Somewhere in what we now call Western Europe, at the beginning of the 14th century there was a vast valley. In the middle of this valley was a large kingdom called Camelot, this was a very magical and unique kingdom. This was home of the rulers of The Five Great Species: The Faye, The Greek Gods, The Dragons, The Mystics and The Humans. The Faye and its legions of races were ruled by the Majestic Lady Of The Lake, Nimue. The Mighty Zeus was the god to The Greek Gods and all their mythical creatures. The Ancient Dragons and all their elemental races were reigned over by Septor The Wise. The Great Wizard Merlin resided over The Powerful Mystics and their magics. Most of The Humans in the world had accepted The Righteous King Arthur as their leader. The Five Great Species had always knew of each other, but they were neither friend nor foe to the others. With the creation of Camelot, that all changed and they brought all their people together under one banner. They found a way to still rule their people even when they were scattered to every corner of the world. They managed to do this by creating a glorious kingdom and founded The Council Of Light, to rule over them. Under the Councils rule the people started calling themselves The Clan Of Light, they followed the path of good and love. Camelot was known everywhere as the Kingdom Of Light, But those of …show more content…
The fairy walked through the arch, leaving Merlin to be the last one left in this world. The moment Merlin vanished through the arch it started to disintegrate, until it was like it was never there. The Dark Ones had won the war and a victorious Morgana sat on her throne believing she alone ruled the world, but she was wrong. The Humans hatred had grown too strong for any other species and they would not rest until the others were all gone or

What are some characteristics of the Crakers, and why did Crake decide to include these characteristics when designing them? If you had a chance tobioengineer a new human species, what characteristics would you include and why?
Many love stories end with happy endings, while others lead to tragedy. A forbidden love story, Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, displays a love triangle established through the main characters. Cyrano faced challenges, which impact how he is able to show his love. He is afraid to confess his feelings to Roxane because he knows she is in love with Christian, and is insecure about his nose. Unfortunately, he is self-consciousness about his nose, mainly due to its unusually massive size, prevents him from sharing these emotions directly to his love. In one case, this is shown in the balcony scene with Roxane, Christian, and Cyrano. For example, the balcony scene presents a situation with an obstacle towards the characters because Cyrano knows Roxane is in love with Christian, but cannot change the results of it since Roxane’s heart will break. He soon learns he has to let Roxane go, which is one of the hardest obstacles he has to face. Sometimes, letting loved ones go is devastating, but it is the right thing to do if it makes them happy.
Charlemagne, or Charles the Great, reigned during a time of much turmoil and upheaval in Europe during middle ages. Charlemagne’s background and family history contributed much to his rise to power. The triumphs of his past lineage prepared him to take on the task of governing the Frankish Empire, and defending it from invaders. Charlemagne accomplished much during his supremacy. He not only brought education back into medieval Europe, but also invented an efficient way to govern his people.

When I found out I qualified to be a candidate for the NJHS, I knew I had to take this chance. This group is made up of people who depict leadership, character, citizenship, academic success, and service and I would love to join. These characteristics wouldn't just be valuable for a candidate to have, but for everyone to have to exceed in life. If I were to be in the National Junior Honor Society, it would give me an opportunity to ameliorate my future and motivate me to do better.

In 2009 Chimamanda Adichie gave a TED talk about the ‘danger of a single story’. A single story meaning, one thought or one example of a person becoming what we think about all people that fit that description, a stereotype if you will. In today’s America, I believe that we have all felt the wave of stereotypical views at some point or another. Adichie gives many relatable examples throughout her life of how she has been affected by the single story. Her story brings about an issue that all humans, from every inch of the earth, have come to understand on some level. A young child reading only foreign books, a domestic helper that she only perceived as poor. Her college roommates single story about Africans and her own formation of a single

He believes he can defeat them all if only it would stay light. He asks God to allow time to freeze so Charlemagne may complete his revenge. At that moment an angel comes to Charlemagne’s side to say “Ride on, Charles, for the light shall not desert you.” While the biblical allusion of an angelic visit needs no explanation, its significance is not as clear. The angel coming to Charlemagne’s side again shows God’s support of Charlemagne’s cause. Another interesting aspect of this proclaimation is the significance of God’s promise of light. In Genesis, while God is creating the universe he creates light on the first day. To which it is said “And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.” Not only did God stop time for Charlemagne, he gave him more light, creating a clear divide that Charlemagne’s cause was holy. Since light is good and darkness is the antithesis, this is figurative of the Holy Christian cause compared to the corrupt Saracen
...prayer books, we get illustrations of the peasant farmer at work in his fields throughout the seasons, alluding to the year round labor required to feed a near starving passel of half a dozen children. In the illuminated Bibles, we see fabulous illustrations off the fabled kingdoms of the east and wild bestiaries of exotic man-imals and creatures said to dwell in terras ingonito, daring men to venture into the unknown again and call at the courts of Pryster John, lord of all the Indias. In the Cathedrals, some of the most dramatic mathematical aspirations were envisioned in stone as towns and masons set out to trump one another with brilliant feats of engineering not attempted since the heights of Rome. This was a world trying to right itself again after the fall of the greatest empire the world had ever seen, a world many wanted to see gain a new purchase on earth.

Since we are born we have imagination and as we grow up this imagination may increase or decrease. Creativity strongly relies in our imagination. Depending on different circumstances people learn to express their creativity openly while other people close themselves and believe they do not have creativity. Creativity is a natural talent that every single human has. Creativity can be used to solve a complex problem in a different manner or just to find innovative ways to have fun. Creativity is thinking out of the box. Even though creativity cannot be taught from scratch there should be a class that is specific for creativity.
