History of cloud computing
The word "cloud" is used to represent the internet and other communications systems. Cloud computing is the result of an evolution of the widespread adoption of virtualization, service-oriented architecture, autonomic, and utility computing in the past, telecommunications companies mainly gave simply dedicated, point-to-point data circuits to their users. Starting from the 1990's, virtual private network services was included in their contributions. It made the telecommunication companies offer equally improved services whereby cutting down on cost as well as using resources effectively.
The term "cloud" represented the computing space between the provider and the end user. In 1997, Professor Ramnath Chellapa of Emory University and the University of South California defined cloud computing as the new “computing paradigm where the boundaries of computing will be determined by economic rationale rather than technical limits alone.” (Eze Castle Integration Inc., 2013)
In the late 1990s, the internal efficiencies of cloud computing and its importance was better understood by companies. In 1999, the thought of conveying enterprise-level applications to end users via the Internet was done by Salesforce.com who was the first major movers in the cloud arena. Customers with internet access were able to buy this service affordably.
In the early 2000s, Amazon.com introduced the web-based retail services .The first major organization to update its data centers was Amazon It only used 10% of their capacity due to the fact that other companies were nervous about unexpected spike in the capacity needs. The new cloud computing infrastructure model permitted Amazon to exploit their existing capacity with much grea...

...issue while in the cloud is that of security issues .You have to be careful which third party cloud service provider you dealing because all your company's sensitive information will be available to them.
Prone to Attack
Data and information stored on the cloud may become vulnerable to external hackers and threats. The internet is not completely secured lurking the likelihood of furtiveness of sensitive data.
Technical Issues
Sometimes the data and information on the cloud is not accessible anywhere due to system and technical difficulties. A very good internet connection is needed to be able to be logged on to the severs at all times. At other times there are network and connectivity issues.
Be aware of the fact that this technology is always prone to outages and other technical issues.

Cloud is the result of a decade research in the field of distributing computing , utility computing, virtualization , grid computing and more recently software, network services and web technology which is changeable evolution on demanding technology and services also as looking to the rapid growth of cloud computing which have changed the global computing infrastructure as well as the concept of computing resources toward cloud infrastructure. The important and interest of cloud computing increasing day by day and this technology receives more and more attention in the world (Jain, 2014) the mostly widely used definition of cloud computing is introduced by NIST “as a model for enabling a convenient on demand network access
Growth is core to Amazon.com's business strategy, and that has had a significant impact on the way they use technology: growth through more categories, a larger selection, more services, more buying customers, more sellers, more merchants, and more developers, increasing the different access methods, and expanding delivery mechanisms. The impact has been on many areas: larger data sets, faster update rates, more requests, more services, tighter SLAs (service-level agreements), more failures, more latency challenges, more service interdependencies, more developers, more documentation, more programs, more servers, more networks, more data centers. A large part of Amazon.com's technology evolution has been driven to enable this continuing growth, to be ultra-scalable while maintaining availability and performance.
Amazon's website vendors are a myriad of products and services. The current hardware and software infrastructure in place is optimal but supplementing new technology can help the website reach maximum efficiency. Product X is being used for softwarre. X is for hardware. Database/comm is x. SDLC can assist the aforementioned technologies by analyzing what is currently being utilized and improving it. SDLC is a system that consists of 3 phases which are system definition, requirement phase, and component design. A disaster recovery plan should be in place for current and new technoliges. The plan would include data back up and a secondary facility. The System Desgin Life Cycle can improve Amazon's efficiency and functionality.
Today, computing is a paradox because computers are rapidly becoming powerful yet the cost of producing them is falling. As a result, computing is emerging as changing trend in the business society. Most clients are heavy users cloud computing owing to statistics that 30.2 percent of cloud computing services are projected to go public by 2018 (…………….). In fact, it is obvious that the number of global users of cloud computing services such as social media, email, mobile application users, and gaming are rapidly increasing. Thus, the entrepreneurs are embracing cloud computing as a sufficient solution for improving business agility while reducing costs. This paper is a business impact analysis on cloud computing because it provides a detailed description, technology, future trends, examples of companies, regulatory is...
