I am a cocoon still on the verge of transformation. In order for me to grow as a person, there are many procedures that are crucial. NJ LEEP’s College Bound Program is specifically one of the essential steps. This program will allow me to improve myself. It can enhance my time management and allow me to ponder in a distinctive way, too. In addition, I can obtain a higher amount of knowledge through the program’s rigorous courses. I realized through my five years in Harrison, I was not exposed to how life really works. Therefore, my opportunities to experience the real world and meeting new people were minimal. Harrison restricts my life experiences. However, NJ LEEP provides opportunities that will benefit me. Overcoming fears might be difficult, such as public speaking. By being resilient and working hard, I will succeed and stand out. I do not want to be another nameless person in a crowd. I want to prove Asian stereotypes, such as being shy, is false. I recognize that I am not the best writer or a confident person. However, NJ LEEP can offer me many opportunities that will allow me to become wiser and improve upon my flaws. “Do something today that your future self will thank you for.” Although this quote might be unknown, it has a strong meaning. In other words, I should take opportunities that come my way. I understand that life is not easy. There are many hardships that I will encounter in my life. I hope NJ LEEP is one of them. Knowing this program is challenging, I will push myself harder to succeed. Acceptance into NJ LEEP will allow me to obtain college skills and overcome my fear of shyness. I am reserved and afraid to take chances because I fear failure. NJ LEEP will help me surpass this
