According to the research there are many reasons why people chose to run for an office. There are 4 main reasons why they do so, that is personal, opportunities, psychological, and altruistic. Some try to genuinely make difference on people life, and some try satisfying their ego the reason why to try to run for office. These candidates are running because they want to be on spotlight, they want respect from people and earn more money turning into lobbyist in future. 1 According to the Texas tribune “Last year, Donald trump’s presidential campaign spend about half of what Hilary Clinton’s campaign did and managed to win the white house”. This clearly shows that no amount of money you spend will secure your side. So, you can’t win campaign based solely on a money and you can’t run a campaign without money. Because to run a campaign you need to be able to collect money from the people who are most likely to give you like family, friends, relatives, neighbor etc. There are many ways how you can collect the money, first you need to collect the money from the people whom you already know, and you are established within them and the people who are most likely to trust you and give you the money. It’s easier to ask them money and there is a lot of probabilities of getting help from them. 2 Looking at how much the candidates spend per vote suggests money doesn’t make a difference in outcome. 1 Some cases in the past shows that you must have better name and recognition or the right party affiliation for that district and you don’t have to spend much money on them. If I were to choose any celebrity than I do go, choose Orpah Winey because she is very famous among the people. He has huge fan following and people trust her and get inspired her a lot.
