Cloud computing is a very ambiguous term as everyone seems to have a different definition of what it means. One definition was suggested by Simon Wardley and Connonical (2009) who believed cloud computing to be a “generic term used to describe the disruptive transformation in IT towards a service based economy driven by a set of economic, cultural and technological transformations”. As a metaphor for the Internet, "the cloud" is a familiar term, but when it is combined with the term computing, the meaning gets broader and much harder to explain. Some individuals define cloud computing as an updated version of utility computing which started up in the 1960’s while others believe cloud computing is a term that defines a much larger range of services that include Saas (software as a service), platform as a service, MSP (managed service providers)
and more. Cloud computing came into the spotlight when firms started thinking about a way to increase capacity or add capabilities instantly without investing in new infrastructure, training new employees, or licensing new software. Therefore it can be argued that cloud computing includes any subscription-based or pay-per-use service that extends a firms existing IT capabilities.
Cloud computing is a fairly recent term however many of the functions that go under the branch of cloud computing have been around far longer then the term ‘ the cloud’ has. For example, Salesforce.com can be seen as an example of cloud computing where they have provided SaaS for over a decade, which run as an application on the Internet, far before the term ‘cloud computing’ was mentioned. However, on the other side of the spectrum there is the Amazon EC2 (elastic compute cloud), which is a pl...

...etween SaaS and MSP in the sense that this cloud computing service offers a service hub that users interact with.
In conclusion, cloud computing includes many services in its definition. Referring to Larry Ellisons quote, it can be argued that he was correct in stating that we have redefined everything that we already do, since services such as SaaS and MSP had already been in play years ago. However, the term cloud computing is unique in the sense that it suggests that all of these services are integrated with each other rather than being separate entities. Therefore, cloud computing compromises of many functions some of which are old but the difference lies on the fact that cloud computing relies on the sharing of resources so that in a sense economies of scale can be achieved and converged infrastructure and shared services can be taken advantage of.
Best example of cloud computing is Google drive and Apple iCloud. Google drive is an unadulterated distributed computing administration, with all the capacity discovered online so it can work with the cloud applications: Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides. Drive is additionally accessible on something other than personal computers; you can utilize it on tablets like the iPad
As its core essences cloud computing is nothing but a specialized form of grid computing and distributing computing’s which various in terms of infrastructure , deployment, service and Geographic’s dispersion (Veeramachanenin, Sepetember 2015) the cloud enhance scalability, collaboration, availability , ability to adapt to fluctuation according to demand accelerate development work and provide optional for cost reduction and through efficient and optimized computing. (BH kawljeet, June 2015) cloud computing (CC) recently become as a new paradigm for the delivery and hosting of services our the internet. There are mainly three service delivery model Software as Service (SaaS) required software, operating system and network is provided or we can say in SaaS the customer can access the hosted software instead of installing it in local computer and the user can access these software through local computer internet browser (e.g web enabled E-mail ) the user only pay and the cloud service provider is responsible for management or control of mobile cloud infrastructure some of the company which provide such service are Google, Microsoft , Salesforce ,Facebook, etc…..Infrastructure as Service(IaaS)the cloud provider only provide some hardware resources such as network and virtualization is
Telehealth involves the distribution of health-related services and information. Distribution via electronic information and telecommunication technologies. It allows long distance patient/clinician contact and care, advice, reminders, education, intervention, monitoring and remote assistance. Telehealth could include two clinicians discussing a case over video conference, a robotic surgery occurring through remote access, physical therapy done via digital monitoring instruments, live feed and application combinations, and many more. As the population grows and ages, and medical advances are made with prolong life, demands increase on the healthcare system.
...Implementation of cloud systems can be implemented in stages with costs that coincide with usage. The ROI outweighs the issues or problems that could occur. Cloud computing gives a competitive advantage of being able to keep up with changes in technology without having the cost involved. Amazons cloud computing allowed companies like Ericsson to remain competitive and thrive.
