A work placement offers you the chance to access good experience spending time working for an employer and carrying out duties within the company as a normal employer would. Volunteering is an opening for the individual to gain more skills and have access to training and resources that support your career development. This can range from working in a hospital to supporting and shadowing in a care home. CPD should lead to you making changes to how you work which improves the service that you provide and the delivery to the service user will make sure that they are happy and healthy. For example, a CPD activity which has improved your practice because you have gained new skills, and as a result of this you are able to provide a better service to the service
Clinical Supervision is the life wire of any health are professional. It is the on the job teaching that takes place between the supervisor and supervisee. It is a lifelong learning used for personal and professional development which is useful both in nursing education and clinical practice. Its benefit cannot be overemphasized as it is known to improve job satisfaction and prevention of stress /burnout. The occupations that I have chosen to analyze using the three elements for this assignment are paraprofessional, what I am currently, and a teacher, what I am going to college to become. Teachers and paraprofessionals work side by side, collaborate, plan, and share many of the same experiences. In the previous part of this paper, the definition of Lifelong Learning is discussed and elaborated in details. However, it appears that the current conception of lifelong learning focus on “education” rather than “learning” as the recognition of certification and qualification is the main emphasis. This is closely linked to the continual renewal of licenses to practice a profession. Hence, there is a lower emphasis and value placed on “vocational” learning for personal interest and enrichment.
