Essential aspects of self-directed, intrinsically motivated, active learner. Self directed. Take initiative – Initiative it means having a new plan, new ideas or new procedures in solving a problem or something difficult or simple. This is the main and the most usable aspect of self-directed concept. The self-directed student should always starts learning without wait external forces from outside. Do not wait for someone outside to encourage your learning. The initiative starts from ones personal step. Inherent, happen, when a person do things as natural exist or as a basic part of something without waiting for any external forces. Satisfaction, happen when a person do things as the act of fun or enjoyment rather than because of rewards, promotions, or any other external prods. It is a pleasant or a feeling that the person get when receive or doing something, he or she wanted. Active learner. According to my point of view the active learner’s aspects are; 1. Reading, the active learner is reading different king of materials such as book, journals, newspaper and so on. Through reading, the people acquire different knowledge and make its application in life. 2. Discussion, the active learner participates in peer discussion and any other assignment. This will help problem solving, experimentation, synthesis and other evaluation of contents. Two areas of personal strength (self-motivated) 1. Gain self-awareness- am aware of myself regarding my knowledge and my judgments. I get angry very quickly; usually I keep myself in way that not to hurt others 2. Believe in myself- still I do not completely believe in myself. I feel like I have doubt on my competence and my personal value. Personal strategies. 1. To be kindness and good manners- I will speak cheerful, smile and acknowledge to everyone across me. I will always say thank you very much, hold a door open to everyone and offer help to anyone who need such help. 2. Learning English grammar-, I will buy an English grammar book and try to learn by myself. I am going to write to our online student-writing center for help, and for any further consultation. 3. To try one thing everyday- If I try new thing every day it means that for one year I am going to have at least 300 new things tried. Taking those things, which I like and I enjoy, will help me to face problems in my life. 4. Be present- to keep my attention on current situations. I would tell myself to be more competitive.
