Everyone enjoys a taste of fizzyness in their mouths, in other words, soft drinks, which are also known as “soda, pop, coke, soda pop or fizzy drink”, is a beverage that contains water, not always carbonated, it also contains sweetner as well as a flavoring agent. sweetner used in these drinks may be sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, fruit juice, in case of diet drinks it may have sugar substitues and a combination of all of these. Soft drinks may also contain caffine, colorings, preservatives and “other ingredients”.The high demand of soft drinks made me look into it and the company I chose to focus on for my case study is Coca-Cola. The reason I chose this company is because I find the logo and the font it uses quite intruiging. The curving of each of the letters used in the logo relate closely to the movement of art nouveau and for some of the background of the logo, it closely fits in with art deco as a movement. Coca-Cola possesses one of the most recognised brand designs in his... ... middle of paper ... ...ich is much more free flowing. The use of this art movement during a brief period allowed Coca-Cola to be seen as strong and bold and with the addition of the colour along side with the foreground of the script, the logo was peceived as a strong, bold and confident logo. Art Deco, during its era was known to be bold, stark, which had simple yet crisp lines. Coca-Cola started using this art form when it first introduced the “fishtail” in the logo, after which from 1969 it started using a simple cube as a background which was red and over it, it had the Spencerian Scripted font of Coca-Cola and under it there was the Coca-Cola dynamic ribbon showing off the use of the art nouveau movement. The use of these two art movements in one logo made the people connect to them somehow. The use to of red in the logo was to get attention of people and it boomed to great success.