Amazon.com was a venture into an emerging market of internet and had to face hidden and unexpected hurdles in order to survive and excel in the market. Therefore, Amazon.com kept modifying its strategies with their focus on enhancing customer experience of online shopping and to delivery exceptional services with complete convenience to their customers. One of the major strategic decisions was to compromise on cost saving stragegy when Amazon.com started to maintain its own warehouses in different countries in order to ensure timely and accurate delivery to their customers
Amazon Web Services has benefitted Ericsson. Ericsson had specific business needs for the support of their business and Amazon’s Web Services was able to provide them with a robust global infrastructure that provided Ericson some significant cost savings. AWS gave them the ability to scale their application according to the business demand or changes. Remote assess has allowed then the ability to access their systems via the cloud anytime from anywhere. Ericsson chose AWS because they are considered to be the best integrated public cloud provider. “The Ericsson team states that having hosting centers in various regions was important for them. AWS also showed a better quality of service with solid management and a proven track record.” (Amazon Web Services, 2012)
Cloud computing is a very ambiguous term as everyone seems to have a different definition of what it means. One definition was suggested by Simon Wardley and Connonical (2009) who believed cloud computing to be a “generic term used to describe the disruptive transformation in IT towards a service based economy driven by a set of economic, cultural and technological transformations”. As a metaphor for the Internet, "the cloud" is a familiar term, but when it is combined with the term computing, the meaning gets broader and much harder to explain. Some individuals define cloud computing as an updated version of utility computing which started up in the 1960’s while others believe cloud computing is a term that defines a much larger range of services that include Saas (software as a service), platform as a service, MSP (managed service providers) and more. Cloud computing came into the spotlight when firms started thinking about a way to increase capacity or add capabilities instantly without investing in new infrastructure, training new employees, or licensing new software. Therefore it can be argued that cloud computing includes any subscription-based or pay-per-use service that extends a firms existing IT capabilities.
The key strategy implementation efforts at Amazon all surround the use of “big data”. Big data is the growth and availability of large volumes of structured/unstructured data. The use of big data has allowed decision making based upon data and analysis instead of past experience and intuition. Big data has directed organizational change in allowing Amazon to expand from an online book store to an internet giant. Revolutionary application of big data has allowed Amazon to create superior service quality while motivating employees by providing real time information to solve customer issues. Big data has strengthened Amazon’s competitive capabilities by pioneering the application of big data and charging a monthly fee to smaller businesses
The key to Amazon’s strategy is the IT infrastructure’s ability to deal with more than a million requests at a consistent, error-free rate (Demir, 2017, p.12). Not to mention, Amazon’s Web Services makes up for about 10 percent of their total revenue. The first big play for Amazon’s Web Services was the launch of DynamoDB which sent customer data to multiple databases creating a strong collaboration system. By testing this system for long periods of time, Amazon analyzed the faults within it. However, with this jewel, engineers expanded new features and algorithms within the system. In order to get the design up to expectations, engineers improved the mastery of independent codes. Throughout the complexity of Amazon’s expansions, AWS has played a pivotal role in the Systems Developmental Life Cycle. “As an example of this growth, in 2006, AWS launched S3, its Simple Storage Service…Less than a year later it had grown to two trillion objects and was regularly handling 1.1 million requests per second” (Newcombe, 2015, p. 66). Developing such systems has given Amazon the ability to establish unforeseeable innovation which continues to astonish the entire world. As everything has become newer and improved through technology, Amazon implements this into each and every
Cloud computing facilitates sharing of computing and storage resources with the aim of reducing computing expenses in organizations. Moreover, cloud computing facilitates information sharing among individuals within a cloud. Despite being advantageous, data stored in a cloud is usually prone to hacking and other security issues. This paper addresses the various mitigation measures that organizations are using to ensure that data stored in the cloud is secure.
The term "the cloud" is essentially a metaphor for the Internet] Marketers have further popularized the phrase "in the cloud" to refer to software, platforms and infrastructure that are sold "as a service", i.e. remotely through the Internet. Typically, the seller has actual energy-consuming servers which host products and services from a remote location, so end-users don't have to; they can simply log on to the network without installing anything. The major models of cloud computing service are known as software as a service, platform as a service, and infrastructure as a service. These cloud services may be offered in a public, private or hybrid network. Google, Amazon, IBM, Oracle Cloud, Salesforce, Zoho and Microsoft Azure are some well-known cloud vendors.
Using cloud computing, you can access your files and programs from any computer anywhere in the world, all you need is an Internet connection.
When they wanted to save photos online instead of on your personal computer, they are able to use “cloud computing” service. Cloud computing means that the transfer of computing data or information over the internet. Not just to keep data in your personal computer, they are able to save the data on internet server to open their data in any computer. In this report we will walk through about what is cloud computing, what kinds of model did cloud computing have, types of cloud computing, benefits of cloud computing, and security.
In cloud computing, the word cloud is used as a metaphor for “the internet”. So the cloud computing means “a type of internet-based computing”, where different services such as servers, storage and applications are delivered to an organization’s computers and devices through the internet.
