoor activity that shouldn’t be missed in Garner State Park. It is an experience you’ll truly love. Just go with the flow and appreciate Mother Nature at its best. You can bring your own or just simply rent. Don’t forget to put on sun block even though the trees can provide some shade. Remember that it is still important to wear one.
As a large sedentary community, the Mid Atlantic Consolidated Patient Accounts Center (MACPAC) has a great need to promote exercise and healthy eating habits in the workplace. Currently more than one-third of the country suffers from obesity. It is my hope that with the help of the Wellness Committee we can continue to improve healthy lifestyle changes, and curb the epidemic of obesity that our country has. I am currently finishing my Masters in Public Health, and need to do a service project for the community. It is my hope that the MACPAC will be a place where we can start this change from sedentary lifestyles, to a more healthy and active

The video, Food as Medicine, provides us with a look into the growing movement on how foods can be used to heal chronic illnesses and disease. It takes us into the lives of three people with chronic illnesses and their journey to discovering how their dietary choices will either build better health or continue to destroy it. The video also explores how our current healthcare system makes little effort to address the growing body of evidence on just how important diet and nutrition is in our overall health. The video touches on how our society’s culture creates an environment that doesn’t support health and wellness. According to Sarah Ballantyne, Ph.D., improving our healthcare outcomes requires the “need to change our education on food, change the food supply, change how our food is grown, change our access to food, and change the cost of foods so that healthy foods are subsidized.” Kent Thornburg,
As humans contemplate on their meaning of existence, they embark upon a journey of transformation. This journey of transformation is a voyage embarked on to discover the true meaning to one’s own self, where the destination, or the transformation, occurs when one completes his journey. Each individual has a unique journey and destination to transformation that helps shape who they are. However, there is much debate about whether the journey of transformation is more about the transformation, or the journey itself. Although the transformation is the end result on who we are to be, the path that leads us there, the journey we humans take on is the most influential aspect of the journey of transformation, as seen through the ideas of action, devotion, and knowledge taken out from excerpts of the Bhagavad Gita.
Located in the popular Yosemite National Park, Yosemite Falls is the tallest waterfall in California. Every year, mother nature’s breathtaking beauty attracts millions of people from around the world. People hike for three long and fatiguing hours in anticipation of witnessing forceful water rushing down the steep mountain from 2,425 feet above. Last summer, my family and I backpacked through the Yosemite Falls Trail and I came to learn what a truly exhausting experience it is.
“Sometimes it’s the journey that teaches you a lot about your destination,” is stated by Drake. The journey maybe over but the destination is beautiful. Through this experience I have grow not only as a person but also a little muscle. The journey began that March 10th night and it ends at my county fair this April. Without the help of my sponsors, this journey would not have been possible.
For my first piece of original writing I intend to create a piece primarily written for entertainment however, I also want to portray an interest into historical and political persuasions. In just a few seconds, his life went from bad to worse. While working one day, Mike Sprague fell of a thirty-five foot roof, breaking both feet. He was bedridden, unable to do any exercise of any sort. To add on to this, Mike was overweight and weight loss was necessary for his recovery. His inability to walk made losing weight even more difficult. To make matters worse, Mike was gaining weight in this state of sedentary hopelessness. Mike became sorrowful, depressed, and failed to see any good in his life. Fortunately, with some slight motivation, Mike gathered up his own motivation and lost 211 pounds through proper dieting and daily exercise. He is happier than ever; he has found a great balance in his life through eating right and participating in physical activity (“Three Amazing Lifestyle”). Everyone strives for happiness. To some, happiness consists of wealth and luxurious spending which is far from the truth. True joy shouldn’t be expensive. Fortunately, happiness comes cheap; it can be achieved by everyone. Both mental and physical struggles will arise, but everyone can find joy in their lives. Living healthy increases lifespan, releases endorphins, and reduces risks of certain diseases thus creating a more jovial, optimistic lifestyle. How does one live healthily? Living a healthy lifestyle requires exercise, a proper diet, and motivation.

Throughout our healthy brains, healthy bodies course so far, we have learned time and time again about the strong and important relationship between our brains and our bodies. Embodying our healthiest selves helps not only us, it helps those around us by providing a positive example about how to exist within our own bodies, and exist within the world.
