INTRODUCTION
Software as a service or SaaS is a technology made available for use within the cloud computing service that help businesses network or communicate effectively and at reasonable costs. SaaS is growing in popularity with projected sales levels to double by 2015 from the $10 billion reported in 2010 (Wikipedia, 2014). So, what exactly is SaaS by definition, and how does it distribute on a multi-tenant architecture? There are advantages and disadvantages to this service, but it does offer a few application types for businesses such as an all-in-one business package, social network applications, email capabilities, and analytics. The future trends include hybrid SaaS applications, global outlook, and possible vertical integration of SaaS. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate software as a service, along with its functions, looking towards emerging trends involved with this technological service.
WHAT IS SAAS?
Wikipedia (2014) defines software as a service as, “a software delivery mode in which software and associated data are centrally hosted on the cloud by independent software vendors or application service providers.” However, SaaS originates from SOA, a service-oriented architecture or form of grid computing (McLellan, 2013). SOA is an architectural platform that combines businesses as linked tasks or services (IBM, n.d.). Then, in the 90’s, application service providers gave businesses hosting services and application management while reducing costs from central administrators and solution providers (Wikipedia, 2014). When ASP’s began, they worked to manage and host independent software vendors, but SaaS vendors manage their own software (Wikipedia, 2014). Today’s SaaS relies on the internet, whereas i...

The second cloud infrastructure that I would like to describe is the Software as a Service model, which is also known as SaaS. The SaaS model provides a broad scope of devices that are able to access software programs from one company’s applications. System as a service was developed to run applications from any device or user that has permission from the host. The book states, “Online email services, such as Gmail and Yahoo!, are good examples of SaaS” (Jill West, 2016). Cengage Learning made the Software as a
As its core essences cloud computing is nothing but a specialized form of grid computing and distributing computing’s which various in terms of infrastructure , deployment, service and Geographic’s dispersion (Veeramachanenin, Sepetember 2015) the cloud enhance scalability, collaboration, availability , ability to adapt to fluctuation according to demand accelerate development work and provide optional for cost reduction and through efficient and optimized computing. (BH kawljeet, June 2015) cloud computing (CC) recently become as a new paradigm for the delivery and hosting of services our the internet. There are mainly three service delivery model Software as Service (SaaS) required software, operating system and network is provided or we can say in SaaS the customer can access the hosted software instead of installing it in local computer and the user can access these software through local computer internet browser (e.g web enabled E-mail ) the user only pay and the cloud service provider is responsible for management or control of mobile cloud infrastructure some of the company which provide such service are Google, Microsoft , Salesforce ,Facebook, etc…..Infrastructure as Service(IaaS)the cloud provider only provide some hardware resources such as network and virtualization is

The transition from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0 ushered in major paradigms shifts in the software industry. Software evolved from being a licensed product to being a subscribed web service. Development efforts slid from the tight control of specialists, for example systems analysts and programmers, towards a collaborative project between end users and technology experts. Learners are now required to teach themselves and teachers are there to facilitate the learning process. The dissemination of knowledge and wisdom would gravitate away from the puritanical filters of rigorous scholastic scrutiny towards a mashed-up crowd sourced assembly such as Wikipedia. Personal websites would now encompass a social networki...

In 1997, Professor Ramnath Chellapa of Emory University and the University of Southern California defined cloud computing as the new “computing paradigm where the boundaries of computing will be determined by economic rationale rather than technical limits alone.” (Eze Castle Integration Inc., 2013) In the late 1990s, the internal efficiencies of cloud computing and its importance was better understood by companies. In 1999, the thought of conveying enterprise-level applications to end users via the Internet was done by Salesforce.com, who was the first major movers in the cloud arena. Customers with internet access were able to buy this service affordably.
When they wanted to save photos online instead of on your personal computer, they are able to use “cloud computing” service. Cloud computing means that the transfer of computing data or information over the internet. Not just to keep data in your personal computer, they are able to save the data on internet server to open their data in any computer. In this report we will walk through about what is cloud computing, what kinds of model did cloud computing have, types of cloud computing, benefits of cloud computing, and security.
Cloud Computing gives good efficiency even for small service. Ex: Amazon S3 provides services for storage and retrieval of data in the Cloud. Data as small as 1 byte and as large as 5 GB or even more can be stored in Cloud servers. But, the storage service in Grid computing is well suited for data-intensive storage. Storing as small as 1 byte in data grid is not economically suited. The amount of data must be large for maximum benefit
Saas is the model in which an application is hosted as a service to customers who access it via the internet. E.g. Google docs, salesforce.com, CRM, ERP, email, social networking.
Abstract: Fog computing extends cloud computing, cloud computing provide data, compute, storage, and application services to end-user, also the fog computing also provide the services like data, compute ,storage and application to end user. But in cloud the main problem that occurs is security and now a days security and privacy both are main concern that needed to be considered. Fog Computing is not a replacement of cloud it is just extends the cloud computing by providing security in the cloud environment. With Fog services we are able to enhance the cloud experience by isolating users’ data that need to live on the edge. The main aim of the fog computing is to place the data close to the end user. The securityissues are mentioned in this paper.