Virtualization technologies provide isolation of operating systems from hardware. This separation enables hardware resource sharing. With virtualization, a system pretends to be two or more of the same system [23]. Most modern operating systems contain a simplified system of virtualization. Each running process is able to act as if it is the only thing running. The CPUs and memory are virtualized. If a process tries to consume all of the CPU, a modern operating system will pre-empt it and allow others their fair share. Similarly, a running process typically has its own virtual address space that the operating system maps to physical memory to give the process the illusion that it is the only user of RAM.
Cyber Security as an International Security Threat National and International Security is a sum of the actions taken by countries and other organizations that can guarantee the safety and well being of their population. It is vital for a nation to pre-emptively discover what issues could affect their security, and take action to prevent any detrimental or harmful events from happening. With the development of technology and the transition into a more technologically savvy society, cyber security has become one of the most prevalent and important economic and national security issues that the United States will come to face. United States President Barack Obama has identified cyber security as a key issue the nation will face. President Obama declared that the “cyber threat is one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation” and that “America's economic prosperity in the 21st century will depend on cyber security (“Foreign Policy Cyber Security,” 2013).”
Cloud computing involves a lot of concepts and technologies. Companies and corporations such as Amazon, Google and Microsoft are providing services following the logic of computational infrastructure cloud computing, with Amazon the pioneer in providing and marketing infrastructure of this kind.
Cloud storage basic terms, is a way to save information to the web that can managed data storage. Cloud computing services are online services, which store this information to a safe and secure location online. It’s offered a quicker, easier and safer backup than conventional methods of file storage such as bookshelves or cardboard files.
Cloud computing is the transfer of computing data or information into Internet. Cloud computing services allows individuals and businesses to
Plenty of researchers have done reviews about the impact of cyber warfare to take effect in the recent decades. Voices and opinions are different, when it comes to whether cyber war will take place or not, with most of the articles claiming that cyber security is alarming towards a negative effect. Like Arquilla & Ronfeldt,(1993) wrote about the coming of cyber war, and further went on to state that “industrialization led to attritional warfare by massive armies (e.g., World War I). Mechanization led to maneuver predominated by tanks (e.g., World War II). The information revolution implies the rise of cyber war”. However, Rid,(2012) pointed out that cyber war will not take place, clearly defined what cyber war entails, and make clear the difference between cyber-attacks and warfare.
Cyber security is the protection of networks, computers, programs and data from attack, damage or unauthorized access. This is important because a great number of our confidential information is on computers and transmit that data across networks to other computers. As of now cyber-attack is one of the transnational issues that we are concern about in the United States. If these private networks were hack our national security infrastructure will be in distress.
Andrew Massung Mr. Wyse ENC 1101 15 October 2015 Cyber Warfare: the New Frontier Since the beginning of time, mankind has waged war against each other. Over the years, warfare has evolved, from fighting with sticks and stones to using gunpowder and launching missiles. The newest, and possibly most destructive, type of warfare is cyber warfare. Cyber warfare has the potential to be more devastating than nuclear warfare.
Many studies have been conducted on the various features of cyberspace, its connection to social media, and how it influences professional, intimate, and cordial relationships. Although many spectators are convinced that society’s frequent use of cyberspace has taken a turn down the wrong path, cyberspace has opened up many opportunities for professional relationships to establish, such as the relationship between Facebook usage and an increase in work values in Taiwan (Lin, Le, Khalil, & Cheng, 2012). However, contradictory results suggest that heavy use of the internet by young children, specifically adolescent girls, may be a factor of negative social well-being (Pea et al., 2012). In order to fully understand how social cyberspace affects everyday relationships, all forms of interactions must be examined. This paper will examine the positive and negative effects of cyberspace connections and whether they should be utilized and in what manner.
Saas is the model in which an application is hosted as a service to customers who access it via the internet. E.g. Google docs, salesforce.com, CRM, ERP, email, social networking.
We have lot of tools which is used for e-Governance by which we can allow users to connect and communicate with each other through one or more of the following technological channels:
