Prashant Neupane Professor Sharifian Govt 2306-73004 April 07, 2018 Election Campaign Texas is a big state and has many office divisions under an affiliated party and their duties relate to respective federal, state and county levels. The amount that is spent by a person to run for office in Texas fully depends on the motive of a campaigner. There is no any specific boundary for the magic money to share to win the vote because there are examples and faces where not even a single penny is not used to cast vote and for the victory of the campaigner. Following a democratic path with a member of the house of representative, me as a new campaigner, I would fix a budget of specific amount depending upon the flow of the number of voter’s

The development of an entire state is started with a local community. According to me, when several communities are developed then, one can opt for state level and hence an entire federal body. Firstly, I plan to raise money for the local level office. Being a responsible candidate needs to follow all the directions and rules of setting up a budget for his or her campaign. “The law of Texas requires every candidate to appoint a treasurer even if one is not going to raise any money.” I have assigned a campaign treasurer to plan, look and direct me a legal way to make and spend budget for my campaign. Since, it is a local level, serving the community is my first goal. The main part of my campaign budget solely depends on one’s personal funds and service funds generated by the activities and programs run at a local level. The main idea of mine is not getting a vote, rather capture the interest of the people through small activities that would benefit them and their community for a long …show more content…
Since I am running my campaign starting from a local level, the foremost thing that I will support is “Agriculture and Food”, I am fully aware that I will get a full support on this field because there are still Rural Americans, who fully depend on their bread and butter through agriculture. The development of agriculture and food not only helps a local level but also uplifts the lifestyle and economy to state and national level. Another interest groups that I am positive that they will support me, is the field of “Health and Healthcare”. Establishing a single hospital in a rural area can save the life of thousands of people. 1 “The art of medicine consists of amusing the patient while nature cures the disease.” (Voltaire). Setting up cheap services that would benefit the people in local level and changing the rules of expensive insurance policies to cheaper ones can benefit people of all ages in terms of health. So, I am sure that these two services will be fully supported by my party agenda and my campaign. However, there are some interest groups that I know that I think will oppose my campaign. This two field may be from anti-abortion group and the death penalty. This is because abortion is a taboo in many communities even if some Democrats supports legal abortion and it fully depends on the personal thinking and perspective of the people and the
An issue in Texas today is whether the public have sufficient control over the executive branch of Texas government. Texas has a plural executive, which mean the public not only elects the Lieutenant Governor, but also the Attorney General, Comptroller, Land Commissioner, and Agricultural Commissioner (Benson, Clinkscale, and Giardino 216). These elections add significantly to the “long ballet” that the public can vote for. Some argue that because there are so many to vote for, people cannot adequately vote for the positions. The research and attention needed to stay up to date on the elections can steer people away from voting. Many people vote for the governor and the lieutenant governor because of the title and how high the positions are.

It appears that political parties can't win per professional commentators and the general public. It is possible that they're in charge of causing divisions in society by being too partisan or they don't stand for anything since they represent too many diverse interests. These contradicting criticisms of parties are not new. Some of the Founders of the United States famously saw political parties as a source of intolerant spirit, which is a view that has continued in contemporary circumstances. At the same time, we frequently criticize parties for lacking any coherent political program. The long list of issue positions delivered by party committees is the outcome supposedly caused by the needs for parties to unite enough interests in order
An ideal legislature could be found in the middle ground between of Congress and the Texas Legislature. This legislature will be in session year round, be the engine of its government, and will have a clear and concise separation of

Texas went through a great amount of political change from being dominated by the Democratic Party during the 1960s and 70s, from the Republican Party taking over in the 80s. One of the big reasons for this change was due to the political party’s views. Throughout this essay I will discuss the changes of the political stances in Texas as well as the present day factors that affect America.
During the study of various reforms that were proposed and denied, both the GOP and Democrats attempted to find a balance that would guarantee the success of their proposals. Years of research, growing ideologies, political views and disregard for the country's constitution sparked an array of alternatives to solve the country's healthcare spending. The expenditure of US healthcare dollars was mostly due to hospital reimbursements, which constitute to 30% (Longest & Darr, 2008). During the research for alternatives, the gr...
1. How can we explain the low voting turnout, and low participation in general, in Texas? Consider how political culture, socio-economics, race/ethnicity, age, institutional laws etc. may affect these low rates.
With any decision, both parties (republican and democratic) campaign over the state to gain support from voters to increase their chances of being elected to the office that they desire. When voting most voters arrive at polling stations to vote, first for instance, they can be given a paper ballot on which they will select their choices and which later will be checked by hand; second they can be given a paper ballot on which they will select their choices with the assistance of a voting machine; or thirdly they can be given a sheet of paper with a numerical access code. Texans share a lot of the same essential needs of voting and nonvoting as other Americans. The republican party remains undefeated after a decade that saw fights over legislature redistricting, bitter and commonly intense campaigning around both inside and between the parties, continuously expensive battling up and down the ballot. In 2002, Republican competitors cleared all statewide races and took control of both houses of the Texas legislature, viably assuming the organizations of powers. The resulting year the legislative gathering returned to the distribution of districts for the U.S. House of Representatives the accomplishment of that offensive is seen inside the progressive changes in the delegations that are represented in the features of The Texas Delegation to the united states House of Representatives.
Agenda setting is the process that determines appropriate solutions to a certain problem of a given field (Kingdon, 3). The process itself consists of three streams: problems, policies, and politics (Kingdon, 16). These separate streams interact when windows of opportunity are open – solutions are fitted with problems, and the impetus for this relationship is amenable political forces (Kingdon, 20). Prominent agendas are determined by the problem or political streams, while solutions are crafted in in the policy stream (Kingdon, 20). In the field of health care, the agenda setting is based upon the high number of uninsured citizens, the rising cost of medical care, the development of Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) in response to this issue, and the key players that debate whether governmental involvement is the correct approach in the issue of universal healthcare.
The government of the state of Texas is a difficult and complicated institution that is composed of many different levels. The question comes in to everyone's mind at one time or another whether or not to trust the government. It could be that people believe that the officials will take advantage of their power, or simply people don't like the idea of being controlled by someone who is not a family member or friend. To avoid this centralized power, the government is divided into stages and this is a reasonable ground for trusting the government. Government runs this state and it does deserve to be trusted.
A substantial amount of Americans are without health insurance. We propose tax credits for small businesses that provide health insurance, retirement benefits, and employment and internships to students. We also propose that tax credits be given to businesses that practice clean air and environmental safety. We believe that our youth is a key concern of the nation and we need to set certain measures to make them feel safe and secure as Americans. A measure that we feel that needs to be taken is to raise taxes on such products as cigarettes and guns. The Democratic Party believes in helping American families economically and socially through more equitable tax benefits.
A country’s health care system refers to all the institutions, programs, personnel, procedures, and the resources that are used to meet the health needs of its population. Health care systems vary from one country to another, depending on government policies and the health needs of the population. Besides, health care programs are flexible in the sense that they are tailored to meet health needs as they arise. Among the stakeholders in the formulation of a country’s health care system are governments, religious groups, non-governmental organizations, charity organizations, trade/labor unions, and interested individuals (Duckett, 2008). These entities formulate, implement, evaluate, and reform health services according to the needs of the sections of the population they target.
“Texas law prevent them from taking money during a session from the people who elected them, but we allow them to take benefits during a session from people who are paid to influence them.” Interest groups should be prevented from dominating the legislative process by establishing public finance control of the senate and the House of Representatives. Public disclosure of the money of congressional campaigns. This will make sure the interest groups do not dominate the legislative process, and everyone voice will count
