Introduction
From the videos to the exam topics a variety of the key concepts presented strongly relate to life experience I have encountered personally and in my organization.
To begin, goal setting has always been a priority in my life, and I couldn’t agree more with Sanger-Harris that the characteristics of effective goals are through using SMART goals. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-bound; these goals are not only beneficial to an individual, but incorporating them in the workplace has an even greater impact. A SMART goal I have been working toward is graduating college. This goal of mine is no doubt a SMART goal, and I look forward to the day it is achieved. Along with this treasured goal, my workplace sets monthly goals for the employees to reach, and the opportunity to achieve these goals as a team is very motivating. In fact, my coworkers and I just received a cash bonus for meeting our sales goals for the entire month of July! Core Self Evaluation

While I struggled for many years with low self-esteem, as I strongly believed what other people thought of me, I am proud to say today I have a much higher self-esteem. From competing in a pageant, to being a cheer captain, these life experiences have truly influenced my self-esteem. Like John Wooden shared, “make the efforts and do what you can, never try to be better than yourself, and be patient in whatever you’re doing.” Today I have done just that; I am proud of all of my accomplishments, and am continually utilizing my strengths to be the best employee I can be in my
